Chapter 51 - CH 51: Gyuki

Gyuki could intentionally separate a part of his tail and create an almost perfect clone of himself.

These clones would not be damaged or disappear just from ordinary attacks, but would only return to their original appearance – a clump of chakra or a tail tentacle – after the death of the main body, or if Gyuki himself recalled them.

Moreover, what intrigued Hana most was the fact that even eyes as powerful as the Rinnegan were rumored to be unable to see or differentiate this special transformation technique. It could be said that except for the absolute amount of chakra possessed, this tail clone was almost no different from Gyuki's own original body, capable of thinking and acting independently.

Another equally important fact was that Gyuki's severed or separated tail could apparently grow and return to its original state. Of course, the regeneration period would be very long, possibly months or even years, depending on how much chakra he used.

Thus, Gyuki could theoretically only use this special clone technique eight times in a relatively short period, because he indeed only had eight tails.

This detached tail also had another vital function, which was to remain within the Jinchuriki's body as a temporary substitute for the core Bijuu chakra that might have been extracted. The existence of this remaining tail was what could ensure that the Jinchuriki would not die immediately after the Bijuu within their body was extracted by the enemy. A very valuable life insurance policy.

In the original work that Hana remembered from her previous life, there were at least three Jinchuriki known not to have died immediately after the tailed beast within their bodies was extracted: Sabaku no Gaara, Killer Bee, and Uzumaki Naruto himself.

Gaara was indeed declared dead at one point, but was later successfully revived by Chiyo Baasama's forbidden technique. Killer Bee managed to survive by relying on one of the tail tentacles intentionally left by Gyuki inside his body when Akatsuki tried to capture him.

And Naruto, he was lucky because there was still another half of Kurama that was previously sealed within his father's body, Edo Tensei Minato, which was then immediately transferred back to Naruto's body once the tailed beast within him was extracted by Madara.

Theoretically, the only Jinchuriki who truly managed to survive the Bijuu extraction process without third-party help or extraordinary coincidence was Killer Bee, and that was all thanks to the unique and extraordinary innate ninjutsu of the Eight-Tails.

'I must, must, learn this technique,'

Hana's determination grew stronger.

'I want to be able to get out of Naruto's body, give him the freedom he deserves, and also so I can fight with my full strength by his side without having to constantly worry about his safety. But I also have to ensure that my prince won't die or suffer because of my departure. Gyuki's technique is the only answer.'

Can't learn it? That's impossible.

'We are all tailed beasts, the same chakra clumps from the Juubi. The reason why those other Bijuu can't or won't learn each other's techniques is just because they are too arrogant, too individualistic, or perhaps never thought of doing so,' Hana thought with a slight amusement. 'If they all really wanted to and tried to learn them, most basic ninjutsu between tailed beasts should be learnable from each other, except perhaps special Kekkei Genkai like that Tanuki Shukaku's Magnet Release, which indeed requires Shukaku's unique type of Chakra.'

The Land of Lightning, Kumogakure, was located on a peninsula in the upper right corner of the vast Ninja World map. Its topography was dominated by high and steep stone mountains, towering defiantly towards the sky, and surrounded by vast seas on three sides.

There was only one main land route connecting it to the Ninja World continent. However, for ninjas with the ability to walk on water or even fight in the ocean, attacking from the sea was not a difficult thing to do, although Kumogakure's defenses were also famously very strong.

About seven days after she began her full-scale operation leaving Jiraiya's team (in Naruto's Kage Bunshin form), Hana finally arrived in the windy land of the Land of Lightning. And immediately after she set foot into the border territory of the Land of Lightning, she could instantly feel Gyuki's very strong and distinctive chakra presence.

Killer Bee indeed deserved the title of a perfect Jinchuriki.

Gyuki's chakra within him was not suppressed or restrained at all, but flowed freely and resonated harmoniously with Bee's own chakra. If only the seal on Naruto's body didn't hinder her, Hana might even have been able to contact or sense Gyuki's presence directly from the Land of Fire, without needing to bother coming this far.

Unfortunately, the intricate Shiki Fujin seal was now only about forty percent open, limiting her sensory range and power.

Of course, Hana's focus now was not on her own condition, but on that eight-tentacled cow ghost.

In a secluded training ground located on one of the high and rugged mountains somewhere in the Land of Lightning, Killer Bee, the eccentric Eight-Tails Jinchuriki, was training very seriously. He wielded eight swords simultaneously with his characteristic acrobatic style, and continuously launched a barrage of attacks towards a dark-skinned man with pale blond hair standing in front of him.

