Chapter 80 - Chapter 18 part 3

Alexa woke up after Ratchet smacked her and Bumblebee as they both got upwards. Hoist and Cliffjumper were looking around as Optimus was groaning. Immediately Cliff saw that rubble next to them as he soon began to try to grab the rocks and throw them out of the way. "Damn it!" He cursed before hearing Ratchet say "Cliffjumper! Be careful!" Cliffjumper turned to see Optimus in front of Alexa and was slightly panting as he was trying to protect her from large rocks hitting her. "Optimus, I think I'm okay." She said as she got up seeing that his hands were on his knees and he seemed exhausted. His optics started to glitch out as his sensors were working overtime to stabilise himself. "Are you okay?" Bumblebee asked as Optimus nodded "Y-Yes. I think so..." He tried to raise his hand but instantly stopped, letting it fall to the ground. He got up feeling his head hurting. Bumblebee tried to go over to him before Cliffjumper pointed his gun at him which made Hoist tense up. "Let Ratchet work with this." Cliff said before pulling his gun away. Bumblebee never see him this hostile before which made him worry.

"Cliffjumper! Whatever is wrong with you!?" Optimus asked getting up despite his injuries as he grabbed Cliffjumper in his shoulders. Cliffjumper seemed surprised and stepped backwards as he looked upwards. The area had become cold as he turned his head away before glancing at the small Autobot again with his optics softening slightly. "I care for you Cliffjumper but you got to stop acting like this!" Cliffjumper looked down before saying "We need to fight the Decepticons and get that stupid seeker." Cliffjumper said to him as Optimus looked conflicted. Ratchet said to Cliffjumper "Cliff, let's not do this." Cliffjumper was about to protest before stopping at Ratchet's stern look as Optimus felt his head hurting. Things was stiff and Hoist looked around the area. It was super dark, with holes going through some of the floors and barely any light coming through. The walls were darkened with wet soil, dust and old concrete as the holes seem to never end. Hoist looked with apprehension as there was no ceiling above them with a corridor going through both the left and front on upper floor. Meanwhile on the ground floor there was only on direction through the left side which is the opposite of them.

"I think we need to go through there." Alexa suddenly said as everyone turned their attention to her. Optimus tried to go there but when turning a corner, it was blocked as he grabbed out his ion cannon and attempted to shot it. But he noticed that when the blast attempted to come out, it turned into a red colour and seemed far more uncontrolled as the blast immediately shot out without his control and sent him flying backwards. It immediately sent a 1/20th of a nuclear explosion screwing most of the rubble and some of the area. He coughed as the smoke cleared as there what looked to be a shape of a small black hole in the walls as he got up seeing energon spilling from the walls. Immediately his friends came over seeing what had happened as they saw the scene in surprise. "What happened?" Alexa asked as Optimus replied with "I think this didn't turn out well but it had destroyed most of the blockage, so we move on." As Ratchet looked over the rubble that was disintegrated while Cliffjumper came cautiously. "Yeah okay, so when are we going?" Cliffjumper asked as Hoist soon said "Cliff, must a moment. There is a energy signal here."

Hoist removed his subspace which that had a green screen that had multiple lines of code, letters, numerical values quickly writing itself and disappearing afterwards. The back was connected to a thick, black stick and had wires joined as screws were firmly put into place. He scanned the odd human signal as a massive amount of energy came through and showed itself. "Holy, a 8.9! Looks like something is this way." Hoist said pointing to the rest of the corridor outside of the broken thing. Alexa soon began to investigate trying to find clues and wanting to help. "Hey wait!" She grabbed out a orange that was glowing a yellow colour and she said "Is it just me or is it the same colour as that chemical?" Optimus soon said "This is no doubt Starscream's w-work. We should probe and look into this." Optimus looked committed to this as Bumblebee seemed to notice the markings on the wall which suggested that this area that they went into is far older. Alexa rubbed her foot against the floor as Ratchet grabbed Optimus "Your still hurt, you need my medical help." Optimus insisted as Alexa jumped through the hole and landed downwards. "You lot coming?" She said turned with a hint of amusement.

They began to follow after her, one by one as each of them jumped. As they landed, Hoist noticed the energy signal getting stronger as Optimus tried to keep his focus. "This way! Move with me." Hoist said before running. "Hey wait! Where are you going!?" Bumblebee rushed after him as Cliffjumper was excited to fight someone although his posture seemed to be rather tight. Ratchet grabbed Optimus's arm as both ran in a hurry. Alexa came last, her small human size not helping her "Hey, wait for me!" She said, her feet stepping into another corridor. This one seemed larger and less compact but trying to describe the structure was just weird to explain. It was almost sort of a unnatural 3D dimensional area which is supposed to fit in real life but somehow it felt almost forced, sort of like a adjacent area that didn't match. It unnerved Alexa a bit as Hoist entered through it and noticed the trippy feeling of it especially with how it seemed to empathise the 'forwards' and 'backwards' part to instead of upwards, downwards, left and right of the 2nd dimension as it stretched further on. "Biscuits on a plate! This area is hard to get through. I can't tell where I'm going at." Hoist mentioned trying to get a sense of direction. "I think you go this way." Ratchet pointed as Hoist nodded and walked off. But for some reason instantly spilt off.

"Hoist? Hoist!" Bumblebee yelled trying to receive a answer to no avail.
