The accumulation of mass in terrestrial form takes many shapes. From many small grams joined together to form a sandpit and used for certain types of attacks, to a rock, a mountain, something incredibly solid and difficult to break.
In addition, the most peculiar thing about earth is that many secondary elements are derived from it, such as wood, etc.
This makes studying earth magic complicated, but Louis didn't have as many problems as Hardrial expected. In fact, he found it easier than other types of magic. He didn't even know why, but everything he learned during classes and then in his professional life on earth served as a springboard for understanding it all.
"And to think I believed that much of that information would be of no use to me." Louis scoffed at this thought, but he took his learning seriously, as learning about this magic was indispensable for future defense.
