Chapter 183 - [184]: Submission

Seeing her expression, which seemed to be stifling laughter, Tsuna quickly waved her off. "No thanks, I'm still a 'little' confident in myself..."

Seeing this, Shizuka didn't insist. "Okay, if you have any questions, just let me know."

After putting a piece of fish into her mouth, she added, "By the way, I'm telling you, your dad and I won't be able to help you with this idea."

"I wasn't planning on asking you for help anyway," Tsuna said, feeling a bit speechless.

But he could understand his mother's point; after all, she must have thought he was just writing for fun.

"That's fine."

"But I have to use Dad's computer in his study," Shizuka said decisively. "I can't make that decision. Talk to him when he gets home from work."

He had some important documents on his computer, so he had to wait until he got home to ask before making a decision.

"Yeah," Tsuna nodded, and seeing that he had asked almost everything, he quickened his pace.

The next day

"I'll buy you a laptop tomorrow when I get off work."

Tsuna recounted the lunch incident during dinner. He didn't receive any encouragement, but he did receive a limited-time laptop.

Shizuka said he was still young, so he could only write the first volume of his light novel and then submit it online.

Tsuna didn't mind, so Daisuke abandoned the idea of buying him a laptop.

He decided to bring him an older, less-used model from the office tomorrow.

---

The next morning

Shouko arrived early in the morning and, seeing someone still napping, she lay down on him without hesitation, asking, "Tsuna, I heard from your aunt that you want to write a light novel and submit it tomorrow, right?"

Tsuna's soft snores echoed.

Shouko, unfazed, narrowed her eyes slightly, reached out her right hand, and wrapped it around the person's gentle, now somewhat firm, arm. She leaned against him, sniffing the faint scent of shower gel from his early morning shower, and then joined him in his nap.

She hadn't finished her period yet, so she was still a patient. It wasn't too much to hold him for a nap, right?

"Bang... bang... bang... bang...!"

After an indefinite amount of time, Tsuna was woken by a series of crackling sounds outside.

He almost jumped when he opened his eyes. If he hadn't slept with him yesterday and was somewhat used to it, he would have been startled by the sudden appearance of Shouko next to him.

Who would understand? He took a nap, and when he opened his eyes, there was a sleeping girl beside him.

"Wake up, Shouko." Tsuna reached out and poked the girl's soft cheek without hesitation.

Seeing no reaction, he unceremoniously pinched one of Shouko's cheeks and pulled it away.

"Pah..."

Shouko, dazed, slapped his hand away, rubbing her eyes with her other hand.

"Why didn't you wake me up when you came to see me?"

"I heard from Auntie that you want to write a light novel and submit it tomorrow, right?" Shouko answered the question irrelevantly.

"Yeah." Tsuna nodded and asked in confusion, "You have this plan, what's wrong?"

Shouko looked him straight in the eyes: "If Auntie hadn't told me today, I wouldn't have known about this.

Why didn't you tell me yesterday?"

Tsuna looked away, looking at the ceiling, trying to pull back the hand she was resting on, but failed.

"I haven't written it yet, have I? If you find out later, it would be so embarrassing if my submission doesn't pass."

Shouko shook her head quickly, denying his statement: "No, if you don't pass, I can still comfort you.

I believe that all the stories you told me since I was a child will pass, whether it's 'Your Lie in April' or 'Anohana: The Flower We Saw That Day' and so on... And I don't want to be the last to know."

Tsuna glanced at her out of the corner of his eye, wondering if the last part of Shouko's words was the key...

"If I tell you after it's over, wouldn't that be a surprise?" Tsuna changed the subject.

Shouko sat up in bed, looked back at him lying there, and shook her head. "I don't want any surprises, I just want to not be the last to know."

Oh... the change of subject failed...

"Yeah." Tsuna looked into her brown eyes and nodded seriously.

Then he muttered softly, "Yuzuru and the others don't know yet, how can you be the last?"

"Pah..." Someone, who had been slapped in the stomach, lay in bed, lifeless and refusing to get up.

Shouko swiftly fled his room after slapping him.

Finally, seeing that he was still not coming down, Shouko thought she had hit him too hard, so she sneaked upstairs to check.

Then, seeing that he had fallen asleep again, she couldn't help but hit him on the forehead.

"That's too much, Shouko."

"Then bounce back." Shouko made a face at him and ran downstairs again.

Tsuna was completely sleepless because of her, so he had to get up and go downstairs obediently.

---

"Done!"

Tsuna, who was sitting by the coffee table in the living room, looked at the dense fonts on the laptop screen and could not help snapping his fingers.

He was just one step away from submitting the manuscript online. "Let me take a look, let me take a look." Upon hearing this, Shizuka wanted to lean over.

But she was stopped by Tsuna.

Shizuka suppressed her curiosity when she saw this. Although she wanted to take a look, her own brat wouldn't give it to her, so she could only respect his privacy.

Anyway, she could take a look at whether it passed or not, so there was no need to rush.

"Have you decided which publishing house to submit to?" Shizuka was also a little curious about this question.

"Five Leaf Publishing House, right?" Tsuna hesitated and said lightly.

When he had decided to write a novel, he had searched for these publishing houses. Now, the only one that is close to his home and has a relatively large reputation is Futaba Publishing House.

"This one is not bad either. They have cooperated with your father's office several times." Shizuka touched her chin and nodded.

"So?"

"But don't think about it. I said I will not provide any help for your decision, and I will not provide any help."

"That's not what I meant." Tsuna was a little speechless.

After the voice fell, he no longer paid attention to his mother, took out his mobile phone and found the email submission number of Futaba Publishing House.

The operation was successful in two or three steps, and the first volume of "Anohana: The Flower We Saw That Day" that he had written in the past two or three days was sent over.

But soon he received an automatic reply from the other party.

"Thank you for your submission. We will give you a reply within a week. Thank you for your support."

The general content was the meaning of this paragraph. Tsuna glanced and retracted his gaze. Next, he just had to wait quietly.
