Grigori, Underworld.
This was the headquarters of the Fallen Angels led by Azazel.
Originating from the Fifth Heaven, these angels were once pure beings, created directly by God. However, they fell when they gave in to their desires and mingled with human women. Led by Azazel, the Grigori participated in the Great War against Heaven, facing God and His angels, and against the Underworld, confronting the Four Great Satans and the original demons. After the death of God and the Satans, the Grigori were the first to retreat, devastated by the heavy losses they suffered. Only Kokabiel, one of the Cadres, insisted on continuing the conflict, but he was restrained by the other leaders.
After the Great War, the Grigori took refuge in the human world, turning their focus to the study of Sacred Gears and the development of Artificial Sacred Gears. They also began to take in users of Sacred Gears who were orphaned or abandoned. Despite their violent origins, the organization adopted a strict policy: avoid causing harm to the human world and eliminate Sacred Gear users who posed a danger, thus preventing future threats.
The Grigori headquarters was located in the Underworld, sharing territory with the demon faction, though the area controlled by the demons was far larger.
In the halls of the Grigori, it was common to see constant movement: fallen angels, human Sacred Gear users, mages, and even exorcists who had abandoned the Church or defectors from other factions. The Grigori did not discriminate based on the origins of their allies, as long as they served their purposes.
At that moment, however, all activity came to a halt. All eyes turned to a figure calmly walking down the corridor. Instantly, everyone bowed—fallen angels, mages, and Sacred Gear users—in a gesture of respect and admiration.
He was a tall man, his snow-white hair standing out in the light, and his blue eyes seemed to soften the souls of all who met his gaze. Wherever he went, he drew attention: women, whether fallen angels or not, blushed, waved, and shouted his name, while men alternated between envy and respect.
Walking beside him was an extraordinarily beautiful young woman, her design charming, simple, and harmonious. Unlike the standard Chaldea uniform, she wore an elegant black dress adorned with a red tie bearing the organization's symbol, paired with a white and gray jacket. She wore black tights and brown boots, sporting a pair of delicate glasses. Her stature was average, but her body had pronounced curves, even more evident when she assumed her Servant form. Her smooth, short pink hair fell just above her shoulders, partially covering one of her eyes.
These two were Ryougi Kazuya and, by his side, his loyal Servant, Mashu Kyrielight, who had been summoned a few days earlier.
After an emotional reunion with all his friends and lovers from his past life, a few days had passed in the blink of an eye.
With the help of Da Vinci, Nikola Tesla, and a dozen homunculi created by him through his mastery of Magecraft, Chaldea was operating at full capacity. All of the organization's technologies could be used even in his absence, allowing him to dedicate more time to leisure moments with his Servants, as well as maintaining his training routine, as always.
It went without saying that their presence in a completely different world from the one they knew sparked great curiosity… and this, inevitably, led to some incidents of considerable proportions.
The first occurred in their almost "official" territory: Japan. His dear Archer, Oda Nobunaga, decided to visit "her" country in this new world to see if it was interesting, just one day after being invited. At first, it seemed like a simple excursion, but she ended up getting involved with the Five Main Clans. After being insulted by a young master from one of these clans, who, despite knowing her connection to Chaldea, treated her with disrespect, Nobunaga didn't hesitate to act. The result was the complete annihilation of one of the clans, leaving only four.
Naturally, this sparked a thirst for revenge among the survivors, but, to summarize the story, almost all of them were eliminated, leaving only a few members. The real problem came later: dealing with the Japanese gods tied to the Five Main Clans. They questioned his organization, claiming that the action went against the existing alliance. After hearing his explanation of the events, most chose to overlook the matter.
Still, among them, Susanoo-no-Mikoto decided to intervene, challenging Nobunaga to a duel without external interference to settle the dispute. The wager was simple: if he lost, he would drop the issue, and all the gods under his command would do the same. But if he won, he would have the right to train daily with Kazuya.
Yes, Susanoo was a complete combat fanatic and, since the first time he faced Kazuya, had been obsessed with a rematch. As for the fact that some of his worshippers had been killed… well, for Japanese gods, that wasn't exactly something that kept them up at night.
The duel ended with the overwhelming victory of the "Great Fool of Owari," whose specialty was precisely dealing with divine entities. Of course, there was a price to pay to repair the damages caused, but it wasn't of much importance to the richest man in the world.
