For five days, Madam Pomfrey had restricted Dumbledore from questioning Harry. She had allowed Harry to inform Dumbledore that the school was indeed safe again, and that was it.
The first day of recovery had been the hardest. Harry had apparently suffered more damage to the head than he'd realized, and had only remained awake because of adrenaline, Madam Pomfrey explained.
Ginny spent the first day fading in and out, but whenever she was awake, she begged for Harry to hold her. Madam Pomfrey had initially refused, but by the end of the day, Harry and Ginny were sharing a single hospital bed.
During this first day, no visitors were allowed, family or otherwise.
———
On the second day, family were admitted.
Lily, of course, was there, but Sirius had managed to talk his way in by claiming godfather rights. Bella and Andromeda had been unable to convince Madam Pomfrey, though, and went back to work under protest. Dumbledore had personally promised that they'd be able to see Harry the next day.
The Weasleys came in to visit Ginny, and there were a lot of them. Ron, Fred, George, and Percy were the obvious ones, but Ginny's parents came as well, along with her two oldest brothers.
Ginny's mum, Molly, had not liked seeing her only daughter sharing a bed with Harry, and laying wrapped in his arms, but Madam Pomfrey had explained that medically, Ginny was better when she was in Harry's arms. She could not explain why, however.
Harry rather liked the majority of the Weasleys, Ron and Percy excluded.
Molly was a gorgeous MILF, with very large breasts that were evident despite Molly's generally unflattering clothes, and she had some rather thick, sexy curves. No wonder her husband, Arthur, kept knocking her up, Harry thought wryly.
Once Molly learned what exactly went down in the Chamber, and how Harry had saved Ginny's life, she instantly warmed to Harry, and he found himself receiving a long, tight hug from the exceptionally busty ginger MILF.
Sirius got along well with Fred and George, the three of them like three peas in a pod.
Lily and Molly struck up an unexpected friendship as well, and Harry got an unwelcome image of the two red-haired MILFs pleasuring him together. Merlin, his brain was all about threesomes these days.
Right before dinner, Madam Pomfrey shooed everyone out, and Harry and Ginny had a quiet night together.
They'd spent a lot of time talking together over the last two days, and Harry had been trying to convince her that being possessed wasn't her fault, that all of the Petrified students weren't her fault either.
———
On the third day, Madam Pomfrey opened the door to friends. Lily, Molly, and Arthur all returned, and Bella and Andromeda came to see Harry first thing, both of them glaring daggers at Madam Pomfrey.
Classes had been canceled, so students came in waves to see Harry and Ginny, but the majority seemed to be there to see Harry.
Susan, Gabrielle, Cassandra, and Astoria had come first, right after breakfast. They'd spent an hour or two with Harry, and Gabrielle and Astoria also checked up on Ginny, as, true to their word, they did seem to know Ginny a little from classes.
Throughout the day, a crowd of women came in and out.
Nym, though busy with her Auror stuff, popped in during her lunch break.
Parvati and Padma Patil, joined by Lavender Brown, came twice, once before lunch and once after.
Mandy Brocklehurst, Su Li, Hannah Abbott, Megan Jones, Fay Dunbar, and Sophie Roper all came to visit, who were various classmates of Harry's. Mandy, Fay, and Sophie were most passionate, and Harry received kisses on the cheek from all of them.
Blaise and Pansy came to visit together, and Harry had enjoyed talking with them.
During lunch time, when only Lily, Molly, and Arthur were in the hospital wing, a first year girl by the name of Luna Lovegood had come to visit Ginny.
Luna was a very interesting girl. She was quite pretty, with pale blond hair and a very petite figure. She was also rather… out there, in terms of, uh, everything.
Apparently, she knew Ginny from Charms class, and was a Ravenclaw.
Harry had found her amusing, and rather enjoyed her visit, where she talked about random things like Wrackspurts, Nargles, and Crackle-Horned Snorkels or something. He didn't think any of them were real, but Luna was pretty fun to talk to regardless.
