"Mr. Jeffrey, I... I've done what you asked. Please, just let me go!" Octavian pleaded anxiously.
Jeffrey's gaze was cold and heavy.
The man before him was one of the main culprits who had framed Rachel all those years ago. "As long as you never speak of what you shouldn't, you can keep your life," he replied icily.
Octavian let out a shaky sigh of relief.
If he had a choice, he would never have returned home to confess; he had only done so because Jeffrey forced him.
Even while living abroad, there was no escaping someone like Jeffrey if he truly wanted to deal with you.
"What about my family...?" Octavian asked nervously.
"Since your family doesn't know what you've done, I won't touch them. But... " Jeffrey paused, making Octavian's heart ease for a split second, only for it to freeze again. "You will pay double for the suffering you caused Rachel back then."
