As the tension escalated, Amanda took the courage to confront Victoria.
"Why are you doing this to me Victoria? What have I ever done to you?"
Amanda asked, her voice shaking with emotions. Victoria sneered, her eyes flashing with anger.
"You think you are so perfect Amanda! But you are not, you are just like everyone else. Fake and selfish!"
Amanda felt a deep pain her heart. She saw anger and resentment in Victoria`s eyes and knew that friendship was beyond repair. Victoria`s cold stare came back as she opened her cellphone to show her a traumatic video.
The video had revealed that Amanda had been involved in a tragic accident during her childhood years, one that resulted in the loss of her twin sister. The accident left Amanda with deep emotional scars, and she had struggled to cope with grief and guilt.
"How did you obtain that video? Only me and my family knew about it! Not even my friends know!"
Amanda complained in a worry.
"Do not be ridiculous! "
Victoria smuggled.
"Only my parents, Emma, me ..and Nelly. Wait You can`t be Nelly!"
Amanda said in a low tone as Victoria`s anger grew.
It turned out that Amanda had unintentionally hurt Victoria years ago. Victoria had been in foster care with Amanda`s family, and Amanda had befriended her.
However, when Victoria became too attached, Amanda`s family had decided not to adopt her. Victoria had felt abandoned and rejected when Amanda`s family had left her due to circumstances. This rejection had left a deep wound and Victoria`s actions against Amanda were a twisted attempt at revenge.
