The car was awfully silent as Louis was on his phone and Tabitha was just looking outside the window. Louis wasn't comfortable even though he pretended not to show it.
" Can you drop the act now?" He said
" Yeah, sure" she said taking off the necklace, earrings, leg chain and hand chain off immediately and she let out a sigh of relief
" Goodness, I'm famished. I haven't had time to eat today" she said to herself but he heard her
" So tell me, your main agenda?" He asked
" What do you mean?"
" What's behind your acting?"
" Acting?, you think I was acting?" She said and he scoffed
" Are you ready to talk or not?" He asked but she kept mute staring at the window
" Stop the car" he said to the driver and he halt
" What's wrong?" She asked
" Get out" he said
" You can't drop me in the middle of nowhere" she said
" Get out!" He yelled and she immediately got out
" That was rude" she said as the car zoomed off
" Where do I know I'm going?" She thought as she walked on the street
Suddenly a realization hit her that she was all alone. She had no family, no one she can trust and now she was leaving someone else life and lying to the person loved ones as well. She didn't even know if the real Tabitha was safe, if she missed being with her family or was looking for a way to come back to her family.
Back in Rosa hometown, the real Tabitha now known as Rosa was taking into a big mansion. She was locked in her room, with her hands tied and her face covered. Just then some men came to move her again and she heard a familiar voice. It was the man in black voice.
" Here she is" the man in black said and the took off her blindfold
She saw an handsome looking man in sitting front of her. She looked around the room, it was a beautiful luxurious house which meant he had money. She muffled as she tried to speak but her mouth was covered with cloth
" Let her speak" the man said and the released it from her mouth
" You've got the wrong person, I'm not Rosa. I'm Tabitha, Tabitha Lon, wife of Yu" she said
" What did you give her?" The man asked doing signs
" We think she must have hit her head in the process of escaping" the black suit man said
" Rosa, I don't know the kind of game you're playing here but don't you want to know why you're here" the man said
" I'm not Rosa"
" I'm Dairies, does that name ring a bell?" The man asked
" No, I don't know any of you"
" I'm Davis elder brother, your boyfriend's elder brother" he added
" Why would you kidnap your brother's girlfriend?" She asked
" Exactly the question I needed to hear, why would you kill my dad and Grandpa, why would you kidnap me, why would you do all you did. Well, it's all for our revenge. Both of us revenge my dear"
" What are you talking about?"
" Those monsters aren't your family, you aren't their blood. They only took you in because they actually killed your own family"
" What?"
" Yes, they killed you mother, your father, your sister and they tried to kill your brother as well"
" What do you mean they tried?"
" They thought he was died and burnt your whole house down but fortunately my mother was generous enough to come just in time to save him. Though he didn't go unharmed but he's alive, and he is standing right before you"
" You?"
" Not me, him" he said pointing at the man in black suit and she scoffed
" So you're her brother and you dare to treat her this way"
" He had no choice, he tried to save you from those monsters and he has no other way of doing it. Would you have followed him if he just approached you normally?"
" No, but that doesn't mean he should rough handle someone. By the way why is he mute?"
" He's deaf, he can't hear you" Dairies said before giving him hearing aid
" She was talking to you" Dairies said
" You've grown" the man said
" What was the point of removing your hearing aid at first" Rosa said
" I told Dairies to, I didn't want to hear the tragedy story of the past again" he said
" Whatever, can you untie my hand and let me go. I'm not Rosa"
" Yes you're not, you're Ariana" Dairies said
" I'm Adam" the man in black said
" As much as I would love to believe your story, I'm not Arianna, nor Rosa. I'm Tabitha. Search for me anywhere, you'll believe. I'm sure they must be looking for me right now" she said
" Ari, you need to understand that we did what we could" Adam said
" Okay I understand your own revenge part, but what is he's business" she says referring to Dairies
" They killed my mother"
" Huh?"
" My mother was a servant for the Kai family, she was close friends with your mother as well. Your family was in charge of one land they were after but they couldn't get it so they killed your family just for a land that they just abandoned later.."
" Wait a minute, why would they kill everyone and leave the girl"
" To use you, you were young, you were easy to manipulate, easy to lie to. You probably didn't know much then, you won't also remember a thing as well that's why. They lied to you that they were your family and lied that your mother died after giving birth to you. My mother took care of you, me and Adam. We basically grew up together till you knew what was right and wrong then they found out my mother knew everything and she lost her life trying to save us all. They would have killed you back then as well if not because of my mother who begged on our behalf and we fled but you were still useful to them so they kept you. You were just a mere tool to them"
" Nice story but I really need to go to my own family. I have an interview to attend tomorrow morning"
" Untie her" Adam said to one of the girls
" If you're still willing to go after this, you're free but all you wanted in your life is right here. Your true family, to be free from any burden holding you back. It would be just like old days, three of us against the world." Dairis said
" Stay for just one month, if you want to leave then no one will stop you"
" One month?, my whole family will create a ruckus" she said
" You keep saying you're Tabitha Yu, why?"
" Cause I am, me and Rosa or Ari just look so much alike"
" She's not lying, they actually look alike but she's not Tabitha Yu. Tabitha Yu was present at a party with her family today" Adam said checking his phone
" What?, no way" she said collecting his phone to check
" Are you satisfied now, or do you want to keep lying about it. We know you don't believe us and we understand why but just trust us for once. Just this once"
" How?, did that girl take my place?. How will I explain to my family that... Wait a minute, if she took my place they wouldn't even notice I'm gone. I would just stay here for another then, finally I'll be very free from those people. I can do what I actually want, even find true love"
" Just a month trial?"
