In the blink of an eye, Louis' bullet arrived milliseconds before Laura's. The timing was so precise that the vampire couldn't react.
One bullet struck him squarely and scattered his spirit; the other pierced his left eye.
The vampire felt the pain coursing through his body and staggered back slightly, letting out a loud cry of pain that was drowned out by the fury that took hold of his body.
