Chapter 3 - CHAPTER 3

Ever since arriving here, his daily experience had been to drift aimlessly amidst the chaotic currents, neither truly living nor dying, and he had survived by some bizarre stroke of **** luck. Countless times he had been on the verge of being sucked into one maelstrom, only to be unexpectedly pulled out by another, continuing his drift in a precarious balance of attractive forces.

As time flowed on, he felt his body changing—he was growing younger, his height and build shrinking, his clothes becoming increasingly oversized. When his body had diminished to a certain point, he felt his cognitive abilities begin to regress.

He realized his age was reversing, and his brain was undergoing a similar reverse growth.

If things continued this way, even if he wasn't ground to dust by the turbulence, he might regress back to an embryo and simply vanish.

However, fortune favored him once more. Just before he completely reverted to an embryonic state, he stumbled into a rift and passed through it unharmed, emerging on the other side. And so, he arrived in this new world, appearing at the orphanage gates.

By then, he had regressed into an infant. Most of his clothes and personal belongings from his previous life had been lost in the trans-dimensional passage. All that remained with him were his underclothes and a single white plastic card. This card, perhaps a relic from his past life, now clearly bore the name 'Felix Chance' – this was how he received his name in this new world.

As Felix gradually grew, he began to notice the changes brought about by his experiences in the trans-dimensional passage. These changes made him feel that even if he hadn't received a "system" like protagonists in novels after transmigrating, he was certainly one of the chosen.

He discovered he possessed a talent for infinite learning and growth. This talent was somewhat similar to Saitama from "One-Punch Man," yet distinct.

Any ability, talent, or skill he possessed could be infinitely strengthened through continuous learning and practice.

If he trained, his body would grow stronger; if he studied, he could master new knowledge; if he honed his will, it would become more resilient; if he thought diligently, his intellect would become more developed.

It was as if he had no limiters in any aspect. Even the talent that determined his rate of progress would itself strengthen with practice.

This led him to be engrossed in learning and training for a long time, until he realized he was becoming too different, too conspicuous, and only then did he slow his pace.

He also found he had an exquisite talent for time and space. He could sense distances without any reference points and judge the passage of time without a clock—these were undoubtedly benefits from his experience in the trans-dimensional passage.

Furthermore, as he grew older, he began to discover he could unconsciously influence and alter matter—he could move a water glass, make a spoon vanish, feel time slow down when he concentrated intently, and even occasionally summon items from other worlds. Thanks to his mature mind and self-control, he gradually learned to effectively prevent accidental manifestations caused by momentary emotional flare-ups. Through constant experimentation, he slowly became able to consciously use this ability, which was, in fact, called "magic."

By now, he could move objects of no great weight with his mind and could instinctively use certain abilities related to time and space. For instance, he could briefly control the flow of time for his own body, much like EMIYA's "Time Alter" from the Fate series or "bullet time" from The Matrix. He could also use a form of summoning: most of the time it failed, but occasionally he could summon things from other worlds.

To this day, his "treasure box" was filled with all sorts of strange and wonderful items from other worlds, including what appeared to be a Konoha forehead protector from the "Naruto" world, a tachi that resembled an "Asauchi" blade, a Master Ball, a novel titled "The Lusty Argonian Maid" (written entirely in Nordic script, but with illustrations), an H-doujinshi by an artist named "Eri Kashiwagi," a coin inscribed with the words, "May my sisters grow up with me and walk down the aisle alongside me" (Sylvanas Windrunner's wishing coin from the Dalaran fountain), a ring called "Doran's Lost Ring," and more…

Most of what he summoned were inanimate objects. The sole exception was a small white cat currently basking in the sun on the windowsill, named "Himari"—a cat demon from "Omamori Himari." When first summoned, the little creature was still an infant, and Felix had practically raised her by hand. Himari was now two years old, and perhaps because she was a cat demon, she already possessed considerable intelligence and spirit. He greatly looked forward to the day Himari could truly speak and transform into a human.

Until today, Felix had believed he had simply returned to Britain in the 1980s or 90s. He felt he had insights and experiences two or three decades ahead of the times, along with a powerful "golden finger" (his special advantage). Though he lacked a system, he was confident he could become the world's richest man in the new wave of the internet era and reach the pinnacle of life.

That was until he opened his door and saw the white-bearded old man standing before him.

"Hello, Mr. Chance. I am Albus Dumbledore, Headmaster of Hogwarts."
