Spoilers Alert? For the readers that really like to theorize...
Matteo fell into a portal for what felt like years. He landed in an invisible platform. He now stood in a dark void with tiny lights around him. A mystical aura of energy surrounded his hands. He was not alone. He squinted at the tiny lights.
There were others with him, and their auras connected with a line of energy. They found themselves in a massive battlefield.
Soon, Matteo flew over a large, advanced city with people and monsters, alike, wearing weird disguises. He was also bigger than most of them.
"We are one," a voice declared in his mind, and an odd creature latched on his arm.
Matteo panicked and swatted him away. He frowned and heard something flutter. He peered behind him. In an instant, he landed on the grasslands outside the city, pressuring him to face forward.
An otherworldly vehicle landed.
Three odd creatures stepped out.
One of them smirked and proclaimed, "We are the surveyors of the glorious planet eater. This world is its next target."
In pitch black darkness, a baby's cry could be heard.
Matteo, startled, jumped.
A supernatural being hovered around him. Her yellow eyes glimmered, and her cloak fluttered. Her purple hair flowed out.
More cloaked figures came out of the shadows. They, at first glance and including the supernatural being, were kids. At a second take, they were adults.
Matteo raised an eyebrow and blinked. "How did they grow up so fast," he questioned.
The supernatural being giggled and faded away alongside the others.
An image of Henry and Adelia flashed in his mind. Their bodies were transparent.
After that, Matteo stood in a barren battlefield. An army of monsters and humans faced two towering creatures.
A giant creature reflected all of their attacks back at them.
A small monster sided with Matteo and prepared to fight.
In the far distance, a giant head loomed over the horizon and the world.
In the next scene, a giant monster with an eye symbol on it appeared.
A black metallic cloaked figure grinned behind it, and a mechanical eye hovered around.
In a flash, a creature dove from beyond the sky and took Matteo by force with a big, materialized hand.
Matteo entered whatever was beyond the sky.
Other nefarious forces attacked them.
Later, a pale humanoid monster with large canines examined him in a castle. His human teeth were exposed, and his red eyes stared straight at him. With a horrifying smile, he laughed.
A cloaked man covered in stitches and a cloaked woman with scarlet hair and eyes looked at Matteo in contempt.
Another cloaked figure danced around and drank alcohol.
Matteo groaned. "Who are these people," he demanded to know. He finally managed to open his mouth under the sheer information overloading him.
The advanced city was destroyed and rebuilt multiple times.
Back to the pitch-black void, multiple beings flashed, in and out, front of Matteo. It stopped on a certain individual.
Everything was quiet.
The individual, a tall and muscular cloaked figure, was familiar. He wore a suit of armor, and he had wings, now. His long hair flowed down his back. His pointy ears stood out. It was The Exalted One.
Matteo, frightened, questioned, "The Exalted One! Is this your doing? You evildoer! Get me out of here," he implored and panted. Feeling better, he stood defiantly and demanded to know, "What's happening?" As he looked around, he noticed The Exalted One approaching. His heart raced.
The Exalted One repeated, "They are coming. You must destroy them." Other cloaked figures loomed behind him.
"What do you mean? Who's they," Matteo interrogated.
The Exalted One smirked and proclaimed, "Your family. We can become the sole supreme god, together."
Matteo frowned with worry. He slowly backed away and narrowed his eyes. "No. This is a dream. You're not real," he concluded.
The Exalted One's eyebrows rose. He chuckled with a smirk and nodded. "You finally realized. None of this is real, but what can we do about it," he queried expectantly.
Matteo tightened his lips and shook his head, trying to wake himself up.
"Well, I suppose you wouldn't recognize me, brother. It's been a while," an unknown masculine voice greeted in his mind.
A familiar but deeper voice harshly alleged, "Things have changed after his death, and we're no longer brothers."
"So, you finally reached me," a feminine voice remarked.
Matteo clutched his head. "Huh," he muttered and inquired, "What was that?"
A short while later, a terrifying growl rumbled behind him and claimed, "You failed to save everyone from me."
Black flames rapidly consumed Matteo.
"No," Matteo shouted as it engulfed everything else, even the void and the cloaked figures. He could not stop it or do anything. Just like his home and parents, all he could do was watch...
The black flames spread out and left nothing in its path.
