Chapter 37 - Chapter 37: Ripples Beyond the Field

A new morning dawned over Munich, crisp and full of promise.

For most teenagers, it was just the beginning of another school year —a return to classrooms, homework, and quiet routines.

But for Mateo González Schwarz, things felt different.

He wasn't just another student anymore.

As he walked through the gates of his school, backpack slung over one shoulder, he immediately noticed the stares.

Whispers followed him down the hallway.

"That's the kid from Bayern's U17 team!"

"Did you see his goal? It's all over Insta and TikTok!"

"He plays just like Messi!"

Even some teachers paused longer than usual when taking attendance.

His classmates, usually indifferent, now looked at him with a mix of awe and curiosity.

A few bold ones even approached him during lunch, asking for pictures or signatures.

Mateo handled it the best he could —polite, humble, slightly overwhelmed.

He was still Mateo.

Still the boy chasing a dream.

But now,the world had started to notice.

Across Munich — and far beyond —the clip of his legendary goal had gone viral.

Shared by Bayern youth accounts.Analyzed by football fan pages.Even discussed briefly on a late-night sports show.

"Remember the name," the commentator had said."Mateo González Schwarz — the new spark of Bayern's future?"

But not everyone watching was just a casual fan.

In a quiet, elegant house on the outskirts of the city, a girl with golden hair sat cross-legged on her bed, a tablet in her hands.

Her emerald-green eyes shimmered with excitement as she replayed the clip again and again.

The same mysterious blonde girl from the stadium.

She smiled, her heart beating a little faster.

"Incredible," she whispered to herself.

The way Mateo moved —the way he dribbled, fought, finished —it reminded her of her idol.

Lionel Messi.

But there was something else, too.

Something raw, fresh, uniquely his own.

Without wasting time, she stood up and headed downstairs.

Her father was sitting in his home office, a neat desk cluttered with papers, football magazines, and scouting reports.

"Papa," she said, entering.

"I think I found someone you need to watch."

The man — middle-aged, sharp-eyed, dressed casually but neatly — looked up from his laptop.

"Another 'prodigy', Klara?" he teased with a soft chuckle.

"No, Papa, really," she insisted, handing him the tablet.

"Watch this."

He pressed play.

For the next minute, silence filled the room.

He watched Mateo weave through defenders, finishing with that elegant, audacious chip over the goalkeeper.

When the clip ended, the man leaned back, eyebrows slightly raised.

"Not bad," he murmured."Very raw… but the instincts are real."

"Who is he?"

"Mateo González Schwarz," Klara replied."He just joined Bayern Munich's U17 team."

The man nodded, tapping a note into his phone.

"Good catch," he said approvingly."We'll keep an eye on him.Maybe even feature him someday if he continues to grow."

Klara smiled, satisfied.

As she turned and left the room, her father returned to his work.

Reports. Player evaluations. News from around Germany.

He was, after all, a key figure —a senior manager in the youth division ofKicker Sportmagazin, Germany's most prestigious football publication.

A phone buzzed.

"Herr Wagner? The new edition of the magazine is ready. Shall we send it for your review?"

"Yes, send it now," he replied, distracted — still replaying Mateo's goal in his mind.

"And also..." he added thoughtfully,"keep an eye on Bayern's U17s in the next few weeks.I think we might have a story brewing."
