Whatever type of energy the Limitless Concept had channelled into the Bloodline Avatar, it corresponded to three of the four elements that comprised both his bloodline and his Bloodline Avatar.
One element was missing—Darkness.
If this missing element, or the resulting imbalance, was responsible for the Bloodline Avatar's instability, then it was clear what he needed to do.
