Chapter 15 - 15

Aya's Point of View:

Ugh!!!

This pest is seriously annoying!! He's been following me around for a while now! So irritating! And the nerve of him to flirt with me right to my face! Kent Justin Valdez really has no shame. I can't even begin to comprehend it!!

"Bee, why does your face look like that?" he asked me while resting his head on the table, eyes looking up at me. He probably thinks he looks cute. Please. Have mercy. (−\_−)

"Don't call me that! I'm Aya, not Bee," I replied. Notice how I'm not yelling anymore, right? I've given up! For the past hour, I've been yelling at him. I can't take it anymore. My vocal cords might give up early because of this pest.

"You are Bee… 'cause I'm your honey…"

"WHAT IS YOUR PROBLEM, REALLY?" I shouted. Oh, good Lord!! What did I do in my past life to deserve this kind of punishment??

He just laughed, "Chill out, Aya babes. You'll get wrinkles before your time," he said.

I made the sign of the cross right in front of him.

"Hahaha! You're too much, making the sign of the cross like that, Bee. I'm not some mythical creature," he said and pouted.

Oh Lord, please make him stop pouting, I beg You!!

Eydee's Point of View:

"I'm going to talk to Kei. Wish me luck, Alys!" Sheen said to Alys while walking toward Kei.

Alys sulked in their school's garden. What exactly is she supposed to do? Sheen was planning to ask Kei today if he would want to get back together with her.

Sometimes it's really frustrating to be the best friend… especially when you have feelings for your best friend. Why? Because they have higher expectations from you—because you're their best friend. If you're just a regular friend, there are no expectations. But if you're the best friend? Then you're supposed to want what's best for them… even if you're the one who ends up hurt. Maybe best friends should also be called martyrs, because it's so hard to pretend you're happy when deep inside, you just want to cry.

And that's exactly how Alys feels as she watches Sheen walking toward Kei...

It hurts... Deeply.

–Sheen and Kei–

"Kei?" Sheen called out to her.

he planned to ask her to get back together.

It would be a waste, really—they were supposed to celebrate their anniversary next month, if only they hadn't broken up last month. They'd been together for so long, gone through so much. It would be a shame to throw it all away. And besides, he really loves Kei...

Kei turned around, talking to her friends, "What?" She answered sharply.

"Can we talk?"

"About what?" Kei replied, irritated, because Sheen kept asking to get back together. They were done. Over. She really liked Sheen, but would they have lasted almost a year if she didn't? The truth is, she was getting bored. Call him bad, but that's just how she is—she easily gets tired of things. Whether it's clothes, songs, gadgets, or even boyfriends, she gets bored easily. That's what happened with Sheen. No more, no less.

"About us," Sheen said, looking into his eyes.

Kei sighed, "Fine. Meet me at the pavilion," she said.

Sheen walked away happily, hoping that they would get back together. He really loved Kei and would do anything to make him happy.

"Sheen..." Kei said.

Sheen turned to Kei, "One more chance, Kei. I won't screw it up again. Please..."

Sheen thought the reason they broke up was because she prioritized SC... that he was the reason. But that wasn't the truth.

Kei held back from looking at Sheen. Kei was really a good person, but she was often mistaken for a bully because of the stereotype that if you were a member of the cheerleading team, you were automatically a brat, your attitude was bad. But that's not always the case. People at St. Claire's were just so annoying.

"Sheen, I know it may sound cliché but... it's not you, it's me."

Sheen tried to hold back his tears, "One more chance, Kei. I love you..."

Kei walked up to Sheen and held his face, "We're over, Sheen. You're a great guy, for sure you'll find someone else... but not me. I'm not the one for you."

Sheen held Kei's hand, "You're the only one I want, Kei."

Kei just smiled, "I want someone else... I'm sorry, Sheen. If you really love me, please move on. You deserve better."

"Do you really like Drake?"

Kei nodded.

Sheen then hugged Kei, "I love you, Kei... remember that. I'll do everything to make you happy."

Alys' Point of View:

"Hey," said girl 1.

Alys looked at the girls in front of her. They were the "like" girls.

"What?"

"There's someone looking for you," said girl 2.

She got curious, "Who?"

The girls just glared at Alys. Tch. Bimwhores (bimbo whores).

Alys just had enough of those girls. The way they spoke was just too much, but she kept her cool. As she read the note, the irritation started bubbling up again.

"Like, meet me inside the stock room. Like…" Alys murmured as she held the paper.

The nerve! She could feel her frustration growing. She wasn't going to let them get to her, though. Not when she still had some energy left after dealing with Sheen. She was already worn out from everything, and these girls were definitely not worth her time.

Alys' heart raced as the door slammed shut behind her. It was so dark in the stock room, her eyes struggling to adjust.

She cautiously took a few steps forward, the eerie silence making her feel even more uneasy.

"Hello?" she called out, but the only response was the echo of her voice bouncing off the walls. She tried to stay calm, but the tension was rising.

Her mind was racing with thoughts: Who could be here? What's going on? Everything about this felt wrong. She could still hear the faint sound of the door locking behind her.

Alys took another step, her senses on high alert, but her instincts told her something wasn't right.

*Lakad, lakad.*

The sound of her shoes echoed in the silence. Was she about to fall into another trap or was someone actually here waiting for her?

OMG!! The door is locked!!

<("0\_0")>

What to do????

Eydee's Point of View:

Drake looked at his watch — it was already 12:00 a.m. Just a little more waiting and he could finally leave. But why was he feeling so restless? Hmmm. It's because he was looking for Alys! Hahaha! You really thought Drake was such a heartless guy? He's not! He knows how to worry too, even just a little.

Because of what he heard earlier, he wandered around the venue to look for Alys — that weird girl, if you ask him. Since she wasn't at the venue, he went outside to look there instead, and eventually arrived at the pavilion where he saw Sheen and Kei.

Drake wasn't really a gossip, but it's not like he could force his ears to shut down so he wouldn't hear anything. Hahaha!

"..I love you, Kei. Remember that. I'll do everything to make you happy," Sheen said.

Drake just smirked. *Yeah right, everything.* Well, maybe they were in the same situation after all. What was he even doing for Katrina? Wasn't he doing all those things because he wanted Katrina to be happy too... even though it was so hard, he still endured it. *Tch.* So far from the real Drake. Katrina really had that kind of power over him.

"You'll make me happy?" Kei asked.

Sheen just nodded.

"Then can you ask Alys to stay away from Drake?"

Sheen couldn't answer. He didn't want to involve Alys anymore. It was all just so messy! Why did Drake Palma even have to show up in all their lives?! Everything was fine before!

Even though he didn't want to... he was forced to say yes. "Whatever happens, happens," he told himself.

Meanwhile, Drake was...

(-\_-)

BORED as usual.

He looked at the two people hugging and smirked. He had heard Sheen's promise to Kei that he would make Alys stay away from him. He hoped Alys would really stay away, because ever since he met her, he had lost what he called peace and solitude. *Hahaha!*

He wandered around until he reached the stock room and read a note:

– don't open the door. Like there's a monster inside. Thank you for reading. –

He immediately opened the door after reading the note.

It was dark inside the stock room, so he went in—and suddenly...

**\Blaaaaaaaaag\**

The stock room door slammed shut!! The door was broken; there was supposed to be a stopper to prevent it from closing. But since Drake didn't know that...
