Every ninja present was once a force to be reckoned with in the shinobi world—renowned figures, even if now mostly retired. Their names still carried weight.
Yet faced with Momoshiki, an extraterrestrial invader, even working together, they found it incredibly difficult to handle just his summoned beasts.
Like any form of energy, chakra had both quantity and quality. And as a member of the Ōtsutsuki clan, Momoshiki was born with a body perfectly attuned to chakra. In fact, chakra itself could be said to have originated from the Ōtsutsuki ancestors—it was energy tailored for their bloodline.
So, attempting to destroy the rock serpent or the firebird in the sky was nearly as difficult as shattering a complete Susanoo!
Among everyone present, only Tsunade and the Raikage, along with deadly jutsu like Kakashi's Purple Lightning, had any real chance of breaking through. Most other attacks were barely worth mentioning.
Fortunately, Tsunade had summoned a clone of the Slug Sage just in time. With its wide-range healing ability, the wounded were able to quickly recover their stamina and injuries.
After a relentless cycle of battle, like a wheel formation, they finally managed to take down the firebird and carve a path through the rock serpent.
Universal Pull!
But to Momoshiki, their efforts had only just barely reached the threshold of "mildly interesting."
He reached out again, activating the Rinnegan in his palm to control gravity—
Lifting the Fourth Raikage, who was charging forward, and slamming him brutally into Tsunade.
Almighty Push!
A powerful repulsion burst out from Momoshiki in waves, one after another, without pause.
Since this Rinnegan originated from Momoshiki himself, his chakra reserves were unimaginably vast.
A relentless storm of Almighty Pushes slammed into the many Kage-level fighters. They couldn't even resist—they were blown away one after another.
The spot where Momoshiki stood turned instantly into a massive crater, as if struck by a meteor.
"Faster, damn it!"
Buried in the rubble, Isshiki—who had forcefully unsealed part of his strength from the experimental vessel—shouted frantically.
The god-tech he'd implanted into Jigen, his host body, was about to be completely refined by Momoshiki!
The shinobi world's so-called elites were proving completely useless. His only option now was to keep calling for help.
Whatever glory he once had—none of it mattered anymore. All that mattered now was preserving the last remnants of his god-tech and power...
...
Thankfully, Sasuke and Naruto finally arrived.
This was their first time facing the Ōtsutsuki Clan directly, and Kinshiki, with his wealth of combat experience and overwhelming strength, had pushed them to the brink—nearly killing them both.
But by combining their powers to summon the Armored Susanoo, they finally managed to suppress Kinshiki at the energy and power level.
Even so, Kinshiki's phasing abilities and formidable combat techniques continued to be a serious problem.
Luckily, thanks to the many slug Tsunade had summoned, Sasuke and Naruto each had a Slug Sage clone to replenish their chakra. With a constant stream of support, they finally found an opening.
Together, they struck Kinshiki with a single slash—from head to toe—nearly cutting him in two.
Though Kinshiki managed to phase out and escape in the end, he was badly injured. The threat was neutralized for now.
With the Slug Sage providing backup, Sasuke and Naruto now had astonishing stamina. And their recent victory over Kinshiki had given them the confidence to take down Momoshiki and drive these alien invaders from the shinobi world once and for all.
...
At the same time, Neji—frozen by Urashiki's surprise attack—was recovering rapidly under the care of a Slug Sage clone. His chest began to rise and fall weakly, his breath slowly stabilizing.
The Breathing Art of the Sage Path was reactivating inside him. The power of temporal stasis, which had filled his body, was dissipating into the environment—being absorbed into the shinobi world bit by bit.
Though the progress was slow, the more of that stasis was undone, the faster his breathing would become, and thus, the faster the thawing would accelerate!
...
After forcing Kinshiki to retreat, Naruto and Sasuke rushed to the battlefield. Naruto lifted the wounded and relocated them to the area with the most Slug clones.
Then, in a golden flash, he launched himself directly at Momoshiki, determined to end the alien who had slaughtered so many of his comrades.
Sasuke, being more strategic, took a different approach. After speaking with several of the fighters, he learned that the most urgent task now was to separate Momoshiki from Isshiki, who was being gradually refined within that red glow.
They could then use Isshiki's remaining power to balance out the threat posed by the Ōtsutsuki from beyond the stars.
Amenotejikara.
Sasuke instantly swapped places with Momoshiki.
But just then, Kinshiki—who had fled earlier with serious injuries—suddenly reappeared, standing between Sasuke and Momoshiki.
With his massive frame, he blocked Sasuke's line of sight to Momoshiki entirely.
"Hmph."
Sensing the unavoidable force of space-time transfer, Kinshiki realized his body wouldn't hold out much longer.
Without hesitation, he created a blade using Furious Smelting and cut himself in half.
As Momoshiki's most trusted servant—and half a mentor to him—Kinshiki had always remembered that everything he possessed was a gift from the main family, from Momoshiki himself.
And now, his final offering... would be death in return.
...
Sasuke succeeded in switching places—but only with half of Kinshiki's body.
The red giant blade formed from Furious Smelting swept horizontally. Even with just half a body, the strength of an Ōtsutsuki's physique was something no shinobi could rival.
Their life force and power were on a whole other level.
The attack, fired off with Kinshiki's remaining strength, snapped Sasuke's sword clean in two. He barely had time to activate Susanoo in the nick of time—only for it to shatter under the blow.
Even so, the force sent Sasuke flying like a ragdoll.
Rasengan!
The next moment, hundreds of Naruto's shadow clones appeared, each launching a Rasengan at Kinshiki.
Some of the clones even looped around to attack Momoshiki directly.
Even with just half a body left, Kinshiki was still a full-fledged Ōtsutsuki. He wouldn't live much longer, but as long as he still drew breath, he would never allow the filthy, disgraceful blood of these natives to lay their unworthy hands on Momoshiki.
Driven mad, he transformed Furious Smelting into a massive ten-meter-long blade and charged into the swarm of shadow clones, slashing wildly.
He even tanked numerous Rasengan head-on, his already overtaxed body beginning to fall apart under the pressure.
...
"That's enough. By the authority of the main family... I grant you rebirth. Use the body of the one before you."
Amid the sea of shadow clones, Kinshiki—his head half-destroyed—grinned in intoxicated reverence. Then, he swung his massive blade, shattering a group of clones, and lunged toward one particular Naruto that hadn't dispersed.
Amenotejikara!
Sasuke once again swapped places with Naruto, activating Susanoo to seize Kinshiki's head.
"How dare you!"
From a distance, Momoshiki watched this unfold. While he didn't particularly care about Kinshiki's life or death—
The fact that a native like Sasuke had the audacity to interfere with Kinshiki's reincarnation?
Unforgivable!
A directional shockwave, formed from repulsive force, blasted forth from the Rinnegan in Momoshiki's palm.
Susanoo shattered, and Sasuke was knocked out cold by the shockwave.
Kinshiki's head, freed from Sasuke's grip, slammed into Naruto's chest and exploded—turning into a pitch-black brand that embedded itself deep into Naruto's heart.
A Pill Formed.
From amidst the crowd, Isshiki—who had forcefully unsealed his body from the experimental vessel—let out a miserable scream.
His true body and power had just been completely severed from him...
