Chapter 359 - Chapter 359 Akatsuki Village

Konoha, the Hokage Building.

"Hokage-sama, this is quite a development."

Shouta's lips curled into a smirk as he glanced at the document before him.

"What is it?"

Tsunade had just begun to feel a little tired and set down her brush to face Shouta.

"A new ninja village has been founded in the Land of Rain."

"The Akatsuki Village."

Shouta tossed the document over. Tsunade caught it steadily.

"This news arrived rather late."

Tsunade allowed herself the faintest of smiles—a subtle hint of displeasure at the tardy intelligence.

On the night the Land of Rain was unified, Yahiko and his two companions had already conducted a long-distance conversation with Lord Kawaki and his entire family through Elder Katsuyu.

She knew Yahiko and the others wanted to establish a new ninja village, but she hadn't expected them to move so quickly.

It had only been a week since then.

"Haha~"

"Well, I guess you're right. It wasn't any of my business anyway."

It took Shouta a moment to realize—how could Tsunade not know this?

"They've moved quickly. If they need any supplies, get them there discreetly."

Tsunade understood the Land of Rain had suffered years of war; now, Yahiko and his team must have needed many resources to rebuild.

"No problem. Leave it to me."

Shouta immediately agreed enthusiastically because he knew Yahiko and his friends would never betray Konoha.

Leaving personal feelings aside, this was simply a project worth investing in.

"I think I'll step out for a walk."

Tsunade stood up, twisted her neck, and headed toward the door.

"Please take your time."

Shouta roughly guessed where Tsunade was going and didn't say much else.

Trying to act like she wasn't happy at all—it didn't make sense. He simply couldn't understand how women thought.

No wonder he was still single.

Thinking of this, Shouta sighed and shook his head before returning to his work.

After leaving the Hokage Building, Tsunade had a clear destination—heading straight for the Ninja Academy.

All the way, she wore a smile, walking briskly and lightly.

She'd long lost count of how many passersby she greeted before finally arriving at the entrance of the Ninja Academy.

The guard spotted Tsunade and immediately stepped forward to open the gate.

"Hokage-sama, what brings you here today?"

His booming voice ensured that everyone within earshot knew the Hokage had arrived.

The teachers became even more diligent in their instruction, while the students suddenly lost any trace of drowsiness.

"Why are you shouting like that? Is the principal available?"

Tsunade rolled her eyes. She wasn't here for inspection duties again.

Did he really have to announce it so dramatically?

"He's in. Lord Kawaki hasn't left school grounds."

The guard answered confidently. As an ordinary person, he naturally wouldn't know whether Kawaki needed to use the main gate when he wanted to go somewhere.

"Alright, you carry on with your work."

Tsunade clearly didn't trust him. Her question had been rhetorical anyway.

That restless Kawaki—if he wasn't at school, she'd completely understand.

"Got it."

The guard closed the gate and returned to his small booth.

Tsunade took her time, strolling leisurely toward the principal's office.

Along the way, she even exchanged greetings with Kakashi—his class was in a practical combat lesson.

Three-person groups clashed fiercely.

Kakashi, Kurenai, and Rin faced off against Gai, Asuma, and Obito.

During the fight, Kakashi still had the presence of mind to glance at Auntie, signaling that their side clearly had the upper hand.

Standing there for a moment, Tsunade shook her head in disappointment.

These people had absolutely no coordination—like three individual fights.

"What the hell are you doing?"

"Did I tell you to fight one-on-one?"

"You're a team. You need to work together."

"Understood? Teamwork!!!"

After watching Tsunade shake her head and walk away, Instructor Suzuki exploded into a furious shout, nearly spraying them with spit.

He'd set up these three-versus-three matches specifically to develop squad coordination.

But out of these six, except for Obito and Rin, everyone else's individual style was far too strong.

They didn't show even the slightest hint of cooperation.

"Got it."

Kakashi and the other five answered in unison, showing slight improvement.

Meanwhile, Tsunade had already arrived at the principal's office door.

Without knocking, she pushed straight in.

