Chapter 133 – Gryffindor's Treasure Part 2

However, this violation also proves that Phineas's judgment is correct from another angle. The octopus, or Gryffindor, is testing them, and Phineas's level of Transfiguration should be qualified. The octopus then no longer blocked the actions of the group.

"Okay, let's go see what Gryffindor has left for us."

Phineas spoke, interrupting the weird atmosphere and calling back the minds of the others.

They walked to the middle of the island and looked at the all-metal throne and the treasure box next to it.

"Let's open the box first," George suggested.

Phineas nodded. "I think so too. Compared to this throne, I am more interested in the contents of the box."

When Fred heard this, he opened the box directly and revealed the contents. Yes, Gryffindor's treasure chest was unlocked. You could just open it. It was very easy.

The treasure chest was not filled with glittering gold Galleons as George and Fred imagined, nor were there various gems that Lee Jordan imagined, nor the books and notes that Phineas thought might be the inheritance.

Inside the box was a set of clothes, including a robe, cloak, boots, and a pair of gloves—but no hat.

Fred took out the clothes in disappointment and threw them on the ground.

What was underneath the clothes was revealed: a sword—specifically, a short sword with a cross guard, ruby pommel, and some runic words engraved on the hilt. George picked up the sword and pulled it out of the scabbard, revealing the silver-white blade that glinted coldly.

Engraved on the blade were the words: Godric Gryffindor.

Phineas finally examined the sword.

"It is indeed goblin-made metal, so this is the real Sword of Gryffindor."

George and Fred were stunned, looked at each other, then said in unison:

"It's so beautiful, it must be worth a lot of money!"

Phineas shook his head and said to the twins:

"There's no need to think about money. This belongs to Hogwarts. No one will buy it even if we tried to sell it. Even if someone dared, do you really want to sell Gryffindor's sword?"

George and Fred looked at each other and said:

"Really, I'm a little reluctant to sell it. Then why don't we take it back to Hogwarts and give it to Dumbledore? He'll definitely give us a Special Contribution Award."

"If we get that award, Percy won't be able to show off in front of us."

"And Mum will definitely be proud of us."

Listening to the conversation between the two, Phineas nodded and said:

"It is indeed necessary to take it back. I think Professor Dumbledore also needs this sword very much at this time."

Lee Jordan said, "Is this really Gryffindor's treasure? Why is only the sword considered a treasure?"

Phineas nodded. "It should be right here. As for the treasure, well..."

He pointed to the clothes George had thrown on the ground and continued:

"Those are the treasures. You wouldn't think that a set of clothes that haven't rotted away after a thousand years is ordinary, right?"

After hearing Phineas's words, the three of them realized—yes, this treasure was left behind a thousand years ago, so the clothes must be from that era too.

Ordinary clothing would have decayed long ago, but these clothes still retained their original appearance. How could they be ordinary?

Phineas continued:

"If I remember correctly, the Sorting Hat at Hogwarts used to be Gryffindor's own hat, and here, a hat is conspicuously missing."

George's eyes lit up. "You mean these clothes are like the Sorting Hat?"

Phineas nodded. "Very likely. Even if they're not exactly the same, these clothes are definitely powerful magical items."

Fred squatted down and looked at the clothes curiously, then shook his head and said:

"The important thing is that we didn't find anything else!"

Lee Jordan suddenly said, "Wait, guys, I think I found something."

Everyone turned around and found that Lee Jordan had gone to examine the box while they were focused on the clothes.

He took out a piece of parchment from the box, handed it to the group and said:

"I found this inside. It might be useful."

Phineas opened the parchment and read it. After a moment, he smiled and said:

"Okay, guys, now I can tell you for sure that these clothes are indeed similar to the Sorting Hat. They just haven't had wisdom infused into them yet. And this parchment explains how to do it."

George and Fred's eyes lit up. According to Phineas, they might be able to create something like their own Sorting Hat.

Phineas smiled and handed the parchment to the twins, continuing:

"However, even if we do infuse wisdom, they won't work the same way as the Sorting Hat. That hat can sort students because the wisdom it holds came from the four founders."

George waved his hand. "That's fine. What we care about isn't the sorting function, but the idea of having clothes with their own intelligence."

Phineas shrugged. "In that case, let's divide them. There are exactly four items: gloves, boots, robe, and cloak—one for each of us. You can pick first."

Lee Jordan shrugged. "According to the parchment, each item may develop unique traits after wisdom is added. For example, the Sorting Hat represents the mind."

Phineas nodded. "If I had to guess: gloves are for dueling and combat, boots for speed and mobility, robes for protection, and cloaks for invisibility."

George and Fred looked at each other. "In that case, we'll take the cloak and the boots."

Lee Jordan looked at Phineas. "Which one do you want?"

Phineas smiled. "I'll give you the robe. If it works like I think, it should boost your magical abilities. I'd prefer the gloves—they might help with dueling. Of course, that's just speculation. Let's just enjoy the process."

Lee Jordan nodded. "Then I'll take the robe."

He handed the gloves to Phineas.

"Shall we start now?"

Phineas nodded. "Let's start."

As he spoke, he sat down with the gloves and began casting spells on them, following the instructions on the parchment.

In fact, it was not that difficult to infuse wisdom into an object. A simple incantation, plus a memory and a certain amount of magic power, was all it took—
