Nolan gently smoothed her hair before replying, "That big black monster you saw in the distance—the Singularity appeared to defeat it. I happened to be stranded there, and he rescued me."
Elina flinched, recalling the appearance of the massive black hole. She hadn't seen the Singularity of Chaos at the time, but she knew that figure had indeed appeared and fought against the mysterious monster.
Back then, she had thought the Singularity of Chaos would show himself before her—but he didn't. She never saw him at all, which left her feeling like she had overestimated herself.
