Selina stepped inside the office when the automatic door slid open. She trailed behind Annabelle, looking stupefied.
"Has President Leah signed it?" Callum's professional voice cut through Selina's haze.
Her shoulder quivered, jerking her gaze straight in his direction.
"What?!" She blurted, missing his words for a fracture.
Callum's expression hardened, noticing that unfamiliar look.
Her puzzled eyes darted across everyone who stared back at her. It was at this moment that she knew.
A cracked, forced smile graced her lips to shield her worries as she answered.
"Oh…she had a guest, and I couldn't get a chance to talk about it. Well, she requested me to drop it on her desk, and she'd review it later," she shoved her empty hand into the air, indicating a successful task.
Callum gave her a piercing look before he moved to the center of attention, clapping his hand to catch their attention.