" Fine, if I'm not fine after a month I would leave"
" Good, I'll show you to your room. You can freshen up and then come for dinner. Then tommorow we can go for shopping for clothes and everything you want, then later you can ..."
" Chill, one by one. You said I'll be free and it looks like you already have everyday planned"
" She's right Adam, I know you really miss your sister but you should give her time to adapt" Dairis said
" Yeah, fine" Adam said
Tabitha sat at the bus stop and rain started pouring down heavily, just then she started sobbing. Her first attempt to try and survive and she already failed, she didn't even know how to get home not where the home is. She tried calling summer but just then her phone died.
Louis freshened up and notice that she wasn't back yet. The house was so peaceful and quiet without her, he sat down to go through some files when he's phone rang.
" Yes mum" he said
" How is Tabitha doing?" Jemima asked
" I don't know"
" What do you mean you don't know, isn't she with you"
" No, she's not"
" What do you mean she's not, you both left together"
" She probably in an hotel or something"
" Summer said she has been trying to get through but her number is switched off"
" She's fine, she must want to rest after a long night"
" Jus check her which hotel she booked in so I'll know she's safe, I'm having a bad feeling" she said and he sighed as he picked up his other phone to text Andre.
" Can you help me look into Tabitha whereabouts, her hotel room?" He wrote
" I've told Andre to check"
Few minutes, Andre replied back
" She didn't book any hotel room under her name nor did she use her card. No money has left her account as well" Andre wrote
" She must be in one of our house or someone's apartment" Louis replied
" What's going on?" She asked
" She's not in any hotel"
" Then where is she?"
" Probably an apartment"
" No one has seen it heard of her, you were the last person she saw" Andre wrote
" Where is she?" She asked and Louis scoffed
" I'll go get her"
" Where is she Louis, what happened?. She was with you so what happened. Didn't you two come home together"
" No"
" Why?"
" I dropped her off somewhere"
" Why, did she ask you to?"
" I sent her out of the car mum, happy" he said and he hang up
" Geez!, what is wrong with this girl?. She keeps adding to my problem" he thought as he took out his coat.
Tabitha decided to find her way, she decided to survive on her own. She stood up from the bus stop and moved on trying to find somewhere to stay for the night. No one was even passing that road, it was looking deserted. She saw a car pass by but she couldn't trust anyone so she kept on moving. She was feeling very dizzy and tired, cold as she was drenched in the rain already but she kept moving forward. She noticed a car a bit behind slowly following her, she turned and the car turned as well. She quickened her pace, she thought it most be one of those guys but as she was about to make her run for it her body betrayed her and she collapsed.
She sunlight shone in her eyes and she opened her eyes gently.
" Close the curtains dad, I'm not ready to go to college" she murmured as she turned the other way
Suddenly she jumped up frightening even the person standing in front of her. She thought she was kidnapped but it was her so called husband standing in front of her already dressed
" Oh, it's you. Wat how did I get here" she said and she noticed that she was dressed in her robe before she was wrapped in the blanket and the heater was on.
" Did you, did you .... OMG!, no" she groaned throwing tantrums like a child
" What is wrong with her?" He thought shaking his head about to leave
" Wait, you...." She sneezed and he stopped in his tracks to look at her
" The doctor will be here today" he said
" Doctor?, for what exactly?" She said sneezing in between and he just stared at her
" I'm fine. Where are you heading to?" She asked but he just ignored her and she jumped out of bed to stop him from leaving but she fell flat on the ground
" Ouch!" She cursed as she tried to stand up
" You're weak, you've done enough. You should rest" he said and left her on the ground
" You know a little help could have done the work, son of a bitch" she cursed and he stopped to look back at her who was struggling to get up
" What exactly are you up to?" He asked and she paused
" Huh?"
" Who are you?" He asked and her heart started beating fast
" Does he knows, has he found out I'm not her. Has the real Tabitha come?" Thoughts running through her mind as the tension in the room grew. Then they was a knock on the door breaking their eye contact. He sighed as he carried her and dropped her on the bed.
" Can I come in?" Summer asked standing outside
" Yes" he said and she came in
" I know you both are hiding something" he said to summer before leaving
" Are you okay?, we were worried about you last night" summer asked
" I'm fine, just a bit tired. What I'm I suppose to do today?" She asked
Louis sat in his car thinking about last night. He went back to where he dropped her off but she wasnt there, he moved a bit forward and saw her walking under the rain. He moved a bit closer to her to see what she was up to but she was moving faster and all of a sudden she collapsed. He came out of the car, he picked her up and gently placed her at the back seat. She was looking very small in his arm, it was the first time he actually carried her. He was driving when he noticed her move but she wasn't awake. She was just muttering something and shaking. He took her upstairs to her room and was about to drop her but she was drenched so he asked one the maid to change her dress. He came back in to check up on her she was very cold, so he put on the heater and wrapped her in her blanket then she started taking out loud.
" No, don't. Don't kill my father, father... Grandma ... Don't leave me I have no one else except you both. Please, don't kill them , don't kill me, I must survive" she said and he looked at her puzzled, she had a troubled look on her face and then tears rolled from her cheeks.
He placed his hand on her head and gently stroked her hair till she calmed down a bit and she held his other hand
" Don't leave me" she muttered
" I... I won't" he said and she seemed so peaceful after that but he couldn't release his hand from hers so he just sat beside her throughout the night watching her sleep so peacefully.
