Ethan crossed his arms, eyes still locked on Maxmillian. "What's your next move, then?"
Maxmillian shrugged, drinking mayo from the cup in his hand like it was nothing. "Just lay low," he said, voice slow and even. "Wait for all this shit to calm down. Then I'll change my identity, leave this fucking planet."
Ethan's jaw dropped a little. "What the fuck? What about getting back at Xavier?" His voice was rough, filled with disbelief. "Revenge and all that shit?"
Maxmillian let out a bitter laugh, shaking his head. "The first time I messed with Xavier… I thought I could handle it. Bullying him, making his life miserable. I thought I was smart."
He took another sip, his eyes darkening. "I ended up losing everything. Xavier fucked my girlfriend. Blackmailed my father, manipulated that old bastard until he got himself killed. Then he made me kill Leonardo."
Maxmillian's voice dropped lower, colder. "Now I'm a wanted criminal."
