Axel pov
As we got back in the meeting room and got our head shouted off by Beta John. We sat down and I instantly looked at my mate Lucian.
Our gaze met and we didn't break eye contact. "That's all, we can now sign the covenant if no one has any questions" my father said. My dad and mom signed a paper then gave it to Alpha Lucian. He signed the paper and passed down the paper to his beta. After everyone that needed to sign it, they give back the paper to my father "Thank you, there will be a celebrating for the week, you can stay as much as you want" my father said.
Alpha Lucian just nodded at that and looked at me and a playful smile formed on his lips, the air stopped moving in my throat and I freezed.
That smile... He was handsome with it, but it wasn't that type of friendly smile, it was more like a playful one that a predator has before hunting down its prey... I gulped down the air that was stuck in my throat and I looked away from him. Trying to avoid his gaze.
"We would love to stay here for some time" Beta Alyx said. I was surprised as I looked up at the beta. I noticed her serious facial expression, I raised an eyebrow and as I followed the beta's gaze it only ended at Emily. "Emily?" I whispered to her, Emily looked at me 'what?' she asked through our mind link
'Why is Beta Alyx looking at you non stop?' I asked in our mind link, Emily looked back at the beta 'she is familiar, I think I met with her before"'my eyes widened at this.
Met with her before?
"My sister, Asher will be late, she didn't get back from her trip yet so I apologize on her behalf" Alpha Lucian said, he has a sister? "That's okay, we will make sure there will be a free room for her. Before that Beta John will show you your rooms" my mom said, as Beta John got up, Alpha Lucian and Beta Alyx got up as well.
Before they left the room, I made eye contact with Alpha Lucian for the last time. His eyes was a shade of red for a second before turning back to its original colour, maybe that was his wolf. After they leff, Emily looked at me
"So, is he really your mate?" she asked and it was a bit too loud .
I hissed at her and put a hand on her mouth "Emily-"
but I only noticed that everyone was looking at me confused. Luckily only Beta Jonh, my dad, and mom were here.
"Son"
I forced a smile "Yes dad..?" I asked nervously, "What did Emily say about your mate?" my mom asked
"I-"
"Do you have a mate, dear?" my mom asked again "Who is it?" Beta Joonh asked, I pulled away my hand from Emily and I glared at her. She looked at me confused "What? I thought it was okay if they heard it" she said.
I sighed as I looked at the other "Yes... I-"
I took a big breath and take a minute to think about how to say it. "I found my mate.." I said as I tried to avoid the other's gazes "That's a really good new dear! Why didn't you tell us sooner?" I looked up at her and saw how happily she was smiling, and dad too.
"That's so good to hear, son! Who is it?" They were happy that I found my mate but how should I tell them that my mate is no other than Alpha Lucian
"I- I don't know how to say this but..." I tried to make a sentence that could tell them but it was hard
"It's Alpha Lucian.." I said and I watched as their smiles slowly faded and their happy faces slowly turned into a confused one. "Alpha Lucian...?" Beta John managed to ask it in a low voice.
"Yes.. I found it out in the morning when they arrived" I slowly said as I tried to avoid their gazes.
"So that's why..."
my mom began but stopped herself. I looked up at her and raised an eyebrow. Mom let out a sigh and continued "I noticed that Alpha Lucian was giving you glances at the meeting and when they arrived he didn't take his eyes off from you" she took a breath "I thought it was a bit weird, but now I know the reason why he did that" mom looked at me
"But it will work between you two" my father said with a soft voice I looked at him, and I was surprised by his soft voice. It was rare when he used that. "But.. We are both alphas, and we are dominated . We don't like when someone tries to make orders for us or try to dominate us-" I started to panic a little
"Calm down Axel, it seems impossible but you need to belive that in history there were other mates that were both alpha, and it always worked out. You don't need to worry about that" Beta Jonh said "Are you sure?" I asked, and everyone nodded
"Axy... Don't worry about it too much, I think Alpha Lucian will understand this, and maybe he is as confused as you are" Emily said and I smiled at her. I nodded slowly and I got up. "I think I will just go to my room for now, and think about it" I said and I started to walk away. I walked out of the meeting room, and I started to make my way up to my room.
As I was walking I noticed that Beta Alyx just walked in a room. It seems that she has her room beside me. I raised an eyebrow, and as I got closer. I felt that feeling again and my wolf started to go crazy again.
I tried to calm my wolf down as much as I could, and when I got to my door. I saw that beside Beta Alyx's room there was Alpha Lucian's room.. So that's why my wolf went crazy just now. I saw as Alpha Lucian's room started to open slowly, and I quickly opened my room's door and made my way in with a sprint.
I closed the door behind me, I let out a long sigh and I started to walk toward my bed. I jumped onto my bed and started to look at the ceiling.
I run a hand down in my hair in frustration. What should I do? As I was thinking, I slowly got tired and blinking my eyes was harder. It was even more difficult to try to make them open every time I blinked, but as the time got by, my eyelashes felt heavier and slowly I fell asleep.
—Few hours later—
I slowly opened my eyes as I heard a knock on my door. I groaned as I moved in my bed, I looked at the time and it was 8.00 a.m. Yesterday the meeting ended at 5.00 p.m. and I got out from there around 5.30 p.m. Maybe I fell asleep around 6.00 but I'm not sure.
I slowly turned over in bed and I closed my eyes. As I almost fell asleep, I heard the knock again but it was louder than the last one. I opened my eyes and sat up
"What?!" I shouted
"What is it?!" I didn't stop. Can't they let me sleep? Then the door opened and I looked at it. Emily comed in
"Emily?" I asked confused
"What are you doing here? You only wake up at 9.30 a.m, so why are you up now?" I asked as I raised my eyebrow, she sighs "My dad waked me up, that I should go and work. I went to the alpha and luna and they said there is nothing to do so I can wake you up and do something" she said, I lay down in the bed and I groaned
"Why..? Why can't I just sleep once?" I asked and Emily laughed at me "Dude you slept like 10 or more hours and that's not enough for you? I got to bed at 10.00 p.m" she said and I let out a low chuckle
"That's true" I said, Emily came closer and sat down on the bed next to me. We started to speak about things and about our parents, and time passed fast. We didn't even notice but we were speaking with each other for more then two hours now.
"I should go now" she said as she got up "Okay.. Then we will speak later" I said and she left my room, and I left my room too.
—Few hours later—
All day I was trying to avoid Alpha Lucian, I didn't want to meet with him now...
As I was walking upwards to my room. I noticed Beta Alyx speaking to someone. I looked closer trying to see who it was, and my eyes widened. It was Alpha Lucian, as I stepped back Alpha Lucian looked up at me, and gave me a smirk and waved at me.
The world froze around me, as I looked into his eyes, I didn't know what to do so I just started to run.
As I ran I heard heavy footsteps behind me, but before I could even try to turn to the stairs to run down I was pulled back forcefully by the arm.
I squeezed my eyes shut at the sudden pull. I could feel that I was pushed to a door. I think it's my door because it's the only door that is next to the stairs. I slowly opened my eyes and I looked up at the man who pushed me to my own door. I saw Alpha Lucian's red shaded eyes, just like last time.
"I got you little mate"
his authority tone sent a shiver down my spine and I could notice that his eyes turned back to their original colour in a second. He leaned down to my ear
"This is your room's door, correct?" he whispered as I could feel his breath against my skin. It was a weird but pleasant sensation, and I don't know why. He moved his hand beside my side and put his hand on the door handle and opened it. I almost fell backwards to the floor.
