Chapter 244 - Master of Dunia Part 1

A week passed by since the victory banquet.

During that time, I managed to learn more of the workings of the forged land through my position as Vice-Master.

Facilities constructions required more resources than I expected.

Prior our climb to the fifteenth floor, Master had been summoning buildings to the forged land and upgrading them out of thin air.

The fairy revealed to me they were built through the gold and gems Master also used to summon their heroes.

When facilities had reached certain state, or level, more resources and manpower were required to improve them.

That was the reason Master created a new post called 'Builder'.

Heroes skilled in construction work were assigned there.

Research points were also required for certain facility upgrades. But the fairy said we never ran out of research points from all the work the other mages and I had done in the magic hall.

There was a reason why I was learning all this information.

For the past week, Master had been ordering improvement on multiple facilities in the lobby.

The equipment workshops were Master's priority.

The number of combatant trainees had grown and Sigyn must had wanted the crafters to keep on providing steady supply of equipment to their soldiers.

They also likely had noticed my intention on sending Gerrits to the Exploration Dungeon and wanted to prepare for our next enchanted weapon project.

Our main storage was expanded into several buildings. Each with specific purpose.

We now had a Food Storage, a Resource Storage, and a War Storage.

The War Storage was where we kept the weapons, armors, and potions we would use in the trial. The facility was well-fortified in comparison to the other depositories.

Master actually had built one on each floor of the lobby, reserved for the combatants residing there.

My dimensional portals had access to all the War Storages. So we could summon equipment from there as always.

Naturally, we had to increase the managerial staffs for the added depositories, as well as transferring some duties to existing posts.

The Chief Cook had been given the task to manage the Food Storage as only food ingredients would be kept there and only the cooks would be handling them.

The Chief Gatherer had also been tasked to manage the Resource Storage as well, since the gatherer force had been expanded by Master.

Harl was now in charge solely for the main War Storage on the third floor where the Raid Team resided.

The other two War Storages were managed by average-skilled second floor trainees that had experience working in warehouses back in Dunia.

There was no Chief Depository Managers as all the depository managers would be coordinated by the Chief Administrator instead, which would receive direct orders from me.

But Harl and the other managers had submitted requests for additional staffs to help them organize and distribute the items kept in the depositories.

Master Sigyn had approved the requests. But only two additional staffs granted per facility and they had to be second floor residents first.

So we could not just appoint some first floor residents right away like we did for the Builder and the other working stations.

It was a policy that Sigyn implemented to prevent the majority of the first floor trainees to switch to supportive roles in the lobby.

Master had also improved the Dungeon Depth Research once more.

The further improvement enabled multiple parties to be sent into the Weekday Dungeons at once and for extended duration as well.

As such, Master had expanded the gatherer force into fifteen parties.

Five parties each for one of the Weekday Dungeons. Each group led by their own specific chief.

There was a Chief Foreman to lead the mining-specialist gatherers in the Isralta Mine. A Chief Forager for the hunters and foragers in the Kendert Forest. And a Chief Farmer for the field-hands in the Sinmiel Plateau.

This was why the Chief Gatherer was tasked to handle the Resource Storage. Serize now had people to coordinate the gatherers directly in the Weekday Dungeons.

Quite a number of the first floor residents were recruited to fill the new positions in the lobby.

That was also the reason why Sigyn had restricted some supporting stations only to second floor residents. Master did not want to have too much of their forces got absorbed into non-combat roles.

But even if they did, the first floor's population would not decrease at all.

We now had 157 trainees currently residing on the first floor of the lobby

Sigyn kept on summoning more regular heroes each day since our supply of gold was abundant.

For the past week Master had been focusing on making the second floor trainees frequent the twelfth to the fourteenth floors.

I actually suggested this to Master since we needed the second floor trainees to level up enough to endure their special training with the Raid Team.

Because of their frequent visits to those higher floors, the lobby received plenty of gold from the rewards of the trial clearances, which allowed Sigyn to summon more heroes.

Thanks to their levelling up, Trudy managed to discover talented second floor trainees that had the potential to become combat instructors.

Twenty 2-star heroes in total, the number of instructors the first floor academy needed according to Sigyn's orders.

Each of them had reached level 15 and were at least level 5 in main weapon skill.

It would still take a lot of work until they could qualify for the instructor positions.

But the candidates now had been appointed as Apprentice Instructors and had been tasked to assist Trudy with guiding the abundant first floor trainees.

During the day, the candidates would be instructing the first floor trainees in the first floor training ground. While in the early morning and at night, they would be training at the third floor alongside the Raid Team for their official qualifications.

I would say the instructor candidates had the most grueling schedule of everyone in the lobby.

But we needed to push them given how important their roles would be within our army.

All in all, from what I had seen lately, Master Sigyn was being more proactive compared to how they did during our fifteenth floor climb.

Given how much attention Sigyn put into the second and the first floor trainees for the past week, I suspected they also wanted most of the trainees to climb toward the twentieth floor alongside the Raid Team.

It seemed Master wanted to challenge the fourth Quintal Trial with their full force.
