The Land of Death…
Nolan stopped at the edge of the abyss and stared at the large, pulsating cocoon floating in the middle of it.
"It should be time."
Just as he said that, the cocoon trembled before suddenly bursting open. Malverna slowly emerged from within.
"Ugh…" she groaned, rubbing her temples. "Where am I?"
"You're awake?"
A teasing voice came from in front of her. She looked up and was surprised to see Nolan.
"Y-You…" Her eyes narrowed slightly. "Nolan?"
Nolan was stunned.
"You remember me?"
"What do you mean?"
Malverna was confused by his words. She flew toward him and landed in front of him.
"Everyone has forgotten me, but it turns out you haven't. That's really… surprising," Nolan said.
For a moment, he had thought he would have to explain his identity to Malverna.
Fortunately, that wasn't necessary. The amnesia hadn't affected her.
"Forgotten you?"
Three question marks seemed to hover above Malverna's head.
