Chapter 2 - Chapter 2: Reborn as Universal Will and Creation of the First Race

After what felt like an eternity, Lex awoke again in his soul form. He looked around and found himself surrounded by a spectacle of unparalleled brilliance. He floated above a vast ocean, but this was no ordinary ocean.

The water of this ocean shimmered with the colors of the stars. Nebulas swirled in the waves, and galaxies sparkled like jewels beneath the surface.

Planets reflected in the water, making it seem as if the sky had been flipped upside down. When he looked up, there was only darkness; but the ocean below shimmered with starlight, illuminating the surroundings with a brightness almost like day.

"What… is this weird place?" Lex thought.

Cautiously, he stepped onto the surface of the ocean. It felt cool and strangely solid beneath his feet, as if the water had frozen just for him. "It's supporting my weight… or maybe it's because I'm a soul without a body," he murmured, wonder creeping into his voice as he stared at his flickering hand.

The feeling was strange but not unpleasant. Curiosity got the better of him, and he reached down to touch the water.

The moment his finger broke the surface, a rush of information flooded his mind. It was as if a million thoughts, images, and sounds were forced into his head all at once.

He cried out in pain, his soul form flickering faster, he tried to pull his hand back, but the ocean grabbed hold of him, and dragged him into its depths.

Lex struggled vigorously, but there was no escaping the waves. As he sank deeper, he saw flashes of knowledge, things no human was meant to know. He saw the rules, the laws that governed the universe: gravity, time, energy, and matter.

He saw how they connected, and how they worked together to create existence. It was overwhelming, but somehow he understood it.

The deeper he descended into the ocean, the more profound his transformation became. His mortal soul form began to dissolve, melting away like mist in the morning sun, replaced by an ethereal form that defied mortal understanding.

His soul drank deeply from the ocean's boundless energy, and with each heartbeat, he felt his essence intertwine with the vastness around him.

When the metamorphosis reached its zenith, he emerged from the water, suspended in mid-air, hovering effortlessly above its starry night-like surface.

He looked down at himself in awe, struggling to comprehend the wondrous being he had become. His body was now a translucent marvel, resembling fine crystal, with swirling energies akin to galaxies pulsating within him.

Stars sparkled in his veins, illuminating his form with an otherworldly glow.

He could no longer identify as human; he had transcended earthly limits, embodying the very fabric of the cosmos and no longer bound by his previous mortality.

He looked around and realized he was in the heart of something immense, a primordial universe. It was empty except for the ocean below him, and he could feel its endless potential now.

"I am now the universal will of this nascent universe, what an overwhelming responsibility," Lex murmured to himself.

"What are those?" he murmured, eyes widening as he began to notice things he had never seen before. He reached out, extending a single finger to touch the newborn laws and rules of the universe.

"These… these are the chains that hold everything together in the universe—gravity, time, motion, energy. I can see them now, but why do they appear as infinitesimal threads?" he said, still caught in quiet awe.

He could now also hear sounds that resonated with his very soul, vibrations, and whispers that carried the secrets of existence, although now it carried comprehension of the laws since there was no creatures in the universe except him.

"My mind feels like a limiter has shattered. I'm no longer bound by the constraints of my old life. I can now think in ways I never imagined I could…layered and multidimensional. It's as if I can contemplate infinite possibilities all at once," he said as he sat cross-legged above the ocean, contemplating his next steps.

He now had overwhelming power coursing through him, he had the power to create stars, planets, and galaxies. He could shape this universe into anything he desired.

He teleported from the Origin Ocean and emerged into the vast, unending expanse of the universe—a solitary figure adrift in the swirling void.

From one empty region to another, he moved across the silent cosmos, but no matter where he went, the same overwhelming stillness clung to him. The silence wasn't just around him—it pressed inward, like a weight on his chest.

Still, he pressed on. He explored, wandered, observed. Yet the more he traveled, the deeper the ache became. He longed for connection, for voices, for presence, for something to break the monotony.