It's worth noting that no innocent suffered consequences during the entire incident involving Nobunaga or any of his other Servants. If someone died, he simply brought them back to life and erased all memories related to the event.
Following Oda Nobunaga's example, Ozymandias traveled to Egypt as the legitimate pharaoh and, inevitably, clashed with the local gods, whom he considered an offense. In the end, he defeated all the so-called "false gods" and established himself as the rightful ruler of the region. Among his victories was the defeat of Amon-Ra, one of the Ten Strongest Beings in the world.
The King of Heroes… or rather, the Queen of Heroes, whose pride was greater than that of a dinosaur, soon decided to visit her "Garden." After all, as the rightful sovereign of the world, even if it wasn't the world where she was born, she felt obliged to personally check how her subjects were tending to it. In practical terms, her attitude resembled that of an owner inspecting the work of her employees in a mansion she hadn't visited in a long time… or one she had bought but never set foot in.
She took Enkidu along.
And guess what? Somehow, the two ended up getting involved with Olympus. From what was learned, Zeus made the mistake of trying to court Gilgamesh during her visit. The result was immediate: she killed him without ceremony and, in the process, exterminated nearly the entire Greek pantheon. Among the victims was Hades himself, one of the Strongest Beings in the world, whose domain was completely obliterated when the Queen of Heroes decided to blow up the entire region that constituted his territory in the Underworld.
Wanting to have some fun too, Merlin decided to spread a bit of chaos and ended up becoming the director of a human magical agency in this world, no less than the fusion of the three largest existing organizations: Rosenkreuzer, Golden Dawn, and Grauzauberer. She also took Le Fay, who had joined Chaldea after the defeat of the heroic faction at their hands, alongside her brother and Lavinia Reni, as disciples, though in practice, she spent more time at Chaldea than teaching anything to said organization.
And what triggered all this? Well… it was simply the fact that her identity as the Mage of Flowers had been revealed.
The name Merlin was known in every corner of the planet, bearing the title of King of Mages. Merlin Ambrosius, the man who, alone, founded the entire Mage Faction. A human who took the knowledge of Devil's Magic and shaped it into a form usable by ordinary people, a true legendary mage.
Any mage would dream of learning from someone so extraordinary, and they all had that opportunity. The fact that the "mage" in question was, in fact, a woman and, moreover, one of the summons of the strongest human in the world didn't bother anyone. On the contrary, the news was received with enthusiasm, especially because it allowed them to work directly with the [Summoner of Miracles], the greatest summoner mage in the world and also the most powerful human in history.
Thus, the [Mage Association] subordinate to Chaldea was born, but that's a story for another time.
Although the departure of some Servants caused problems for him, it also prevented others, such as the Five Main Clans or even Hades, considering what he knew about the future of that world. Not all followed this pattern, however.
For example, Da Vinci and Nikola Tesla remained in their laboratories, dedicated to experiments. Medb often stayed close to him at Chaldea, which sometimes led to more intimate situations with Ishtar, occasionally turning into a threesome, or even a foursome when Ereshkigal got involved. BB invented all sorts of… strange and fun things, often accompanied by Medusa herself. Medea also spent her time in her room, trying to share moments with him. Musashi enjoyed drinking and training in the art of the sword by his side, while Mordred occasionally joined in the activities. Curiously, summoning all the Knights of the Round Table also brought forth the Knight of Betrayal, adding to the chaos.
Speaking of the Knights of the Round Table, most of them followed Salter, Altria, or Altria Alter, seeking orders or serving them as loyal subordinates.
Tamamo no Mae was always dedicated to fulfilling her duties as a wife, which often clashed with Nero. On the other hand, he ended up being the "center" of some memorable intimate bets between the two, who competed for his attention to see who was the better wife. Semiramis, on the other hand, was a bit more reclusive but always called him to her room to brush her hair or simply lie on her lap while they talked.
Quetzalcoatl and Kulkulkan were a case apart. After realizing the current level of his power, Quetzalcoatl became interested only in having a sort of "lucha libre" with him, whether in combat or more intimately in the bedroom. As for Kulkulkan, the last lover he had won in the final Lostbelt of his life, she demanded moments alone with him, taking every opportunity to be together.
