The next morning, the kitchen of St. Marla's was a whirlwind of focused energy. Eamond's certainty from the night before had infected everyone. He stood at the head of the worn table, a stack of strange, picture-filled books—his 'manga'—pushed to the side, one volume open to a detailed drawing of an incredible cake that looked like a castle.
"Alright everyone, listen up," Eamond began, his voice clear and confident. "We're not just making a dessert. We're building a spectacle. We're building… a Roll Cake Castle."
He pointed to the open book. The picture showed a magnificent cake shaped like a fairytale castle, with towers made of rolled cake and banners of delicate frosting.
Syd's eyes were wide. "A castle? Made of cake? Boss, that's genius!"
"It's ambitious," Mira said, her arms crossed. But her eyes were shining with the challenge. "How do we build it so it doesn't fall over?"
