Chapter 63 - epilog

In a luxurious hanging garden in the center of Tsuyoi Hito city, the atmosphere was lively and filled with laughter.

Today, the Strongest killer was no longer holding a weapon; instead, he wore a very neat black suit.

Togil looked a bit stiff, but his gaze was so gentle as he watched Envy walking gracefully toward him in a stunningly beautiful wedding dress.

"Ehm... Envy, are you ready to be my life partner?" Togil said while holding Envy's hand.

"Y-yes, Togil, I do!!" Envy replied, her eyes welling up with tears of joy.

"Whoooo!" cheered the invited guests in attendance.

At the guest tables, world legends gathered.

"Uwaaa! This grilled meat is so delicious!" exclaimed Gampler, already holding five skewers of meat at once, his cheeks bulging with food.

Shiro, sitting next to him, could only let out a long sigh with a slight smile. "Gampler, at least wait until the ceremony is over before finishing all the catering..."

"Hehehe, it's a shame our wedding back then was private, not like this," Gampler remarked.

"Heh, yeah," Shiro replied.

At another table, members of The Great Hunter joined the festivities.

Kregt laughed thunderously while toasting with Gens, while Gaki ran back and forth, being photographed by Shizuku, who wore a faint smile.

In a quieter corner, Steve sat side by side with Pulchra. The young man stared at Togil and Envy, who were reciting their sacred vows at the altar.

Steve then glanced at Pulchra, who was watching the bride and groom with emotion; the elf girl's face looked so beautiful under the afternoon sunlight.

A firm determination finally formed in Steve's heart.

A few days after Togil's wedding party, The Great Hunter headquarters was holding a small celebration to welcome world peace.

All core members gathered in the main hall. In the midst of the boisterous conversation, Steve suddenly stood up.

He walked to the center of the room, then looked straight at Pulchra, who was tidying some glasses on a table.

"Senior Pulchra," Steve called out in a loud enough voice, causing the entire hall to fall suddenly silent.

Pulchra turned, blinking in confusion. "Y-yes, Steve? What is it?"

Without warning, the young man now recognized as one of the strongest heroes stepped forward, then knelt on one knee right in front of Pulchra.

From his jacket pocket, Steve pulled out a small velvet box and opened it, revealing a beautifully shimmering silver ring.

"I used to be just the weakest human who was always protected," Steve said, looking directly into Pulchra's eyes, which were now wide open. "But now, let me be the one to protect you forever. Pulchra... will you marry me?"

Silence for a second... then an explosion of cheers broke out!

"UWOOOOGHH! THAT'S A REAL MAN!" roared Fortis, flexing his muscles out of sheer emotion.

"GYAAAA! BRO STEVE IS SO COOL!" Gaki jumped up and down with joy on top of Fortis's hand.

Kregt laughed the loudest while clapping, while Shizuku smiled softly, capturing the moment.

Pulchra was completely frozen. Her face turned bright red all the way to her ears, and tears of joy dripped from her eyes. With a trembling hand, she covered her mouth, then nodded quickly.

"I-I do, Steve... I do!" she sobbed happily.

The cheers at the TGH headquarters that night could be heard even outside the building, celebrating a love that had finally blossomed perfectly.

In a far-off part of the world, the sun began to set behind a vast grassland.

A figure in a black cloak sat on a high tree branch, watching a small village that had just survived a wild monster attack.

This world turned out to be much more beautiful when seen without hatred. I stared at my palm, which now had a physical form. Long ago, this hand only knew how to destroy and tear apart.

Now...

This morning, I helped a little child who was lost in the forest.

He wasn't afraid of me.

He just smiled and gave me a small flower as a token of gratitude.

A flower... for a creature that once annihilated the world.

How funny.

I can feel Steve is happy over there. Our bond has indeed been severed physically, but I can feel the stable aura of light and darkness within him. He has found his home.

Now, it's my turn to find my own meaning. Atoning for thousands of years of sin will never be possible, but seeing the smiles of the people I help... it feels like the burden on my shoulders has lightened a bit.

"This journey is still long," I whispered to the wind.

In the morning, No Name was walking on a rocky path in a remote village, a man in a dark cloak walking peacefully.

An old farmer's wooden cart appeared to be stuck in thick mud. The farmer was exhausted trying to lift it.

Without saying a word, the man in the cloak approached. With one light touch of his finger, a gentle dark aura lifted the cart and returned it to the flat road.

"O-oh! Thank you very much, Master Traveler! If I may know, what is your name?" asked the farmer, his eyes sparkling with gratitude.

The man paused for a moment. A gentle breeze blew his hood, revealing a face that now looked much more peaceful, without a hint of killing intent.

"My name..." He smiled faintly, looking at the peaceful sunset sky. "...is No Name."

No Name continued his steps along the path. No more throne, no more ambition to destroy, and no more hatred.

For the first time in his thousands of years of existence, the Nameless King finally found true peace in this vast world.
