A day went by calmly like the subtle waves of deep waters, but like they say, stirring brings trouble. The king was still the same; there was no new news, meaning no good news for Queen Elena and her minions.
The break of dawn had just announced its arrival when she barged into her son's room. Prince Edmon was up and preparing for his day when the door slammed open and the fuming visage of his mother cornered him.
"Mother," Edmon hissed, then put on more clothes, as he was in a light robe, but Queen Elena cared less about his outfit.
"I thought you said Kallin could be trusted?" she snapped.
"I did, and we can," he answered.
"Then what is happening? It's been a few days already, and Rowan is still going about like nothing is happening."
Edmon sighed and slammed his butt on the chair.
"How should I know all this? Kallin is Kallin, and I am Edmon. What if he changed his mind or just hasn't found the right timing to take action? You should be patient, Mother."
