Chapter 4 - The first obstacle [3]

Chapter 4 The first obstacle [3]

At the temporary camp of the Allied Nation outpost command.

"Sir our frontlines have fallen!"

"Bad news!"

"What's the bad news?" One of the allied major generals asked.

"The Empire's forces will be here in a minute!" The scouts informed.

"Abandon the camp!"

"Lets go back to the capital and prepare the last line of defense!" One of the allied major generals commanded.

At the failed siege of the capital, lied the remaining 90,000 men of the Empire's forces isolated.

"Major General Niko, when will we get rescued?" One of the major generals asked nervously.

"It's been a week since we were isolated"

Major General Niko was a man with black hair and brown eyes shrouded in a military uniform.

His face and stature looked couraging despite the situation they were in.

"We're doomed, don't you think?"

"I don't think the Empire's gonna send us help"

"Wouldn't it just be better if we surrendered now?"

"The situation is hopeless"

"I agree with you, how and when is the Empire gonna rescue us?"

Murmurs of the Empire's soldiers could be heard.

"Quiet!" One of the major generals shouted.

"Enemy attack!" The Empire's soldier shouted.

"Wait look!"

"The allied soldiers are retreating!" One of the Empire's soldier shouted.

There they could see fast moving dots at the distance.

As more allied soldiers retreated, they could see the glimpse of the Empire's forces.

"Wohooo!"

"We're finally rescued!"

"That's what you get allies scum!"

"Bastards thinking they were tough…"

Cheers erupted from the soldiers.

An hour later, one of the military suvs stopped in front of Major General Niko.

"My friend Niko! How were you here?" One of the people stepped out of the suv, asking.

"It was a hellish experience, I tell you Mathieu…"

"I thought help would never come"

"My soldiers and the other generals were worried and to think they suggested me to surrender"

"Those motherfuckers!" Mathieu angrily replied.

"Oh don't worry about that Niko, you know what they said makes sense"

"But we were lucky to rescue you"

"It's all thanks to his majesty the Emperor who proposed a new strategy to us"

"That's how we rescued you" Mathieu commented.

"What is the new strategy proposed to his majesty the Emperor about Mathieu?" Niko asked.

"It's named Blitzkrieg by his majesty the Emperor, pretty unusual name right?"

"But it sounds right" Mathieu explained.

"You can get more details at the main command outpost" Mathieu informed.

"Blitzkrieg huh? Anyways the capital is all that's left at the Zhentaris Republic"

"But my men still needs a rest, when should we begin preparations to siege Capital Zentaris?" Niko asked.

"3 days from now on" Mathieu replied.

At the Empires Emperor building garden.

I was strolling around the garden when I saw Sebastian running towards me, I met him up and spoke.

"Sebastian why are you running?" I thought, this must be good news.

Since I was sure the strategy I had laid for the first obstacle was my countless experience from playing that game.

"Good news Emperor!" Sebastian informed me.

"I knew it!" I thought, smiling happily back to Sebastian.

Trying to maintain demeanor and holding back my emotions, I spoke "What's the good news?"

Sebastian coulnd't hold back anymore to me and replied "Emperor, the strategy you have proposed to us is genius!"

"Thanks to you, our isolated forces have been rescued!"

"And our army is about to siege the Capital Zentaris in 3 days"

"It is expected that it will be not a smooth sailing experience when we begin the siege of the Capital Zentaris"

"But the generals at the main command outpost humbly request your presence"

"I assume they're gonna ask you for ideas"

"Take me there Sebastian" I commanded him.

"It's a huge success!" I thought, now I believed that the strategy I used from the game would work here too.

I was whistling around the garden while following Sebastian.

The plan for the Capital Zentaris didn't need to change and it was much easier since we had the upperhand now.

I didn't need to change plans, I was gonna reuse the same ingredients for the Capital of Zentaris and that was Blitzkrieg.

Blitzkrieg would still work as it was not a huge front line where I had to stretch my army up.

Following Sebastian, we finally got into the military suv.

"Please get inside first Emperor" Sebastian spoke to me.

I got in first and Sebastian followed suit next to me, Sebastian was in the driver seat while I was in the passenger seat.

Then suddenly I was reminded of something I had forgotten , it was to hire heroes as early as possible.

In the game [Nations Rise] characters were rated upon 1-5 stars and based on those ratings would mean how useful they were.

The lower the ratings the more trash they were.

But heroes were an exception there.

It meant their combat and support abilities and the higher they would be, the higher the chance of turning the tide of a battle.

The game [Nations Rise] had magic but it solely existed to what people of this world call "Heroes".

They were special human beings who could absorb mana from the atmosphere.

And had magical abilities upon absorbing the mana in the atmosphere.

They were categorized into two main classes known as "Combat Class" and "Support Class".

In these two main classes, they were also both categorized into two more branches.

For the "Combat Class" the categorized branches of them were "Melee" and "Ranged".

While in the support class were the "Buffs" and "Debuffs".

They both served different purpose.

[Nations Rise] Heroes were unique compared to other rated characters.

For heroes that were in combat class.

The melee hero classes were used to fighting close with their specialized infused mana weapons.

While the ranged heroes would fight in a distance using specialized mana guns.

In the support class.

The support buffs class meant they would help their allies using spells such as healing, moral boost and increased power.

While in the support debuffs class would use spells that help slow down the enemy, such as curses, fatigue, poison, temporary blindness.

And decreasing their overall abilities.

In the early part of [Nations Rise] Heroes at the beginning weren't widely used but appeared in the mid and late game.

But the universal rule of the game was to get the Heroes as early as you could.

So that at the beginning you would have the advantage to easily win without having to worry about defeat.

Now I had to find a hero as early as possible before the siege of Capital Zentaris began.

And that was because I had to minimize losses.
