Yuki nodded, but she couldn't help but think that there was one more reason behind Kazuki's decision that he was hiding.
Kazuki and Yuki treated their injuries and waited for Ryuma to wake up.
A few minutes later, Ryuma slowly opened his eyes. He immediately stood up and saw Kazuki and Yuki sitting there.
He calmed down and said, "What happened after I fainted?"
Kazuki replied, "Well, I kinda unlocked my Sharingan and killed Deidara."
"Wow, that's amazing, but what about the other two?" Ryuma asked.
Yuki told him the reason and Ryuma thought it was valid because Keiko also hated wars.
Ryuma asked, "Did you two get any injuries?"
"Yuki got a little injury on her leg, which will take a few days to heal but you should worry about yourself. You had injuries everywhere. I patched you up, but you still lost plenty of blood." Kazuki replied.
They talked for a few minutes before Kazuki said, "Both of you should sleep. You have more injuries than me. I'll stay awake and alert you if someone tries to attack us. It'll be a problem if someone ambushes us now."
Ryuma said, "No, I'll stay on guard, both of you were awake the whole time while I was unconscious."
Yuki said, "No, you've got the worst injuries among us and you can't sense either. Kazuki and I will stay on guard in shifts. Kazuki, wake me up after three hours, and then you can sleep.
Kazuki nodded, and Ryuma also reluctantly agreed.
Both of them went to sleep while Kazuki was on guard and sensing other teams.
Kazuki thought, 'Very few teams are left. I guess Onoki is going to be really mad after seeing that a single team from Konoha defeated almost 20 Iwa Genin.'
Kazuki frowned as he thought, 'I can't believe I killed Deidara today. It's going to affect the main story in many ways, which will make my knowledge about the future meaningless, but there was no other way. If I left him alive, then he would have come for my team in the future and I'm not sure I could have handled him at his peak.'
Kazuki stayed on guard for the whole night and didn't wake Yuki up.
In the morning, both Yuki and Ryuma woke up.
Yuki pouted and said, "Why didn't you wake me?"
Kazuki rubbed the back of his head and replied, "Well, I kinda took a children edition chakra pill in the battle by accident, so I can't sleep for 2 more days."
"You should be more careful. Chakra pills are not to be taken this lightly." Yuki said.
"Sorry, I'll be more careful from now on." Kazuki replied.
Kazuki was obviously lying, he took the chakra pill just last night so that he could stay awake and make sure nobody ambushes them.
For the next 3 days Kazuki and his team didn't fight anyone, but they had to change their hideout 2 times because he sensed the 2nd Konoha team coming towards them. They already had more than enough scrolls, which were more than necessary to win, so they didn't have to worry about anything.
After some time, a loud siren was heard, indicating the end of this round.
In just a few minutes several ninjas started coming and escorting the Genins to the exit.
They were all taken into a large hall where the Tsuchikage and some more important people were gathered.
Kazuki saw Kurotsuchi, Akatsuchi and many more genin, but he couldn't see the 2nd Konoha team.
'They must have fled. I'll report them anyway.' Kazuki thought.
Someone in the room was very shocked by what he was witnessing, and it was none other than Onoki.
He stopped a nearby ANBU and asked, "Where are our other genin?"
"I'm afraid they couldn't make it out alive, Lord Tsuchikage." The ANBU replied.
Onoki asked, "What about Deidara?"
"He died as well, his heart was stabbed by a sword." The ANBU replied.
Onoki looks in the direction of Kurotsuchi's team and notices Akatsuchi's missing arm.
Onoki was beyond angry at this point, his chakra started to flare up.
The ground below him starts to crack, and everyone in the room notices his anger.
Kazuki also sensed the massive chakra.
He activated his Sharingan and looked Onoki in the eye.
Onoki saw the Sharingan and started sweating a little.
'Those eyes,' Onoki thought, 'They remind me of him.'
Onoki had an image of Uchiha Madara in his mind.
He thought, 'We have to eliminate him, or he might become the next ace of Konoha. Our people still fear Minato, and now they have yet another prodigy?"
Onoki stopped flaring his chakra and Kazuki also deactivated his sharingan while thinking, 'Damn, the sharingan is really amazing. I could literally see his chakra in a visual form. I can't wait to master it, then I can protect Yuki for sure. I'm also a little happy that I awakened my sharingan because of the desire to protect someone.'
The ninjas count the scrolls of each team and almost everyone is surprised.
Only three teams were able to qualify for the next round. The team on the third spot was the team from Iwagakure, consisting of Kurotsuchi and Akatsuchi, with a total of 6 scrolls.
The team in the second spot was a team from Kumogakure with a total of 12 scrolls, and in the first spot was the team from Konohagakure with a total of 20 scrolls.
Onoki was so angry that he started flying towards the exit, not even saying anything to the winners.
Before leaving, he said, "Akatsuchi and Kurotsuchi, come to my office after your injuries are treated."
The announcer said, "All right everyone, the second round of the Chunin Exam is officially over. The qualified teams will have to come to the Iwagakure stadium in a month from now."
Kazuki said, "A month, huh! We can train a lot in that time, what do you say?"
Yuki and Ryuma nodded, and they headed towards the exit of the hall.
