Chapter 121 - Chapter 121: Hashirama Cells

Chapter 121: Hashirama Cells

On the first day of training, it wasn't even evening, and young Itachi was already trembling, his hands and feet

struggling to make himself look normal.

Apart from a half-hour lunch break, Kakashi had been relentlessly

pushing his potential. Running out of chakra? No problem; he could eat military rations to recover while fighting. Tired hands and feet?

No problem either; as long as he could stand, it meant he still had strength.

As long as it didn't kill you, you trained as if to die.

Kakashi himself had gone through the same process and was intimately familiar with this training regimen. Back then,

White Fang was mostly out on missions and had no time to help him, so he relied entirely on self-discipline.

Becoming stronger wasn't without reason. All external forces could only strengthen the physical body, but

what training truly strengthened were endurance, will, and spirit.

Only when these three were strong was it true strength; everything else was merely superficial.

Kakashi truly wanted to train Uchiha Itachi well, not just because he was a genius, but more importantly,

because he possessed a heart that yearned for peace.

As for whether the Uchiha clan would repeat their past mistakes and be annihilated by Itachi's hand in the future, that he couldn't control.

People always had to make their own choices. The Uchiha clan was indeed more stable in the Land of Rain now compared to Konoha,

a result of the overall environment, but no one knew what the future held.

"Let's go."

"Yes, Sensei."

The youngster followed Kakashi, one step at a time, away from the training grounds. Through today's training,

Kakashi himself recalled that it had been a long time since he had pushed his body to such an extent. Perhaps

it was because his brushes with death had become more frequent, or perhaps because he had the System. In any case, this

was not a good sign.

Thinking to himself, the silver-haired youth also decided to push himself harder and become stronger

before the Land of Lightning battle.

He would develop the functions of that eye tonight.

Leading Uchiha Itachi to the Uchiha compound, where the Uchiha clan head and his wife were home, Kakashi

knocked on the door.

The one who opened the door was not Fugaku or Mikoto as expected, but the strongest among the Uchiha's young generation,

Uchiha Shisui.

Uchiha Shisui, dressed in the Rain Village Anbu uniform, gave the small tachi on his back to Itachi, then joined

the newly formed Rain Village Anbu organization, contributing his strength to the village and his clan.

At the same time, his Mangekyo Sharingan had also recovered. However, he had seen his left eye still bandaged at the banquet yesterday,

so it seemed too quick for him to have taken it off and recovered today.

"Itachi, did you train today?"

Those peach blossom eyes didn't seem overly alluring on a man. After the incident a year ago, Shisui's

personality hadn't changed much, though his habitually gentle smile had become more reserved.

"Mm, Shisui-san, are you looking for Father?"

"No, the Clan Head called for me."

Uchiha Shisui glanced at Kakashi. "Because a very skilled medical-nin came to the village,

my left eye was finally healed."

"Yakushi Nonou?"

Through the doorway, Kakashi saw the woman packing her medical kit.

"Yes. Well, I'll be leaving now. I still have a mission for Lord Yahiko."

"Goodbye, Shisui-san."

As Itachi stepped over the threshold, his legs were too tired to lift, and Kakashi had to steady him.

"Rest tomorrow, continue the day after."

"Yes, Kakashi-Sensei."

The silver-haired youth didn't follow Itachi into the Uchiha clan head's mansion. He waited outside

for a while until Yakushi Nonou finished packing her medical kit, spoke with Fugaku and Mikoto, gave Itachi a

pack of pain-relief patches, and then met him at the door.

It must have been the eye that Fugaku asked her to heal for Uchiha Shisui after the Uchiha banquet.

Kakashi thought silently. Yakushi Nonou, noticing his presence at the door, displayed a heartwarming smile.

"Kakashi, perfect timing, I have something for you."

"What?"

"This."

She pulled a small, portable medical kit from her large medical bag. The kit looked somewhat familiar, as if

someone else had given him something similar before.

"Battles outside can easily lead to injuries. The medicines in this kit can treat most burns

and abrasions, and also stop bleeding."

"Did you prepare this specially for me?"

"Yes, I did."

He was used to that kind of gaze—the gaze one gives a child. This woman looked at Mei Terumi and Sara with the same

expression.

Without hesitation, he accepted the medical kit. However, Kakashi wasn't waiting for her here because of the kit,

but rather because of the person who had just left.

"Did you just perform eye surgery on Uchiha Shisui?"

"Yes, that child's eye seemed to have suffered a severe injury and had been removed before. The one who performed

the surgery for him previously was Nohara Rin. For some unknown reason, when it was re-implanted, there was some infection and rejection

reaction."

"Is it healed?"

"There are still some minor issues, which he'll just have to slowly recover from. The dojutsu power of his injured

eye is clearly much weaker than his right eye."

"Like it can't recover?"

"Recovery is very slow, but it's not impossible to recover."

"Understood."

Walking slowly alongside the white-robed nun on the way back, Kakashi found they were headed in the same direction. The youth, who had been unsure

of her actual medical skill, remembered that Sara was still her student, and couldn't help but ask a couple of questions.

"How is Sara's medical ninjutsu progress?"

"Her progress is very fast; she has an unexpected talent for medical ninjutsu."

"Is that so?"

"That child works very hard. That portable medical kit is also partly her achievement."

"Mm."

"By the way, are you and that girl on very good terms?"

"Why? Is there a problem?"

"Girls' minds are very delicate. Even though you're also a child, you should pay more attention to her.

I heard she used to be the queen of a country; there must be a significant sense of disparity now that she's an ordinary person."

"...I think I know more about that than you do."

With her eyes crinkled in a smile, the white-robed nun looked somewhat comical holding the large medical bag. Kakashi, with only a

small medical kit in his hand, felt like something was off.

So, why not just put it in a scroll and carry it back?

"Let me."

Tucking the small medical kit under his arm, Kakashi lifted Yakushi Nonou's large medical kit from below,

under her somewhat surprised and 'the child has grown up' gaze.

"No wonder Sara likes you so much, you're very gentle."

"Not at all."

"Such a thoughtful child."

The lingering glow of the setting sun illuminated the buildings in the Land of Rain. This kind of clear weather was gradually

becoming more frequent in the Land of Rain.

Arriving at the white-robed nun's home, Kakashi set down the medical kit. Among the bottles, jars, and medical

equipment scattered around, he saw many unfamiliar organs.
