Chapter 14 - Assassin 3

The flickering candlelight inside Lord Vaelric Drenmor's estate cast long shadows across the walls. The noble's sharp, pale features twisted into a scowl as he paced the room. His wine goblet sat untouched.

Across from him knelt Veyra, silent and unwavering.

"How much longer until you bring me his head?" Vaelric spat, his voice low and venomous. "That… outsider. That strange warrior who dares to flaunt his unknown power in my city."

Veyra's head lowered slightly. "The man is… not like any I've encountered. His skills defy reason."

Vaelric scoffed, his eyes narrowing. "Then kill him, no matter the cost. I don't care what he is — Rider, sorcerer, demonspawn. If he continues breathing, he's a threat to everything we've built."

The assassin's voice was cold as steel. "I will not fail, my lord."

Vaelric's gaze hardened. "Good. Because if you do… you won't live to see another sunrise." He turned toward the window, staring into the misty streets below. "He carries some power no mage or scholar has ever recorded. It's not of this world. And if it isn't controlled… it must be erased."

Veyra disappeared into the shadows without another word.

At The grand plaza of Dravorn was a storm of chaos. Tsukasa, Lumi, and Elara faced off against a group of mercenaries sent by Lord Vaelric Drenmor, while high on a balcony, the noble watched with a cruel grin.

At his side stood Veyra, his loyal assassin, eyes sharp and locked onto Tsukasa.

"Soon… he'll bleed," Vaelric sneered. "When I fall, you'll strike him down. End him before his power grows."

Veyra nodded without hesitation. "As you command, my lord."

Meanwhile, in the square below — Tsukasa was casually fending off blades and spears, dodging attacks with that same lazy smirk. Lumi and Elara fought at his side, back to back.

Suddenly, a high priestess from the capital — a young woman named Seris — arrived at the scene. She wore the white and gold robes of the temple, drawn by the noise and violence.

Her eyes landed on Tsukasa just as one of the enemy mages began chanting, hurling four elemental spells at once — fire, ice, lightning, and earth. The sky cracked with their power.

Elara shouted, "Tsukasa! Look out!"

But Tsukasa just sighed, reaching into his coat.

"Figures," he muttered. He pulled out a card marked with the emblem of Kamen Rider Wizard and slid it into the Decadriver.

"Henshin."

A burst of crimson magic light engulfed him, his armor reshaping into the slick, jewel-like form of Kamen Rider Wizard. The ring on his hand gleamed as he swiftly rotated the ring through his belt buckle.

"Connect. Copy. Defend. Thunder."

Four different magic rings activated in rapid succession without a chant. Seris gasped from the crowd, eyes wide — she had never seen magic without incantation, let alone four different spells woven together in an instant.

Fire erupted around Tsukasa's fist. A barrier shielded Lumi and Elara. A bolt of lightning crashed down at the attacking mages. And the earth beneath Tsukasa's feet surged to throw enemies off balance.

Seris whispered, awe-struck, "By the gods… what is he?"

She watched, mesmerized, as the unknown warrior fought like a walking storm of magic, bending the elements like a seasoned archmage — but without a single word spoken.

High above, Vaelric's expression darkened.

"He's dangerous… too dangerous to be left alive."

Veyra simply nodded. "When the time comes, I will end him."

Tsukasa, still in Wizard form, cracked his neck. "You guys done playing yet?" he teased, the shimmer of magic reflecting off his armor. "Because I'm getting bored."
