Chapter 241 - Chapter 241: The Magic Warfare Squad

Charles had no intention of convincing the Edolas Fairy Tail with words—actions spoke louder. And the perfect opportunity soon arrived.

"Bad news! The Fairy Hunter is approaching!"

Edolas Lucy quickly collected herself and turned around. "Levy, prepare the teleportation spell. We need to relocate!"

As Edolas Levy busied herself at the control console, Charles spoke up, "Hold on. We actually want to see this so-called royal magic warfare squad in action. So we'll stay here! But—if you still have the courage to resist, and if you're willing to trust us, fellow members of Fairy Tail—then stay and watch how we defeat Fairy Tail's enemy."

With that, Charles led the entire Earthland group outside.

Edolas Mirajane approached Lucy. "Lucy, are we really running?"

Edolas Lucy looked around the guild at every face. On each one, she saw something she hadn't seen in a long time—hope. Charles's words had struck a chord.

"Levy, cancel it. I want to believe… just one more time. Believe in Fairy Tail's power."

Levy stepped back from the console. "This is your call, don't blame me if it goes wrong."

Despite the snark, her intentions were the same as Lucy's and the others'.

Their banter was much like Natsu and Gray's—a way of masking concern through bickering.

Outside, the group saw a flock of massive beasts approaching from the sky, with silhouettes of riders visible on their backs.

Natsu cracked his flaming knuckles. "So that's the unit that's been chasing this world's Fairy Tail? I'll punch 'em all to the moon!"

Charles smacked him on the head. "Don't underestimate them. They may use magic through tools, but their strength is real. Don't forget—Mystogan is an S-Class mage in our world."

Technically, Edolas humans don't possess innate magic. So logically, even with tools, they shouldn't match real mages.

After all, mages' bodies are supercharged by magic—granting extreme strength, speed, and reflexes.

But in the original storyline, the fight between the two Erzas ended in a draw.

Charles could only attribute that to the uniqueness of Edolas magic tools—which are referred to simply as "magic" in this world.

After examining Mystogan's staff, Charles confirmed that Edolas magic tools differ significantly from Earthland's.

The biggest difference? Edolas magic tools are powered by embedded lacrima crystals, so even those without magic can wield them.

Most importantly, high-grade combat tools contain massive reserves of magic power—essentially acting as external magic sources, providing users with magic-based enhancements.

That's why compatibility between the tool's attribute and the user is crucial for maximum performance.

Also, a person can rarely wield multiple tools at once—different magical attributes clashing in the body can be dangerous.

As a result, those equipped with high-grade Edolas magic tools can rival mages in combat.

And those were exactly the kinds of people riding the beasts.

Soon, the group could clearly see the figures atop the flying creatures.

"Is that—?!"

"Erza!"

Indeed, the lead rider was none other than Edolas Erza, commander of the Second Royal Magic Warfare Division—Erza Knightwalker, also known as the "Fairy Hunter."

Knightwalker sat on her beast, grinning. "Oh? The little fairies didn't run this time?"

From another beast, a man in full armor added, "Strange, they should still have a few transfers left. Not that it matters—this saves us the trouble of chasing them down."

He was Sugarboy, commander of the Fourth Magic Warfare Division, and like Knightwalker, he hunted Fairy Tail.

The two didn't bring their full units—because, frankly, they didn't need them. Knightwalker alone was enough to handle Fairy Tail.

Hence her title: Fairy Hunter Erza.

The two confidently approached—until a shadow suddenly appeared in front of them.

"Fire Dragon's Iron Fist!"

Natsu, carried aloft by Happy, slammed a flaming punch directly into Sugarboy, sending him crashing off his beast before he could even react.

Knightwalker narrowed her eyes—only to find another shadow now in front of her.

And this one looked exactly like her.

Same face, same scarlet-red hair, only clad in a different, peculiar armor.

"So you're this world's Erza?" said Earthland Erza. "Hard to imagine someone like you being an enemy of the guild."

Knightwalker noticed the Fairy Tail symbol through the gap in her counterpart's armor. "A fairy, huh? Then you're just another target."

She hefted her magic weapon: the Ten Commandments Spear, a high-grade magic tool capable of ten different transformations.

Erza responded by firing blades from her Heaven's Wheel Armor, blasting Knightwalker back.

Her beast moved to defend her—but was suddenly blocked by an even larger figure.

Fahr, in his full-size form, loomed before them—30% larger than the flying beasts. Even his roar sent gusts of wind rippling through the sky.

The two beasts recoiled in terror like frightened kittens.

Standing on Fahr's head, Charles declared, "You two aren't going anywhere. Stay put."

Below, the fallen Sugarboy slashed the ground with his sword-like tool.

His "Rose Sword" could turn inanimate objects pliable—softening the earth to cushion his fall completely.

He stood, bracing his sword, and eyed the descending Natsu. "Fireball Natsu from Fairy Tail… you're nothing like before."

Flames surged around Natsu as he shouted, "Don't call me Fireball! I'm a Dragon Slayer!"

He dove again, fists blazing, toward the stunned Sugarboy.

As a member of Edolas high command, Sugarboy knew what a Dragon Slayer was—and couldn't believe one was standing before him.

Elsewhere, Knightwalker studied Erza carefully.

"Your armor changed… I've never seen magic like that. And your appearance—it's not a disguise, is it?"

Now wearing her Black Wing Armor, Erza was likewise impressed by her counterpart's intuition.

As expected of another version of herself.

Knightwalker said, "So you're from Aslan. Then your name is…?"

"Erza Scarlet," she replied.

Knightwalker raised her spear. "I'm Erza Knightwalker. Let's settle this—Scarlet!"

"Bring it on, Knightwalker!"

The Ten Commandments Spear clashed with the Black Wing Sword. But the real battle wasn't in their weapons—it was in their overwhelming wills colliding.
