Chapter 41 - Chapter 41 : The Final Duel

"Let's end this, Sora!" shouted Yamile as she reignited her fighting spirit.

Sora continued to approach. His demonic aura was suffocating the air. The wind around them went wild, blowing dust and leaves into a chilling storm. Yamile stood unsteadily, pain surging through her entire body. But her gaze was sharp and full of determination. Her trident now glowed with a radiant green aura, circling her like lightning.

"You can still stand? That half-human body of yours is pretty impressive," mocked Sora. He started running, charging at Yamile like a wild bull.

Yamile didn't back down. She struck her trident into the ground. Instantly, the earth trembled violently. The water from a nearby stream rose into the air, forming sharp spirals that wrapped around Yamile. Her trident now fused with the elements of water and demonic power, creating a destructive force.

They both lunged forward. Sora used his bare hands, which were as hard as stone, while Yamile wielded her empowered trident. The impact of their clash unleashed a massive explosion of energy, toppling nearby trees, cracking the ground, and filling the air with dust.

"RAAAHHH!!" Sora roared as he jumped and slammed both hands down, unleashing a shockwave that shattered the ground before Yamile.

But Yamile leapt high, then hurled her trident at Sora. It shot like an arrow and nearly pierced his chest, but he quickly deflected it with his demon-hardened arm.

In that moment, Yamile was already behind Sora. She summoned five more water dragons—but this time, they merged into one colossal water dragon infused with a green aura. Its red eyes blazed, and its shimmering scales reflected light beautifully.

"Take this!" shouted Yamile.

The massive dragon surged toward Sora, its mouth open, unleashing a high-pressure blast of water that obliterated everything in its path.

Sora was shocked, but he didn't run. He raised both arms and began to gather all the demonic energy within him. His skin darkened, his eyes glowed red, his body grew slightly larger, muscles bulged, and a horn emerged from his forehead.

He leapt high, spinning his body like a giant drill. His rotation was so fast that a tornado formed behind him. The two forces collided violently, shaking the earth and uprooting trees.

Meanwhile, Zhao, who was trying to rescue the kidnapped children, struggled due to the chaos caused by the clash. Flying debris and rocks kept hitting Sora's base.

Zhao couldn't stand by—he had to protect the building, for the children were inside.

"Their power is incredible," Zhao muttered as he slashed through a falling tree trunk.

He continued his task, darting around, cutting down anything headed for the building. Suddenly, a four-meter boulder flew toward him.

"How can I handle this? Even if I cut it in two, it will still hit the building behind me," he whispered.

Gripping his black sword tightly, Zhao swung it horizontally in sync with his body, intending to create a counter-tornado to block the massive rock.

Zhao's tornado was more terrifying, laced with the power of his slashes. Upon impact, the boulder shattered, breaking into tiny fragments.

Meanwhile, the clash between Yamile and Sora continued. Amid the brutal battle, Yamile kept empowering her dragon. She channeled an overwhelming stream of water into it, making it grow larger and more menacing. Sora refused to be outdone—his spin grew faster, his tornado larger. Their powers now seemed evenly matched.

"You'll never defeat me!" Sora shouted.

"You'll die just like your stupid mother!" he roared again.

Yamile's rage intensified. Her fury radiated a denser green aura, lifting her hair and making her eyes glow.

With all her strength, she poured her power into the dragon. It shone brighter green, its vortex spun faster, and it grew bigger. The colossal dragon was no longer just water—it was the symbol of Yamile's power, fully united with her demonic side.

"ATTACK!!" Yamile screamed, her voice echoing like it came from two worlds at once.

The dragon lunged forward, faster than ever. Sora braced himself. With his demonic energy at its peak, he spun again, becoming a massive drill. But this time, Yamile's dragon wasn't just powered by water and demon aura—it was alive, fueled by Yamile's own spirit and wrath.

When the impact occurred, the earth trembled as if in pain. The sky darkened, and thunder boomed alongside the cataclysmic crash. The energy blast from both forces erupted in a massive shockwave, destroying everything nearby. Zhao had to cling to the ground to prevent his throw.

Sora groaned—his body cracked. The demonic aura around him became unstable. "No! I… I am an eternal demon! I cannot be defeated!" he screamed, trying to resist the dragon's force.

But the dragon didn't stop. Its mouth opened wide, revealing a green vortex inside—like a dimensional hole sucking everything in. Yamile's aura echoed from within, like nature itself calling for vengeance.

Sora gave one last scream. Using his final strength, he channeled all his energy into his right hand, trying to stab the dragon's heart.

But it was futile.

As he advanced his hand, the dragon engulfed him completely. In an instant, the demon's body vanished into the glowing green vortex. Yamile's ultimate power consumed Sora's scream, echoing one last time before it vanished. The dragon flew off, disappearing into the sea.

Silence fell over the battlefield. The trees that once shook now stood still. The raging winds vanished. It seemed as though the natural world had ceased to breathe.

Yamile collapsed to her knees, gasping for air, blood trickling from her nose and lips. The green aura around her slowly faded.

Seeing the situation from afar, Zhao ran toward her. He left the base's defense behind, certain the children were now safe.

"Yamile!!" Zhao shouted, catching her as she nearly fell.

"I did it, Zhao…" Yamile whispered weakly.

Zhao nodded, eyes glistening. "Yes, you did… You defeated Sora."

Moments later, the sky cleared. Birds that had fled returned with song. Though the forest still smoked with destruction, the air felt lighter—as if the evil burdening the eastern city had finally been lifted.

Zhao helped Yamile to her feet. "You're the hero of this world now."
