"Waaah! I want to see Master!"
Eira sobbed, kicking her little legs helplessly.
"But Master isn't here right now, Eira. He won't be back for a while."
Obsidia, sitting beside her, tried to calm her down. However, Eira didn't seem to hear her and continued crying loudly.
Obsidia massaged her temples. It had been two months since Nolan left, and Eira had cried like this every single day.
She had never taken care of a child before. As a result, the past two months had felt like pure torture.
"Is Eira crying again?"
A calm voice came from behind her.
Obsidia turned around and saw Malverna walking toward her.
It was as if she had just seen her savior. She hurried to her and grabbed both of Malverna's hands.
"Malverna, please take my place!" she pleaded. Desperation was written all over her beautiful face. "I really can't take care of Eira anymore! She cries all day and keeps asking for Nolan! I'm at my limit! Please?"