Tracey Davis came after lunch with Astoria and Pansy. Pansy was much warmer without Blaise here, and, like always, Pansy confused the hell out of Harry, but Tracey and Astoria were both great to talk to.
Harry was almost glad when Madam Pomfrey banned visitors for the day, as he felt rather spent after all of that. Harry made the mistake of telling Madam Pomfrey that, which only made her more uptight.
After that night's talking, Ginny seemed much happier, and her guilt seemed to have been lessened for now.
———
The fourth day was quiet, almost certainly because of Harry's slip up.
Only parents were allowed in, and Arthur had had to work, so it was just Lily and Molly. The two women spent all day there, and Harry and Ginny enjoyed the quiet with just their mothers.
Lily and Molly both fawning over Harry only brought back those vivid fantasies of a threesome again, but he did his best to squash those down.
It was on this day that, noting how attached Harry and Ginny had grown, Molly invited Harry over to the Weasleys' house whenever he wanted. Ginny had insisted he come at some point, and Harry had agreed.
On this night, Madam Pomfrey had split Harry and Ginny up, not allowing them to share a bed like they had nearly their entire recovery process, save for part of the first day and whenever they used the bathroom or showered.
Harry had been fine with the separation, but Ginny suffered from vivid nightmares all night, until Harry couldn't help but join Ginny in her bed. She had instantly cuddled to his chest and slept, not entirely peacefully, but it was at least better.
———
On the fifth day, Madam Pomfrey had finally allowed Dumbledore in.
Harry and Ginny were in separate beds again, as whenever Ginny was awake, she had no issues being separated from Harry, it was the nightmares he helped her deal with somehow.
Dumbledore spent many hours there, slowly going through the events of the Chamber. Harry held nothing back, from how he worked out the entrance all the way up to Seleia, who Dumbledore started planning to remove from the Chamber and take to Potter Estate.
Then, Ginny told her story. She spoke of the trauma she'd endured all year, of how she slowly came to realize she was possessed, but she realized too late to stop Riddle from overtaking her. She spoke of how Riddle had used his dark magic to bend a Slytherin student to his will, getting him to reveal the password to Ginny. She spoke of how he'd used her body to open the Chamber, of how she'd been used as a weapon against all of the chickens, how she'd had to snap all of their necks.
It was here that she had some kind of traumatic flashback, and Harry had joined her in her bed. Dumbledore left while Ginny was going through this, but Harry remained with her throughout the duration of her flashback.
When she came out of it, she was drained and weak.
Madam Pomfrey explained that physically, Ginny was fine, but she would suffer from mental scars caused by the possession for years to come.
Harry silently promised to himself that he would do everything possible to help Ginny through these scars, as Voldemort was his responsibility, and Voldemort's victims were Harry's to help.
———
A month passed. Classes resumed at some point, but Harry and Ginny were both exempt. Neither was confined to the hospital wing any longer, and Madam Pomfrey encouraged them both to get out into nature.
Them being exempt gave them lots of time together, and they were joined by Susan, Gabrielle, Astoria, Tracey, the Patil twins, etc. etc. whenever they had free time.
As things drew nearer to June, the Mandrakes started to fully mature, but to Harry's disappointment, Dumbledore instructed the first inflicted be the first healed, which meant fucking Mrs. Norris was the first one to come out of Petrification.
On the day of Daphne and Hermione's dePetrification, Dumbledore held the end of year feast.
Harry was overjoyed to have the two girls back, and that feast was an amazing one. The rule about House segregation was lifted, which meant Harry's friends from all four Houses sat together. It was a loud, raucous feast.
Despite the absolute hell that this year had been, it ended in a pretty great way, Harry had to admit.
But when his gaze fell on a certain blue-eyed blond, his heart rate sped up. Harry didn't realize just how much he cared about Daphne Greengrass until he lost her.
He didn't plan on losing her again.
