CH221 Wildkin Terror Plot

The Main Force of Exercitus Alexii had just finished setting up camp for the night when a scout arrived, breathless, with word from the Vanguard Squadron.
The Vanguard had successfully cleared most of the Wildkin splinters in Konradin Barony, within Kellerman Earldom. After days of coordinated skirmishes, the different companies within the Vanguard had reached the same conclusion; the Wildkin in Konradin were operating directly out of the Barony capital—Cowle City.
It had been simple enough for Alex to order the Vanguard to make preliminary preparations to storm the city and retake Baron Konradin's castle within it.
But before the operation could even begin, more reports arrived—reports that forced the Vanguard to a halt.
The Wildkin had dragged their hostages onto Cowle City's walls, binding them where every Fury soldier could see. Then came their message:
Back away, or we will kill them all.
