Xavier stepped out of Reva's quarters exactly two hours later and walked down the corridor to his own room. The metal doors chimed and slid open to reveal Xalvoria sitting upright on the center of his mattress.
The Empress of the First Pillar wore absolutely nothing. Her crimson hair draped over her pale shoulders to frame her flawless figure under the cabin lights.
Xavier ignored the regal display, crossed the room, dropped onto the mattress beside her, and rolled over to make himself comfortable against the pillows.
"Where did you go?" Xalvoria demanded as she crossed her arms over her chest. "And why are you naked?"
"I had a personal matter to handle," Xavier replied with a careless shrug. "I took care of it."
Xalvoria leaned closer and sniffed. Her crimson eyes narrowed in immediate disgust. "Why do you smell like that?"
"We dropped down to a dustball planet," Xavier said. "The environment was highly toxic and laced with radiation."