Finally, there was also Morgan, who wanted to be by his side at every possible moment, as his one and only legitimate wife…
Fortunately, he managed to have only Mashu accompany him to this meeting. Convincing all the other Servants, who wanted to spend time with him and vie for attention amidst the constant growth of his harem, was quite a complicated task…
As Kazuya walked through the halls of the Grigori, lost in thoughts about recent events and future strategies, he felt a presence beside him gently touch his arm.
"Senpai… you're overthinking again…" said Mashu, in a firm but gentle tone. Her purple eyes, attentive, met his through the pink strands falling over her face.
He smiled faintly, turning his attention to her.
"Ah… you're right, Mash. I was getting lost in my own thoughts. Sorry about that, did you say something?"
She rolled her eyes subtly but couldn't help a small smile. "No, senpai. I just called your attention to say we've arrived…"
Kazuya looked to the end of the corridor, where there was a table in an outdoor courtyard, and Azazel was seated. Mashu recognized him due to all the information about this world that Kazuya had shared with her in recent days, as they caught up while visiting various places Mashu had always dreamed of while stuck in Chaldea…
Mashu and he took no more than a minute to reach where Azazel was.
Azazel, sitting in a relaxed manner, raised his gaze and gave a lazy smile, typical of someone who already knew the approaching figure well.
"Punctual as always, Human-kun…"
"Punctuality is my middle name… or not. Either way, I was bored and decided to come early…" Kazuya replied with a half-smile.
Azazel's gaze quickly shifted to the girl beside him, and an inevitable eyebrow arch followed.
"And this ojou-chan here?"
Kazuya didn't hesitate.
"Mashu Kyrielight. One of my wives. She's also part of Chaldea…"
A flush quickly rose to Mashu's face, and she looked down at the floor, murmuring something even he couldn't quite hear.
Azazel let out a short laugh, leaning forward.
"Hah! As incredible as ever! Every time I see you, you're accompanied by a new wife! You're truly the second coming of Solomon. I have no more doubts…"
Kazuya just kept the smile at the corner of his lips, as if it were no big deal, while pulling out a chair for Mashu to sit and sitting beside her.
Azazel leaned back in his chair, crossing his arms and letting a lazy smile escape.
"So… I heard you and your little friends have been messing with half the gods in this world…"
Kazuya shrugged, as if they were talking about the weather.
"It was more… a consequence of sightseeing tours."
"…'Sightseeing tours'…" Azazel repeated, chuckling through his nose. "I call it old-school diplomacy. What do you think, ojou-chan?"
At the end of his words, he looked at Mashu, curious.
She blinked, a bit surprised to be included in the conversation.
"Hm… well… Senpai did his best to control his Servants as their Master… But not all of them listen to him…" She adjusted her glasses, looking at Kazuya with an air of "this is serious?" "Senpai, destroying nearly the entire Greek pantheon isn't something small, so I think calling it a sightseeing tour is a bit offensive…"
Kazuya merely raised his eyebrows.
"Mash. If you think about it, no one's going to miss Zeus…"
Azazel burst out laughing, slamming his hand on the table.
"That's one I can get behind. That old pervert deserved it. But…" His gaze sharpened. "…you know these things have a ripple effect. Some factions will want to get closer, others will keep their distance. There are already rumors circulating that Brigade Khaos has their eye on you and is planning something regarding your relationship…"
"Rumors are always around…" Kazuya replied, pulling something from his pocket. "But since we're exchanging gossip… I brought something you'll like…"
He placed a USB drive on the table and slid it toward Azazel.
"Chaldea's research on a good portion of our technology, as you asked…"
Azazel's eyes lit up like a child receiving candy.
"Hoooh… you know how to please me, Human-kun…" He twirled the USB drive in his fingers before carefully pocketing it. "And in return…"
He pulled another USB drive from his coat's inner pocket and placed it in front of Kazuya.
"Recent discoveries about lost Sacred Gears, incomplete records of some unique models, and… some rumors about prototypes created by God before the Great War, but which He never finished. I always thought it was somewhat useless knowledge since they're just the old man's scribbles, but who knows, it might be useful to you… I encoded it for computer access to make it easier…"
Mashu looked at the small device with curiosity.
Kazuya observed it for a few seconds, then picked it up and pocketed it before saying, "Anyway… let's stop beating around the bush. Azazel, the official reason I'm here…"
"I have a proposal for you…"
