The moment his subordinate mentioned a certain name, Eustass Kidd's expression instantly darkened.

Kidd snorted coldly, his tone filled with irritation.
Then, like a beast, he suddenly clawed at Tashigi's right hand, tightening his grip as if he intended to crush her bones and strangle the life out of her.

A deafening thunderclap echoed through the air.
From behind, a streak of lightning flashed by at a speed far too fast for the naked eye to follow.
A blade gleamed—cold, sharp, merciless.
Kidd, the notorious supernova captain known for his brutal intuition, immediately sensed the danger behind him.
Without hesitation, he released Tashigi and flung himself to the side in a reflexive evasive maneuver.

But Kidd's instincts, sharp as they were, couldn't match the speed of the approaching figure.
In a split second, the attacker passed right by Kidd—lightning still flickering in his wake.
Catching Tashigi before she collapsed, the figure halted.
At the same time—

A deep gash tore open Kidd's right arm, slicing nearly to the bone. Blood gushed freely, painting his coat crimson.

Gasps erupted from every corner of the street.
All eyes turned to the figure who had arrived like divine retribution.
It was none other than the blade demon of the Navy—Bai Yu.
"Bai Yu..."
Tashigi, staring up at the swordsman holding her so closely, muttered his name in a near whisper.

Bai Yu's voice was uncharacteristically gentle.

Tashigi nodded, her eyes wide.
The two ignored the stunned crowd.
Once assured of her safety, Bai Yu carefully released Tashigi and turned to face Kidd.
Kidd's eyes had changed. The fierce glint of a cornered beast now gleamed in them.
"Who the hell are you?!"
"You think you can sneak up on me?!"
Kidd roared, pain from his wounded arm adding fury to his tone.
"Bai Yu."
The man answered calmly, his tone devoid of emotion.
A beat passed—
Then Kidd's expression twisted into rage.
The name, paired with the Navy coat, clicked in his mind like thunder rolling across a battlefield.
This man—he was the one.
The one who had killed Killer, Kidd's loyal right hand!
As the saying goes: when enemies meet, hatred burns like wildfire.
Kidd's killing intent surged.
Meanwhile, high above on the rooftops, four other figures watched the scene unfold—each infamous in their own right.
"So that's the rookie the Navy's been talking about? The one called Bai Yu?"
"Tch... to think we'd run into him before the admiral even arrives."
"They say he took down Doflamingo recently, didn't he?"
"..."
Watching intently were the infamous Supernovas:
Basil Hawkins – 249 million berries, Wara Wara no Mi user with the power of straw and fate.
X Drake – 222 million berries, an Ancient Zoan user with the form of an Allosaurus.
Scratchmen Apoo – 198 million berries, a bizarre fighter who turns music into destruction.
Urouge – 108 million berries, a monk with an unknown Devil Fruit and a sinister smile.
Including Kidd, five of the Worst Generation were present.
"You killed Killer...!"
Kidd growled, trembling with rage.
Hearing this, Bai Yu gently nudged Tashigi behind him, then grinned faintly.
"A pirate getting killed by the Navy... is that really so shocking?"
He asked mockingly.
Graaa!!
Kidd snapped.
Both fists clenched, trembling with rage and pain.
Ka-ka-ka-ka...!
The next instant, magnetic energy exploded outward from his body.
His Jiki Jiki no Mi power activated violently.
All around, metallic weapons, scraps, and tools flew toward him at high speed, as if drawn by a god's command.
Even Bai Yu's swords—Sakuragi and Zhen Wushuang Taisao, both at his hip—trembled slightly.
Had he not pressed them down with Haki, they would have been pulled from him.
Clank!
Within seconds, Kidd's right arm transformed—no longer flesh, but a grotesque, towering mechanical limb composed of steel wreckage and weapon fragments.
"Exactly..."
"And just like that, it's perfectly normal for pirates to kill the Navy too!"
BOOM!!
He charged forward with his massive iron fist, slamming it toward Bai Yu with brutal force.
"So this is the hand that touched her...?"
Bai Yu muttered darkly.
His right hand calmly gripped the hilt of Sakuragi.
Flames began to rise from the sword—an intense manifestation of his sword intent.
"Seiryuu Zangetsu (Azure Dragon Slash)!"
As the monstrous fist closed in, Bai Yu unleashed his blade.

A searing, crescent-shaped flame slash burst forth—glowing orange, laced with blue lightning.
BOOM!!!
The slash and the iron arm collided mid-air.
For a brief second, it seemed as though the fist might hold—
Then it didn't.
SHRRRIP—!
To the shock of everyone, Bai Yu's blade tore straight through Kidd's massive metal arm, cleaving it clean in half.
"What?!"
Kidd's pupils shrank in disbelief. He immediately released the wreckage and jumped back.
But—
Zi!
Bai Yu stepped into the thunder again.
In a flash, he was directly in front of Kidd.
Too fast.
Kidd didn't even have time to raise his remaining hand.
With precision only a master swordsman could possess, Bai Yu slashed downward at the joint of Kidd's remaining right arm.
SHHK!
A clean cut.
Kidd's actual arm—not metal—was severed.
It flew through the air, trailing a long arc of blood.
His body, thrown by the momentum of the attack, slammed hard into the ground.
The other Supernovas were stunned.
Cold sweat dripped from their foreheads.
Too fast.
Far too fast.
They hadn't even seen the movement clearly.
One moment, Bai Yu had just attacked the metal arm—
The next, Kidd's real arm was gone.
"Is this guy really a newcomer...?"
Urouge muttered, beads of sweat rolling down his face.
"That oppressive pressure... I've never felt it, not even in front of a Marine Admiral."
X Drake narrowed his eyes, muscles tensed.
"Retreat...!" Apoo croaked out. "We're not equipped to deal with this freak!"
"I wouldn't be so quick," Hawkins said calmly, flipping a tarot card.
"Death reversed... huh."
Meanwhile—
With Kidd writhing and bleeding, Bai Yu sheathed his blade and took a single step forward.
His gaze cold.
His aura suffocating.
Kidd's blood stained the street.
And Bai Yu... kept walking.
