Chapter 3 - 03 - The 48th Defeat?

In Shin's eyes, Tsunade was part of the evil Senju clan, so she was the evil Tsunade.

If it weren't for your granduncle, would I be in this situation?

Who could tolerate their enemy acting coy in front of them? But she wasn't really being coy, it just looked that way a little, and she wasn't doing it on purpose.

For a ninja to bully an ordinary person without reason within their own village went against Konoha's ninja code.

Moreover, Shin had never gone out of his way to provoke her; she had been the one causing trouble from the start, which made her actions even more overbearing.

In fact, when she grabbed his hand earlier, it was against her personal principles, she wasn't the type to bully the weak.

But you couldn't really blame her for losing control, Shin was just too infuriating. He had been insulting her the entire way, throwing out all kinds of strange, nasty remarks.

He had made a name for himself five years ago. Since then, more and more people had praised his medical skills, calling him Konoha's number one medical-nin.

Tsunade, feeling indignant, became determined to outdo him. Gifted in medical ninjutsu since childhood, she had always aimed to become the number one medical-nin in the entire shinobi world, there was no way she could tolerate someone, especially someone her own age, surpassing her in skill.

Back then, she was only 12, a spoiled princess who hadn't yet experienced the harshness of war. She pretty much ran wild in Konoha. So in her frustration, she directly challenged him to a contest of medical skill.

And over the next five years, she never once beat him, she lost 47 times in a row. Each time she lost, he would mock her mercilessly, driving her into a rage.

Gritting her teeth in frustration after each defeat, she swore to one day defeat him fair and square in a medical showdown.

Rubbing her sore wrist, Shin looked at Tsunade with a scornful gaze and asked, "So, you still want to compete?"

Seeing his attitude, her temper flared again and she snapped, "What do you think I'm here for today?"

"Who knows?" Shin replied dismissively. "You show up at the hospital to bully a defenseless man, such majestic presence, Lady Tsunade. If you can't handle losing, maybe don't play the game."

Tsunade's face turned red with anger. She gritted her teeth and shouted, "It's all because you pissed me off!"

"I pissed you off? Fine, I'm too lazy to explain."

"Savage," he suddenly said with mock seriousness. "So? Are you ready to cry your eyes out today?"

"Oh right!" As if he just remembered something, he added, "Make sure not to cry in the hospital today. Wait till you get home."

"When have I ever cried? Explain yourself!" This time, Tsunade looked genuinely wronged, on the verge of tears. She had indeed lost all 47 times, but she had never cried. She wasn't someone who couldn't take a loss.

But Shin, in front of everyone, spread the false rumor that she had cried, stating it like it was fact. It drove her insane.

"Fine, fine, you never cried, never cried," Shin said perfunctorily. "Hear that? Lady Tsunade has never cried after losing to me. Don't go spreading nonsense."

But the way he said it only made it seem more like she actually had cried. At that moment, Tsunade was trembling with rage, as if she might really burst into tears. Seeing this, Shin felt refreshed and genuinely happy.

Your granduncle died and I've had to suffer for all these years. Isn't it fair for me to collect a bit of interest now? Besides, I never came looking for trouble, you came willingly to me. Who can you blame?

Blame Tobirama!

Thinking of the Second Hokage, a crazy idea suddenly popped into his mind.

What if I take her for myself… and then use Edo Tensei to bring him back to life, how mad would that make him?

He might actually die of anger even in his reanimated state. Just thinking about it is so damn satisfying!

But he was only fantasizing, he would never actually do such a thing.

Marrying the evil princess of the Senju clan? Just the thought of it made his skin crawl. And then how would he keep teasing her for fun?

After all, messing with her was one of his few forms of entertainment.

"Now say it, how are we competing?" he said seriously, eager to finish this farce and return to his pretend training.

"Hmph!" Tsunade snorted coldly, speaking with frustration. "I'll treat the hand, you treat the foot. Let's see whose healing works better."

The patient she picked was a Konoha construction worker who had fallen from a height and broken one hand and one foot. He'd already been in the hospital for three days after receiving initial treatment. This showed that today's competition was premeditated, she had chosen her target well in advance.

"Ladies first, savage," Shin said with a mocking flourish, stepping aside and gesturing for her to begin.

Tsunade clenched her teeth, took a few deep breaths, then ignored him and stepped forward to quickly remove the bandages wrapped around the patient's hand. But instead of starting treatment immediately, she began unwrapping the bandage on her own forehead, revealing a blue diamond-shaped seal.

Holy shit!

Shin was shocked. Has she lost her mind? Or was she so enraged by me that she created the Yin Seal five or six years ahead of time? But that wasn't all, she then performed a summoning jutsu, and a slug the size of a human head appeared.

After finishing all that, she closed her eyes and took a deep breath.

When she opened them again, she placed the patient's hand over the slug. Chakra, precisely controlled, surged through the slug into the patient's broken bones. At the same time, an intense and concentrated stream of chakra flowed from the diamond mark on her forehead into her palm, merging with the chakra she was channeling from her hand.

Finally, she used Mystical Palm Technique, placing her right hand on the fracture and her left hand atop the right to better control the chakra output.

He was speechless, she had just gone full throttle from the get-go.

Isn't this cheating? Using all her big guns just to show me up? And it's not like having a summoning beast would help, I can't summon a damn slug anyway.

Despite the pressure from her all-out performance, he could tell she had truly been provoked, pushed to her limit and seeing red, she was going all-in.

After more than ten minutes, Tsunade, clearly fatigued, withdrew her chakra and stepped back. Nervously, she asked the patient, "How do you feel?"

The patient focused on his arm, and was stunned. He carefully raised his hand, didn't feel any pain, and excitedly gave it a shake.

Healed? This was nothing short of a medical miracle!

Feeling no discomfort, only relief, the patient shouted with emotion, "Thank you, Lady Tsunade! I think my hand is completely healed!"

"Yes! That's awesome!" Tsunade jumped with joy, then gave Shin a smug, taunting look and said proudly, "Let's see how you plan to beat me today!"

"Heh." Shin shot her a dismissive glance and replied casually, "You think you're the only one who's improved? As it happens, I've recently developed a new medical jutsu. Today, I'll make sure you lose again, completely convinced this time."
