Chapter 8 - Chapter 8: past bonds

Still struck by cupid's arrow, time froze between Tiger and the girl he was staring at. Benjamin tapped his head, bringing him back to reality. "Yeah, lover boy, your stare may just get you killed," Benjamin said, placing his arm around Tiger.

Tiger looked at the crowd, feeling their piercing gaze. "I see, sorry," he said, turning back to his drink with a light blush. Benjamin giggled beside him. "Oh, is that a smile I see?"

Before Tiger could respond, he was tapped on the back. He turned to see the girl from the stage behind him, catching him off guard. "How may I help you?" Tiger stammered.

"Are you Tiger, Tiger Timberlake?" the girl asked, her eyes sparking memories of a childhood friend. "Rose," Tiger said, standing up slowly. "Rose Summervil..."

The girl jumped into a tight hug, tears rolling down her eyes. "You still remember? It's been ages, hasn't it?" Tiger felt the gaze of the men fall on him, unsure how to react.

Another girl emerged from the curtains, with black curly hair and purple eyes, wearing the same outfit as Rose. "Hey, Rose, you can catch up on your past memories later. We have a show to do."

Rose quickly let go of Tiger, wiping away her tears. "Sorry, just got caught up in the moment," she said, adjusting her clothes. "Enjoy the show, and let's catch up later, okay?" She waved goodbye as she headed back.

Tiger raised his hand in response, also noticing the other girl's unwelcoming gaze. Benjamin teased, "Are you planning on building a harem while looking at another girl?"

Tiger looked at Benjamin, confused. "Huh? Oh, sorry, I was lost in thought. What did you say?" Benjamin burst into laughter. "Of course, now you're dumbstruck."

Tiger clenched his fist, giving Benjamin a gentle knock on the head. "Payback for laughing," he said with a smile. "But thanks, you're a good person."

Benjamin stretched out his fist for a bump. "Person, not friend? Sheesh, what happened to your humanity? We're friends now, come on." Tiger smiled, bumping fists with Benjamin. "Yeah, thanks, buddy."

The girls and the band began their song, and every guy in the building started smiling and singing along. Tiger and Benjamin engaged in a drinking competition, both knocking themselves out after five shots. However, Tiger remained conscious, unable to drink more.

As the guys laughed and the air turned peaceful, Tiger thought to himself, "I wish my life was like this every day." Before long, he fell asleep, surrounded by the lively atmosphere.