That man, Omoi, one of Bee's trusted students, also held a long sword and tried hard to parry or avoid Bee's unpredictable attacks. The fight between them didn't look too exciting or dangerous, and it could be ascertained that it was merely a sword sparring session or a regular training match to maintain their physical condition.

"Yo, yo, Omoi! You're too slow! Your movements are stiff like a corpse! Try to be more agile, bakka yaro, kono yaro!" Bee exclaimed while continuing to attack, occasionally throwing out his signature rap rhymes.

"Haaah... Bee-sama, can we rest for a bit? I'm already exhausted..."

Omoi complained, panting, sweat drenching his entire body. He was always pessimistic and easily worried.

"Besides, what if an enemy suddenly attacks while we're tired like this? Or what if my sword breaks? Or what if..."

But at that moment, amidst Bee's rap attacks and Omoi's complaints, Killer Bee's body suddenly stopped abruptly.

His movements froze in place, as if something had startled him.

When Omoi, standing opposite him, saw Killer Bee suddenly stop moving, the hand that was swinging his sword to parry also stopped instantly.

"Bee-sama? What's wrong? Are you alright?" he asked with a worried tone, afraid that his teacher had suddenly had a heart attack or something similar.

"Well, well, this is great, yeah!"

Killer Bee said something in a strange tone and unusual rhythm, then without paying any attention to the confused expression on Omoi's face, he turned around and quickly entered his own subconscious.

There, he saw Gyuki, the Eight-Tailed Bijuu in the form of a giant bull with eight octopus tentacles, already standing tall behind him, looking at him with a serious gaze.

Before Killer Bee could open his mouth to ask or perhaps throw out an opening rap rhyme, Gyuki had already spoken first with his heavy and thundering voice,

"Bee, the Nine-Tails from Konoha... he has arrived and is now in the territory of the Land of Lightning."

Killer Bee was silent for a moment, a fleeting, unconcealable shock reflected in his eyes behind his cool sunglasses.

"Nine-Tails is here, yo! Is war coming near? Konoha's attacking, oh no!"

"STOP TALKING NONSENSE WHILE RAPPING LIKE THAT, YOU IDIOT!"

Gyuki shouted helplessly, one of his tentacles almost hitting Bee's head out of sheer annoyance.

"I don't sense any killing intent or hostility from that person at all. The Nine-Tails is most likely not here to fight or look for trouble."

Judging from the fact that Kurama (or whoever his Jinchuriki was now) made no attempt at all to hide his presence or chakra trail when entering the Land of Lightning, Gyuki felt that person was most likely deliberately looking for him.

Thinking about this, Gyuki looked intently at Killer Bee and said in a serious tone,

"I want to speak directly with that person, Bee. You go now and inform Raikage-sama about this Nine-Tails' arrival. Ask him not to take any rash actions before I finish talking."

"Yeah! Okay, okay, Brotha Gyuki! I understand!"

Killer Bee nodded enthusiastically, pumping his fist in the air.

"I'll talk to Big Brother A right away, and you talk to that Nine-Tailed Fox, yeah! Everything's gonna be alright, yo! Iyyay!"

Gyuki felt an excruciating headache hearing Bee's completely nonsensical spontaneous rap.

"Anyway, just hurry up and go before I change my mind and beat you up!"

After saying that, Gyuki immediately used one of his tentacles to roughly 'throw' Killer Bee's consciousness out of his subconscious.

Finally, the atmosphere returned to calm and peace.

Gyuki sighed softly, his large eyes seeming to look into the distance through the sealed space within Bee.

"Kurama... your current state... feels a little strange. Your chakra is only half remaining, and... why does it feel like there's a slight change in your essence? Have you... successfully gained full control over your Jinchuriki? Or could it be... something even more unexpected has happened to you, my brother?"

On the other side, in the wilderness of the Land of Lightning, Hana, who was moving nimbly through the dense bushes, suddenly stopped walking. A cute and slightly surprised expression appeared on her charming face.

The chakra she was faintly emitting now slowly floated up and merged with Gyuki's chakra breath, which continued to spread and resonate throughout the Land of Lightning.

In the blink of an eye, deep within the formless inner world dimension of the tailed beasts, Kurama's large and majestic astral body – the true form of the Nine-Tailed Bijuu – stood proudly there.

And as Gyuki's chakra merged and responded to the call, Gyuki's equally large and intimidating astral body also gradually appeared before Kurama.

Gyuki looked intently at Kurama, then a rare faint smile appeared on his fierce bull face.

"Kurama, old friend! It's been hundreds of years since we last met directly like this, huh? But... why does it feel like there's only so little of your remaining chakra that I sense? Did something bad happen to you?"
