After cutting down all five, Bai Yu muttered to himself softly.
It was clear from the sensation in his blade—none of the five had truly died.
Bai Yu narrowed his eyes, lifted his blade, and began walking toward them.
These so-called Supernova pirates—a flashy title—but every one of them was a criminal guilty of arson, plundering, and murder. Their crimes stained the seas of the New World and beyond.

A sudden scream tore through the air at the far end of the street.
Bai Yu's ears twitched, his gaze sharpened.
He knew that voice all too well.
It was Straw Hat Luffy—unmistakably his voice!
"Has he already started fighting Kizaru?" Bai Yu thought to himself, brows furrowed.
In the original events, Kizaru had always seemed to be "holding back"—Zoro could have been taken out with one kick, and yet the Admiral dragged the fight on. Only when Bartholomew Kuma arrived did the Straw Hats escape their fate.
"Tashigi, shackle them with Seastone and prepare them for transport," Bai Yu ordered calmly, eyes still fixed on the direction of the roar.

The next instant, Bai Yu's body vanished with a thunderous flash—Ben Lei's speed exploding as he shot toward the battlefield like lightning.
"Y-Yes!" Tashigi blinked in surprise but quickly moved forward, preparing to restrain the fallen Hawkins and his crew.
"ROOM."
"Scan."
A glowing sphere of spatial energy appeared out of nowhere, instantly enveloping the downed Supernova pirates.

In a blink, a mysterious power activated.
The five unconscious figures vanished from the spot.
Tashigi stood stunned, her hand still outstretched.
Across the street, atop the roof of a crumbling building, a figure emerged from the shadows.
He lowered his palm slowly.
The glowing ROOM dome faded with it.
If Bai Yu were here, he would recognize this man instantly.
Trafalgar D. Water Law—another Supernova captain.
"What a terrifying man..." Law murmured, gazing toward the trail of thunder left behind by Bai Yu.
"One person… defeated five Supernova captains."
Law had chosen to remain behind earlier, unwilling to follow Kidd and the others.
He had sensed the incoming battle and decided to observe from a distance.
Never had he expected to witness the overwhelming force with which Bai Yu had neutralized Hawkins and his crew.
Holding his breath the entire time, Law had shielded himself with his ROOM to avoid detection.
Only after Bai Yu departed did he dare intervene—extracting the fallen to safety.
"Looks like from now on, we'll need to fear more than just the Admirals," Law whispered, solemnly warning himself.
From this day on, the Supernova of the Worst Generation would spread a new tale:

"Because once he sets his eyes on you… it's already too late."

He landed on a wide-open battlefield scorched and cracked by combat.
The signs of destruction were everywhere—craters from blasts, melted concrete, shattered stone.

"Don't think I don't know what you're up to," Bai Yu said coldly.
"You're not trying to capture Luffy—you're trying to save him."
"You're Bartholomew Kuma, Revolutionary Army officer!"
At those words, Kuma's calm expression cracked, his eyes narrowing slightly.
How did Bai Yu know?
His Revolutionary ties were a secret—known only to Dragon's closest circle.
"I don't know what you're talking about."
"Step aside."
"Do not interfere."
Shwoop!
Before the last word fully left his lips, Kuma's massive body vanished.
He reappeared behind Luffy in an instant, paw raised again.
FWOOM!
But Bai Yu was already there.
He pivoted, appearing just as Kuma's hand came down—and intercepted again.

The paw met Sakuragi once more.
At that same moment, Rayleigh's sword shoved back Kizaru's glowing Ama no Murakumo blade.
Taking the opening, Rayleigh dashed across the battlefield.
"Yo yo yo, I can't let you go that easily," Kizaru said in his usual lazy drawl.
His body dissolved into photons and scattered across the air.
Using the speed of the Glint-Glint Fruit, he pursued Rayleigh.
In the span of seconds, the three converged near Luffy.
Their positions shifted naturally, like pieces on a board.
Kuma stood alone, stoic.
Rayleigh stood nearby, sword lowered but tense.
Bai Yu had aligned beside Kizaru—his stance unreadable.
Luffy, injured and emotionally shattered, sat at the center of it all.
Four powerful men… all watching one another.
Tension filled the battlefield.
None of them made a move.
