Chapter 1
Amelia pleaded, "Mommy, Daddy, please wake up," her voice breaking with sobs.
"Please wake up, Mommy. You promised me you'd take me to Disneyland in the Human world. You can't just leave."
She turned to her grandmother,
"Grandma, tell them to wake up."
She sobbed as her parents were taken away, her heart shattering at the sight of their still, motionless, and pale bodies being prepared for burial.
Her parents were pack warriors, and now they were gone. Her grandmother struggled to stay strong in front of her but failed woefully. In the end, they both cried together.
"Amelia, don't cry. Your parents are with the Moon Goddess, and they're happy, so don't be sad," her grandmother's words echoed in her head until…
*Beep Beep Beep*
Amelia groaned, "Uh." It was a dream again, as usual. The pain never healed. She fought back her tears and got out of bed. Today was her eighteenth birthday. Today was going to be her first shift, and she would finally meet her wolf. Today was also the Moon Festival.
Her grandmother always said that she was a blessing from the Moon Goddess. They both shared the same birthday, but Amelia thought it was just a coincidence.

"Hi," a voice said in her head.
"What! Who's that?" she exclaimed.
"It's me, your wolf."
"What! My wolf?" Amelia was so excited. She had forgotten she was getting her wolf today.
"What's your name?" she asked.
She remembered Prince Daniel telling her that his wolf's name was Mike. She wanted to know if hers also had a name.
"Layla," the wolf replied.
Amelia was thrilled. She was finally a full wolf. She couldn't wait to tell her grandmother.
After the Luna died, the Alpha offered Amelia a job in the palace. She couldn't let her grandmother be a burden, so she took her to an old people's home for better care.
Today, Amelia had decided to finally get her own place, and her grandmother would start living with her. At least half of her bullying experience would reduce because there would be no Jason or his friends or maids to torture her.
She would finally be free from bullying, and thank the Moon Goddess she was done with high school. She planned on working in the park house for a year and then moving to the Human world to further her education. She didn't want to stay in Silver Moon Park.
In Silver Moon Park, once you were done with high school, you started working in any department in the park house. The park house was a big house that could house about 500 to 700 werewolves. So once you were done with high school, you either moved into the park house or found your own apartment, then picked your department of choice to start working there. The park house was not just a home for werewolves but also like a higher institution too. There were departments like:
Health care
Decorations
Social workers and lots more
Amelia really applauded the Alpha for taking care of everything in the park. He was a very busy man but always made time for his family and the park too. He was very responsible.
She felt sorry for the Alpha because she was the main reason he couldn't say goodbye to his Luna. If she had known, she would have gone to another pack.
Now, his son hated her, bullied her, and made her life hell. But, oh well, this was her last year, so she could bear it all and finally move away. The only person she would miss when she moved away was Prince Daniel.
He was the only person, apart from the Alpha and Princess Janice, who didn't bully her. He often talked to her when she felt low and would give her gifts sometimes, but she always rejected them.
But first, she would have to inform the Alpha.
As she was approaching the door to go meet the Alpha, a sudden knock hit her door.
She quickly opened it and found the Little Princess of Silver Moon Park right there, with a few maids and the Alpha trailing behind her.
"Good morning, Princess," Amelia greeted respectfully.
"Morning, Amelia," the Princess replied.
Just then, the Alpha walked into the room with the maids.
Amelia was puzzled but remained calm.
"Good morning, Alpha," she bowed.
"Good morning, Amelia," he replied.
"Alpha, please, is there something wrong? Why is everybody here holding things in their hands?" she asked with a confused tone.
"Oh, don't worry, we just came to wish you a happy birthday," he replied.
Amelia was too confused to comprehend anything. How did he know her birthday? She always celebrated her birthday alone or with Prince Daniel. She had made him promise not to tell anyone or make a fuss about it. She really didn't know what was happening.
Sensing her confusion, the Alpha quickly chimed in, "Don't worry, it's all Princess Lily's doing!"
"Princess, how did you know my birthday?" Amelia asked.
"Well, when we played the truth or dare game two weeks ago, I dared you to tell me your birthday, and you told me. So, I wanted to surprise you," Princess Lily replied.
Whoa! And she actually remembered Amelia's birthday. Now that's some smarty-pants.
Just as Amelia was about to ask the Alpha about leaving for an apartment, a maid rushed in with a box saying that it was Jason's gift.
Wait! What? Jason Salvador brought a gift for her? Now this was serious. It must be a prank because the cold Jason she knew was a cold-hearted playboy who made her life hell. She decided to open the box in front of his dad and everyone. It was a letter. It read:
"Dear Amelia Logans,
You've finally used your charm to make my father and sister organize you a damned birthday.
Well, who cares about some fool who always seeks pity from everybody with that face of yours.
