Kakashi quickly came to his senses when he saw that Itachi was coming toward him. He secretly uncovered his Sharingan eye and attempted to put Itachi under a genjutsu. That was a pretty stupid move, honestly. Still, Kakashi was about to receive the beating of his life.

Meanwhile, Jiraiya snapped out of the pressure and said, "Alright, brat! You caught me off guard with that genjutsu of yours, but that trick won't work on me again!"

Naruto raised an eyebrow. This man is really foolish, he thought. He actually believes that was just a genjutsu? He really thinks I couldn't possibly possess that kind of power?

Jiraiya growled, "Enough!" and rushed toward Naruto at high-jōnin speed, hoping to speed-blitz him and land a punch from behind.

Naruto didn't even move from his position. Calmly, he raised his hand and caught Jiraiya's punch with ease. The Sannin's eyes widened in surprise, but he quickly spun around, attempting to kick Naruto. Without missing a beat, Naruto jumped into the air and slammed his foot into Jiraiya's face, sending him flying.

Jiraiya quickly caught himself midair and flew through hand signs. "Fire Style: Great Fireball Jutsu!" he shouted, releasing a blazing inferno toward Naruto.

Naruto calmly lifted a single finger toward the flames and flicked upward. A powerful shockwave was released from his finger, instantly blowing the fire apart like it was nothing. The shockwave continued forward, slamming into an invisible barrier Jiraiya quickly erected, but the force still sent him flying.

Jiraiya was stunned. "What the hell...?"

He gritted his teeth. "Alright, brat. Enough with your tricks!" he shouted as he began forming a Rasengan. Chakra swirled violently in his hand. But this wasn't just any Rasengan—it was a mid-Kage level Spiraling Rasengan, a technique that would cripple most jōnin.

Jiraiya charged at Naruto, Rasengan blazing.

Naruto calmly watched the incoming attack. At the last second, he smirked—and reached out with his bare hand.

To the shock of everyone present, Naruto caught the Rasengan.

Jiraiya's eyes widened in disbelief.

Naruto began to squeeze the Rasengan.

The chakra sphere violently resisted, but Naruto's grip held firm. Slowly, with terrifying strength and control, he compressed it further and further—until the spiraling chakra began to distort and destabilize.

Then, with a sudden twist, Naruto popped the Rasengan like a balloon.

The resulting backlash of raw chakra sent Jiraiya flying backward, crashing into the training ground wall.

But Naruto?

He didn't move an inch.

He stood in the exact same spot—calm, unmoved, and silent.

The entire council stood in stunned silence. Even Minato's eyes widened.

That attack was perfect. No one—not even Tsunade with her monstrous strength—could crush a Rasengan like that. The speed, rotation, and pressure of the technique made it nearly impossible to physically overpower.

And yet... Naruto had just done it.

As Naruto smirked and said, "So, is that all you've got, Jiraiya? Huh. To be honest, I was expecting a bit more."

Then, raising his hand, a Rasengan began forming in his palm—but it didn't stop there. It grew. And grew. And kept growing.

A shadow began to loom over the entire area as the Rasengan expanded, shocking nearly every council member present. Jiraiya instinctively stepped back. Suddenly, flames began to swirl around Naruto's Rasengan. The color shifted to a deep, burning red, and at its center, it began glowing like a miniature sun.

Minato's eyes widened in disbelief. He had tried for years to add his elemental affinity to the Rasengan—and failed. And now, his son had done it effortlessly. He hadn't even known Naruto was working on something like this.

Jiraiya was also left speechless. His elemental affinity was fire as well, and yet despite decades of training, he had never been able to infuse fire into the Rasengan—not even in Sage Mode. He could create the Odama Rasengan, sure—but not this.

Naruto smirked confidently as he began condensing the Rasengan. The chakra sphere began shrinking in size—but increasing exponentially in power.

The council, Minato, and Jiraiya watched in disbelief. What Naruto was doing wasn't just dangerous—it was supposed to be impossible. The amount of chakra control required to compress such raw energy was insane. Not even Tsunade, famed for her precision, could do something like this.

The sphere shrank further until it was a condensed orb of blazing chakra.

Naruto smiled. "Hey, Jiraiya—try catching this."

He casually tossed the Rasengan into the air, then kicked it like a football straight toward Jiraiya.

Jiraiya's eyes widened in horror.

In a split second, he managed to throw up multiple defensive jutsu. He even unleashed his signature hair technique to shield himself and summoned a few protective toads—but it wasn't enough.

The Rasengan collided with the barrier—

BOOOOOM!!!

The entire area erupted in a fiery explosion, engulfing everything in its path. The training field was obliterated, leaving behind smoldering craters and scorched earth. Shock rippled through the watching council.

Meanwhile, on the other side of the field, Kakashi was already unconscious—laid out flat on the ground.

Itachi stood calmly over him, Sharingan active, his eyes quietly studying Kakashi's defeated form. Then he turned his gaze toward the other side, toward Jiraiya.

The legendary Sannin was barely standing.

Bloodied. Burned. Gasping for breath.

Jiraiya had managed to survive, thanks to the last-minute barriers and defensive techniques, but his body was scorched and trembling. He had clearly underestimated Naruto—and paid the price for it.

Before he could speak, Naruto was suddenly right in front of him.

Too fast.

Without saying a word, Naruto brought down a swift chop to the side of Jiraiya's neck.

Thud.

The Toad Sage collapsed, unconscious.

As Naruto looked toward Itachi, the Uchiha simply shrugged, as if to say, "As always, huh?" Naruto just shook his head. Kakashi was lying on the ground, clearly knocked out—most likely the result of a genjutsu.

Silence settled over the entire area. The council members were well aware of the legends surrounding both Itachi and Naruto—especially Naruto. But now, seeing him take down Jiraiya of the Sannin like that, they were left stunned. It wasn't an easy feat—Jiraiya was a Kage-level shinobi, after all.

Naruto casually walked over to Itachi.

"Huh, still using genjutsu?" he remarked.

"He tried to put me in one," Itachi replied calmly. "So I reversed it and layered a triple genjutsu. After the second layer, he thought he had me… but needless to say, he was defeated pretty easily."

Naruto chuckled softly at that and gave a small shrug as the two of them began walking away, completely ignoring the council, who were still slack-jawed in disbelief.

After some time, Tsunade stood up, already healing the unconscious Jiraiya. Minato sighed. It was clear he needed to have a discussion with Naruto—after all, he wanted to know how Naruto was able to add his elemental chakra to the Rasengan. Not only that, but also how he managed to condense it to such a degree—and even throw it like a football. That wasn't supposed to be possible. The Rasengan was never meant to be a projectile.

Minato had many questions, and it seemed a private talk with his son was long overdue.

As for the council, they had no complaints after what they had witnessed. That very day, they unanimously decided to appoint Naruto as the official head of the team. Moreover, they proposed that Naruto occasionally train other teams as well, to help balance the overall structure within the village. Minato sighed again but agreed to the proposal.

Meanwhile,

Danzo remained silent throughout the entire meeting. All this time, he had hoped to extract something from the files—some weakness or flaw in Naruto—but he had learned nothing. That frustrated and angered him.

For the first time, he had seen Naruto's true potential—eye to eye, face to face. And now, he realized just how dangerous the boy truly was.

His little weapons, Menma and Mito, didn't have that kind of potential—and never would. Even if they managed to master the full power of the Nine-Tails sealed inside them, they still wouldn't match Naruto. Danzo could feel it—Naruto hadn't even revealed his full power yet.