Humans are social creatures, and though Lex had transcended much, he still carried remnants of his humanity. And with that humanity came an unbearable truth: even a god can grow lonely.

He gazed into the endless dark void, a deep sense of loneliness washed over him, a feeling that his still mortally fragile heart could hardly fathom.

The universe, still in its nascent state, held the potential for so much beauty, but to Lex, it felt too empty.

"The loneliness and boredom will become too much to bear after a few years… and I hate boredom," Lex thought.

Driven by this yearning, he decided to create beings—entities that would not only relieve his loneliness but also help him nurture the delicate balance of the cosmos.

With a deep breath, he returned to the Origin Ocean. He floated above it and slowly extended his hand toward the Origin Ocean. The Origin Energy glowed and pulsated, responding to his will.

He drew origin energy from this infinite-like Ocean, the energy flowed into him like rivers of light, illuminating His crystal body, the process was slow, deliberate, and meticulous.

He would create the first race of the universe. He instinctively knew that this act would require more than mere energy. To create a race worthy of being called the first, he would need to weave into them fragments of the Origin Law itself—the primal, foundational principles that governed the universe only then would they be worthy ofbeing called the first race of the cosmos.

As he began the process of creation, the universe remained eerily silent. Stars had yet to ignite, galaxies had yet to form, and the laws were still in their infancy. The only sound he could hear was the faint hum of Origin Energy that was coursing through his body.

Time seemed to stretch endlessly, each moment felt like an eternity as he poured his complete focus into the creation of his cosmic entities.

The first creature he created was Timorath, the Timekeeper. Lex sculpted his form with great care, weaving strands of Origin Energy into a humanoid figure.

Timorath's head was adorned with three majestic golden horns, curved like those of an antelope—each one imbued with a distinct aspect of time.

The left horn glowed with a soft, blue light, capable of rewinding time. The middle horn pulsed with a steady, purple hue, able to stop time indefinitely.

The right horn glowed with a vibrant, red energy, capable of accelerating time by billions of times. Runes etched into his skin pulsed with power, each symbol representing a different aspect of time manipulation.

Next, Lex turned his attention to the creation of Vastoth, the Guardian of Space. He drew upon the Origin Ocean once more, this time shaping a colossal being that resembled a whale.

Vastoth's body was vast, its single eye the size of a galaxy, glowing with an otherworldly light.

Lex imbued Vastoth with the power to manipulate spatial dimensions, ensuring that the fabric of space would remain unchanged.

The Origin Law fragment within Vastoth granted him dominion over the laws governing space, making him an unwavering sentinel against spatial anomalies.

The third entity to emerge was Kismetor, the Master of the Law of Destiny. Lex crafted a colossal bird, its feathers shimmering with the colors of the cosmos.

Though smaller in stature compared to Timorath and Vastoth, Kismetor's power was no less formidable.

He bestowed upon him the ability to oversee the threads of destiny, ensuring that each being's path was woven into the grand tapestry of the universe.

As Lex immersed himself in his complex work, he created seven additional entities, each embodying a fundamental law of existence: creation, destruction, duality, life and death, reincarnation, and cosmic order.

They were not merely creations; each being was a masterpiece, meticulously created with forms and powers that resonated deeply with the principles they represented and Lex's vision.

Lex infused each entity with a fragment of the elusive Origin Law, imbuing them with an essence that intertwined them with the very fabric of the universe.

These beings were destined to stand as unwavering pillars of balance in the vast and uncharted expanse of the cosmos maintaining balance and order.

He continued his creation, the process was arduous, spanning billions, perhaps trillions of years. The universe remained silent, a vast, empty expanse waiting for the touch of life.

As the final entities began to take shape, Lex experienced a profound sense of achievement.

The universe, which had once been silent and void, would now be vibrant and full of life thanks to his creations.

Countless entities of the First Race of the universe stood majestically before him, each one a testament to his will and vision.

Lex knew the act of creation was far from complete, and this was only the beginning. But in that moment, he allowed himself a well-earned pause. For the first time, the universe held a glimpse of balance, of order, and of infinite possibility.
