Chapter 18 - Chapter 82: Strong Zhou Yi, Uncompromising

Although you are the homeroom Teacher, you can't just ignore the students' opinions," Zhu Lu stood up to speak for Dai Huabin.

"I also think Huo Yuhao shouldn't just be the Class Leader like this," another student stood up in opposition. This was Wu Feng, a female Academy student.

There were quite a few more people below who opposed, but they weren't as aggressive as to stand up.

"If you think there's a problem with Huo Yuhao being the Class Leader, you can apply to go to other classes. This class of mine doesn't welcome you," Zhou Yi's attitude was strong.

"What do you mean by this?" Dai Huabin said angrily. Was the other party not going to reason at all?

"The literal meaning. If you don't want to stay in my class, then get out," Zhou Yi was no longer polite in her speech.

"Teacher Zhou, watch your words," Wang Yan couldn't help but remind her, and also tried to persuade Zhou Yi not to be so aggressive, as choosing a Class Leader indeed required careful consideration.

He also felt that directly appointing Huo Yuhao as Class Leader was not good and would make it difficult to gain everyone's acceptance.

Dai Huabin was greatly angered by Zhou Yi's blatant 'get out'. If she wasn't a Teacher, he would have wanted to hit her.

"Teacher Zhou, the Class Leader needs to take the lead and manage effectively. This relates to the future learning atmosphere of a class."

"This is a major matter for every student in a class, yet you directly appoint the Class Leader without considering our feelings at all. Isn't this a bit too irresponsible towards us?"

"We are not opposing Huo Yuhao as Class Leader, but opposing your method of determining the Class Leader without any convincing reason."

"If you want Huo Yuhao to be the Class Leader, shouldn't you let us see Huo Yuhao's ability? Otherwise, how can he convince everyone?"

"If the chosen Class Leader cannot even convince everyone, then the position is meaningless. Do you think this has any significance?" Shi Yu couldn't stand it anymore and stood up to help speak.

This was not about whether he got along with Huo Yuhao, nor was it targeting Huo Yuhao, but rather opposing Zhou Yi's method based on the facts.

"Exactly, if the chosen Class Leader cannot even convince everyone, then what is the meaning of choosing a Class Leader?" Dai Huabin echoed.

Zhu Lu, Wu Feng, and some others also agreed, and a few more people stood up, expressing their opposition.

Zhou Yi frowned slightly as she looked at Shi Yu, not particularly fond of him either.

If it weren't for this person, Huo Yuhao and Wang Dong wouldn't have been severely injured in the previous freshman assessment finals.

Furthermore, their team took the championship from their class, making it difficult to like them much.

"If you oppose, then go to other classes. This class of mine doesn't welcome you," Zhou Yi's attitude did not soften, remaining tough.

"Teacher Zhou," Wang Yan wanted to dissuade Zhou Yi, but her strong gaze forced him into silence.

"Teacher Zhou, we are just objectively hoping for a fair selection of the Class Leader. This can't be considered maliciously opposing you, right?"

"But you want to drive us away at the slightest disagreement. May I ask if this is your teaching style?" Shi Yu questioned.

"So what?" Zhou Yi said.

"Nothing much, I just think if that's the case, there's no need to stay in this class anymore."

"However, we won't leave directly, but will file a complaint with the Academic Affairs Office and apply to switch to a homeroom Teacher who can treat us fairly."

"I don't believe the Academic Affairs Office will ignore such unfair matters," Shi Yu said.

"Exactly, we want to complain!" Dai Huabin and others all expressed their stance.

"Go ahead and complain, suit yourselves," Zhou Yi said indifferently.

"There's no need to escalate things to this point. What you did is indeed inappropriate. While you trust Huo Yuhao, you cannot directly appoint him."

"This is not an ordinary student class. Management ability is important, but strength is also important. The Class Leader must be able to convince everyone," Wang Yan tried hard to persuade her.

Choosing a Class Leader in a Soul Master class actually places more importance on strength, and Huo Yuhao's strength was clearly not enough to convince everyone.

"Let them go complain. I want to see whether the Academic Affairs Office stands with them or with me."

"Now, please, those of you who oppose my opinion, leave first, so as not to disturb me teaching my students," Zhou Yi issued the expulsion order.

Shi Yu left his seat decisively, not wanting to wait for the other party to physically throw him out.

He would not compromise and would try to file a complaint.

Dai Huabin and Zhu Lu followed. Wu Feng and a few other students who had stood up hesitated for a moment before also going out.

Gradually, a few more people decided to join the complaining group.

They were truly a bit upset by Zhou Yi's arbitrary approach.

Even if she was a Teacher, she couldn't completely disregard the students' thoughts.

Didn't they even have the right to strive for a fair Class Leader election?

Fifteen people left, while more remained seated in the classroom. Not everyone supported Zhou Yi, and some didn't, they just didn't dare to cause trouble with the others.

"They are no longer people of First Class from now on. Huo Yuhao, continue," Zhou Yi said flatly.

Huo Yuhao felt very pleased inside, wanting to see Dai Huabin, Shi Yu, and the others frustrated.

Shi Yu and Dai Huabin and others walked directly towards the Academic Affairs Office and found Director Du Weilun.

"We just hope to be treated fairly," Shi Yu added after finishing explaining the matter.

Du Weilun frowned. The new semester had just begun, and Zhou Yi was already causing such a scene for him.

He wasn't unaware of Zhou Yi's temper: strict teaching, strong-willed, basically having the final say, meaning whatever she said was final, and she absolutely did not want to hear any opposition or other opinions.

He had received similar complaints dozens of times before, and in the past, he mostly supported her, as she was a Teacher of the Academy and her teaching ability was indeed outstanding.

But this time, there were over a dozen people complaining about her, and one of them was Shi Yu, which made things difficult.

The most important thing was that this complaint was reasonable and justified, forcing him to take it seriously.

"I'll go talk to Zhou Yi," Du Weilun returned with Shi Yu and the others to First Class of the first year.

"Teacher Zhou Yi, could you please come out?" Du Weilun knocked on the door, interrupting Zhou Yi's speech in the class.

Zhou Yi looked at Du Weilun and Shi Yu and the others beside him, frowning slightly. What did this mean?

"Class Leader, maintain order. Start self-study first," Zhou Yi instructed, confirming Huo Yuhao's identity as Class Leader.

She and Wang Yan both left the classroom and closed the door.

The students inside were all very curious about the development of the matter. Would Teacher Zhou Yi be punished, or would Shi Yu and the others leave First Class?

"Director Du, if you want me to retract my decision to expel them from First Class, then there's no need to say it. I will not change my decision."

"My attitude is also very simple: either they leave, or I won't teach First Class," Zhou Yi spoke stiffly even when facing the Director of the Academic Affairs Office.

"Zhou Yi, must you always be so tough?" Du Weilun frowned, feeling utterly helpless towards Zhou Yi.

Just as there would be a few troublemakers among the students in First Class, the same was true among the Teachers. This Zhou Yi was a typical Teacher troublemaker.