"Why are you here?"

Kawaki stood up from his chair, feigning surprise.

In reality, he'd seen Tsunade coming earlier—he had been watching Kakashi's sparring session from the window.

"Just checking up on our big shot."

Tsunade mercilessly teased Kawaki.

She'd been working herself ragged while he stayed relaxed and carefree.

"Beloved wife, you've worked hard."

Kawaki slung an arm over Tsunade's shoulder and guided her to sit down in the executive chair.

Then he started kneading her shoulders and neck.

"Right there. A little harder."

Tsunade closed her eyes briefly, enjoying the comfort.

But not long after, Kawaki began misbehaving.

"Where do you think you're touching? This is a school."

Tsunade smacked Kawaki's wandering hands away and glared at him.

This shameless pervert!!

"Well, it's just become a habit!!"

Kawaki smiled awkwardly in apology—it really had become instinctive.

Unconsciously, he always wanted to grope something.

"Alright, that's enough. Don't need your massage anymore."

"I have some good news. Want to hear it?"

Tsunade turned the chair around to face Kawaki directly.

"What? You're pregnant?"

Kawaki's eyes lit up—he might be a father again?

"Don't be silly. We agreed not to have kids for now."

Tsunade rolled her eyes. One Ginji was already trouble enough; another child would drive her crazy.

"Then what is it?"

The spark dimmed in Kawaki's eyes. He secretly hoped for a daughter.

Old-fashioned thinking maybe, but having both sons and daughters made the family feel complete.

"Yahiko's group has already founded a new ninja village."

"Your disciple also became a Kage."

Tsunade got straight to the point. As soon as she spoke, she stared intently at Kawaki without blinking.

"No wonder he's my disciple, hahaha~"

Kawaki crossed his arms behind his back, tilted his head up, and laughed with exaggerated flair.

His face screamed "I'm so proud of myself," nothing like Tsunade's calm demeanor when receiving the same information.

"Yep, all thanks to you."

Seeing his arrogant look, Tsunade immediately turned sarcastic.

Kawaki—you returned them to Konoha, sure, but how many major contributions have you really made since then?

Mostly you've just been a lazybones, not even close to how involved I've been in training them.

"I don't deserve the credit for this."

"You definitely had a hand in this too."

Kawaki knew better than to push his luck and quickly toned down his smug look.

"That's not wrong to say."

Tsunade tried to hide her pride behind a stubborn front but still took the compliment willingly.

Putting everything else aside, Nagato turned out so well—how could that not be thanks to her guidance?

"Of course, my wife is the best."

Kawaki grinned and shamelessly flattered her, throwing all dignity to the wind.

"Since you're being so agreeable, I'll give you a reward tonight."

Tsunade reached out and lightly lifted Kawaki's chin with her index finger, flashing him a charming smile.

"I want big wings, and I want some cool tattoos."

Kawaki rubbed his hands together in gleeful anticipation, looking like a lovesick fool.

"You sure have a lot of requests."

Tsunade rolled her eyes in annoyance. 'Greedy' wasn't even strong enough to describe Kawaki's behavior.

"Hehe~"

Kawaki merely gave a goofy chuckle, saying nothing.

"I don't feel like dealing with you anymore; I need to go back to work."

After all, she still hadn't finished all the paperwork, so Tsunade couldn't stay for long.

She stood up and started to leave.

"Let me walk you out."

Kawaki followed closely behind Tsunade—he genuinely had nothing better to do.

"You stay here; I can walk alone."

Tsunade tidied up her clothes and walked out the door without looking back.

"Don't forget about my reward."

Still watching her departing figure, Kawaki reminded her loudly.

Thankfully, there was no one in the hallway—otherwise, Tsunade would've turned bright red with embarrassment.

Even if no one else got it, she was still a little embarrassed herself.

"No reward for you anymore."

Tsunade glared viciously at Kawaki before quickly walking away.

"Once something's said, it's out of your hands now."

Muttering casually under his breath, Kawaki went back to his seat, feeling unusually relaxed and content.
