Gavin was telling her about his day and she could only stare at him dreamily, she could not even focus on what he was saying until he stopped and whispered, "Can I say something totally absurd?"
Leila only nodded in affirmation.
"Kiss me" Leila whispered the second time and that was all it took for Gavin to lean forward and take her mouth in his. The kiss was different, she could smell the mint and oud in his clothes, she moved closer so her fingers could brush his hair and he cupped her cheeks in his hand. This kiss was based on an approval from both of them in their normal state of mind, it was not influenced by anything or any kind of alcohol. It was strictly what they both wanted and Leila took her time exploring his mouth with her tongue, her lips and everything in her.
Gavin pulled back and asked softly, his lips slightly swollen, "Should I stop or should we continue?"
Leila flushed pink and replied in a raspy voice, "Don't stop, please"
Gavin smiled, "Truthfully, I have no intention to. Where is your bedroom?"
Leila pushed his chest playfully, "On one condition bad boy Gavin Hasters"
His laughter roared everywhere in the room. She had no choice but to smile, it was really cute and she realized it was the first time she was seeing him laugh like that. It was not forced, he looked genuinely happy.
"You will have to carry me there, I really do not want to stand up" She winked, "Trust me, I am reserving my strength for something else"
Gavin raised his eyebrows, "Then I guess we will have to carry the princess to the bedroom, we do not want to stress her"
Leila eyes twinkled with laughter. She had not been this happy in a while and it all felt magical and too good to be true. She did not want this night to end and she certainly did not want to step out from the bubble that she was in currently.
She stretched her hands to Gavin like a baby and he carried her to the bedroom, Leila felt safe. With Gavin, she was sure that no harm would come to her, he would be her Prince Charming and protect her from the bad people and even from Adele Cooper. Something in her mind was telling her not to read too much meaning into the whole situation because Gavin was obviously an engaged man but at that moment, she did not really care, she just wanted to live and bask in the glory of Gavin. He carried her to her room and dropped her at the edge of the bed, his hand slowly cupped her cheek as he leaned in to kiss her again, Leila felt breathless as he kept exploring her body with his hands, his manly and muscular hands, he did not stop kissing her for a moment. He finally stopped after a minute, he looked into her eyes with those cute eyes of his and asked, "Should we stop?"
She smiled, how could she say no to the cute human in front of her. She liked how he was asking her for permission, he probably wanted to make sure that she wanted this as much as he did. But one thing was certain, she wanted this man so much and it was surprising that he did not know. "Do not stop Gavin. Trust me, I want you".
And that was all that broke the ice. Gavin swiftly reached to the hem of her clothes and lifted it over her head, she took the hint and removed the remaining piece of clothing on her body. Gavin hitched a breath as he took in her body, he drank her beauty and his voice was filled with passion as he said, "Leila Baker, you are beautiful". He positioned himself between her legs and plunged into her urgency, she cried out and he cupped his hand over her mouth, "Shush darling, let's not wake the neighbors".
Leila could not think straight as he kept slipping in and out of her. She wanted this moment to last forever and when he finally pulled out. She rolled to her side and stared at him. This gorgeous man that she called her boss just slept with her. Her engaged boss that has a fiancée just slept with her. The crazy thing was that she enjoyed every moment of it. That was when it dawned on her, she was in love with Gavin Hasters and it was probably going to be the end of her but at this point, she didn't care anymore.
Gavin stared at her like she was the only thing that mattered and she melted inwardly, "I do not think I can survive tonight if I don't kiss you"
Leila smiled, "Then kiss me"
