Joseph's voice lowered, almost a whisper.
š THE HOUSE OF WILLIAMS AFTER THE MASSACRE
"When I walked inside," Joseph said,
"the entire William mansion was silentā¦
like a graveyard."
Amber sat in the middle of the hall.
Blood everywhere.
Furniture broken.
Bodies gone still.
And Amberā
sitting on the sofa like a queen from hell.
Her hair was messy.
Her bridal cloth torn.
Her hands stained.
Her eyes blood-red from hours without blinking.
But not a single tear.
She wasn't crying.
She was empty.
Yet dangerous.
Her gaze was fixed on the wallā
unmoving, cold, dead.
Joseph swallowed.
"It was the most dangerous place I have ever stepped into," he said.
"And she⦠she was the most dangerous woman I had ever seen." šØ
The children hugged their blankets.
---
š„ "Why did she kill everyone?"
Emily whispered, voice trembling.
Joseph nodded.
"Remember what I told you?"
"Amber sis was too intelligent.
Scary intelligent."
"She just needs to look at a room onceā
at the expressions, the way things are placedā
and she can predict everything that happened."
"And the worst part?"
"She's always right." š
---
š„ WHO DIED?
Thomas gulped.
"So⦠who was the dead girl?"
Joseph closed his eyes.
"ā¦Rachel."
His voice softened.
Amber's little sister.
The one she raised like her own child.
The room went silent.
Even Lussy, who always complained, didn't speak.
---
š„ AND THE MAN?
Lussy asked, voice small but angry:
"Who⦠who was the man⦠the one who"
Joseph looked at her.
"ā¦Natalie's husband."
All the kids froze.
Lussy covered her mouth.
Emily's hands shook.
Even Thomas flinched.
---
š WHAT THEY FOUND
"When we arrived," Joseph continued,
"We found Rachel's body only because Amber covered her gently."
"She didn't rage blindly."
"She killedā¦"
"ā¦because she knew exactly who destroyed Rachel."
Natalie survivedā
barely.
She was found locked in a room, terrified and injured.
Jonathan carried her out himself once he woke up three days later.
---
š AFTER THE BIRTH
Joseph sighed.
"Amber sis gave birth to Justin early⦠too early."
"She didn't even hold him.
Not even once."
"She left him in the hospital."
"Within one hour of laborā
she disappeared."
The kids were silent.
Their hearts heavy.
Justin slowly looked down at his own hands.
His jaw clenched, but he didn't cry.
He was used to pain.
Eric turned slightly and slipped his small hand into Justin's.
Justin squeezed back, gently.

Joseph ended the chapter softly:
"ā¦And the restāyou already know."