I just wanted to wish you the saddest birthday and warn you.
Do you think you can leave this place after a year? Well, screw your plans because you are staying here in this pack with me.
And if you think you're going to escape, then I'll have no choice but to beat up that stinky old grandmother of yours to death.

Tears welled up in Amelia's eyes as she read it.
How could he be so cruel?
She hated him so much.
She couldn't let these tears fall.
She couldn't let everyone know what Jason said.
But, wait! How did he know about her plan?
The only thing that knew about her plan was her diary.
Oh my fucking God! The fucker read her diary.
She would deal with that later.
She just had to tell the Alpha that she was leaving for a new apartment and that she wouldn't work as a live-in maid anymore.
Her grandmother was getting old and she needed to be by her side. So, she would tell him now.
"Um, Alpha, I want to tell you something," she said.
"What's wrong, Amelia?" he asked.
"I'm leaving," she said.
"What!" he exclaimed.
"I mean, I'm getting a new apartment. You know my grandma is getting old and she needs me. So, I'll get an apartment today and I'll start working at the Park house tomorrow," she explained.
"Ok, but we're all going to miss you, especially Lily," the Alpha said worriedly.
"No, I'll get to see her every day. She can come to the Pack house if she wants to see me," Amelia said and patted Lily's head.
"Ok. But you will attend the Moon festival so we can give you a proper goodbye at least," the Alpha said.
"Of course, Alpha, I'll be there," Amelia replied.
"Good, you're free to start going house hunting," the Alpha said.
"Thank you, Alpha," Amelia said.
"It's fine, you need your freedom sometimes, so you're free to go," the Alpha said.
Just then, Lily tugged at Amelia's dress.
"What's wrong, Lily?" Amelia asked.
"I will miss you a lot. I feel like crying right now," Lily said, and Amelia could see tears welling up in her eyes.
"Don't worry, you can come for sleepovers if you want," Amelia replied, mustering up a smile.
"Really!!" Lily exclaimed.
"Yes, sweetie," Amelia said.
"Yay, Daddy, did you hear her? I can go for sleepovers," Lily yelled excitedly.
"Yes, sweetie, now let's cut the cake and then she can go house hunting," the Alpha said.
Lily chimed in again, "Can I go with you?" she pouted cutely.
"Of course you can go with me," Amelia replied.
"Now cut the cake," Lily said.
Amelia cut the cake and everyone sang the birthday song for her. Just as she was about to take a bite, Daniel came running into the room.
"Wait!! Wait!!"
*Pant, Pant*
"You can't take a bite without me," he said, panting.
"I'm sorry I'm late, I was getting the perfect gift for you," he added.
Then, he gave her a big box which she opened right away.
It was a modern bedside reading lamp. It was so beautiful. Everyone watched in awe.
There was another smaller box inside which had a beautiful half-moon necklace and pendant.
"That lamp and necklace come in pairs. I have the other halves with me. When you turn on the lamp here, the other pair also comes on. It's in my room. And the necklace is right here with me," Daniel said as he brought out the other pair from his pocket and joined it to hers, making it look like a full moon.
Amelia instantly loved it.
He helped her wear it around her neck and he wore his.
She wasn't going to lie; she really felt her heart flutter at the act. It made her feel special.
Then she took a bite and fed him a bite too. The caterer was also present, so she cut the cake and distributed it to everyone present. Slowly, everyone began to disperse.
Daniel and Lily helped Amelia clean her room, stuffed the gifts in a corner of the room, and waited outside in the garden for her to change from her maid outfit to her casual outfit.
She wore a large hoodie and her newest jeans. She didn't want to attract any attention and besides, the weather was cold.
She tied her hair into a messy bun, picked up her phone, and dashed out of the room. She was on her way to the garden when she heard a familiar velvety bass voice behind her.
"Hey birthday girl," Jason said.
She just ignored him and kept walking.
"Are you deaf or something?" he said as he took large strides towards her.
He pulled her hand and turned her to face him. She frowned at him and saw that annoyingly handsome face staring back at her.
But something about today was different.
He looked more handsome and there was this sweet, intoxicating
scent coming from him.
She felt like kissing him right then and there.
She felt this hot sensation from his touch.
She suddenly felt wet.
She felt horny all of a sudden. She almost moaned.
It felt so good.
She yanked my hand free from him and ran away.
Surprisingly, he didn't come after her.
She kept replaying his face In my mind. She couldn't stop
thinking about him all of a sudden.
The way he looked at her just now made me some what frightened.
He look as if he was he was about to eat me up. And that look somewhat made her feel even more horny
She had never felt this way about anyone before.
Even when Prince Daniel is always holding her hand,
She had never felt this way with him.
She brushed off those stupid thoughts and ran to the garden.
