Rudo breathed heavily, gasping for all the air he could inhale, his mind spinning violently as he opened his eyes. The nurse let out a startled gasp and stumbled backward, the clipboard clattering to the floor.
"AHHH"
Another one of the nurse came barging, "What happened."
"He—he just woke up," the first nurse stammered. "Something's not right."
Rudo slowly pushed himself up from the bed. Every movement was strained, as though his limbs were fighting against him. He reached toward his chest, his hand trembling. "Where... am I?" he asked, voice hoarse.
"You are in the infirmary," the second nurse replied carefully, watching him with squinted eyes. Rudo turned his head towards her, bloodshot veins spread out from his pupils like cracks in glass.
"Where are they... those monsters?" His eyes darted around the room in terror.
The nurse furrowed her brow. "What are you talking about?"
Rudo's breathing grew heavier. "Who brought me here?"
