"The judge has a verdict!"
Looking at the face of the jury, I could already tell what the upcoming answer was.
'It's okay though.'
"The accused Noah Racksters, stand-up"
I stood up and looked at the face of the judge, who was looking at me with unmeasurable rage.
'I bet that, if he could, he would kill me right here, right now.'
"There is no word in this world that could describe a monster… like you. The seven victims, kids who had a whole future ahead… the things that you did to those kids… that's not the work of a human… that's the work of a demon"
I couldn't help but chuckle.
"A demon huh? I like it…" I couldn't help but laugh.
"Do you not even have a bit… of repentance in you? Look around you, look at the fathers, mothers, sisters, brothers… look at those who have you harmed!" Shouted the judge.
I looked around at the faces that looked at me with different emotions.
Sorrow.
Rage.
Anger.
Wrath.
"Indeed… looking at them… I can only say…"
"I do repent…"
I couldn't help but smile.
"I do repent… that I killed them way~ too easily… is indeed a shame"
"MONSTER!"
"DEMON!"
"YOU WILL BURN IN HELL!"
Looking at their faces I couldn't help but feel… a certain… satisfaction.
'Look at them… Io, you should be smiling as well'
"You are indeed a demon… this jury finds you guilty and you are sentenced to the death penalty!"
*CLAPS*
*CLAPS*
*CLAPS*
Applauses filled the room as the verdict was announced.
"Guards! Take him!" Said the judge.
Two officers grabbed me by the arms.
I didn't put any resistance.
There was no need to.
However…
"Judge Martins… I want to say something"
"Too late, there is nothing else to say that can safe you"
"Oh, I know that don't worry about it… however, I feel in the necessity to point out that you might have make a small mistake"
"?"
I lifted my hands.
"You mention that I killed 7… right?"
"Yes?"
"I see… it seems that poor poor Nora doesn't receive calls of her daddy so often~"
"What…"
In a second, I saw the judge lifting his phone and dialing…
Of course, that answer would never reach.
I made sure of it.
"My daughter… where is my daughter!?" Shouted the judge.
He jumped and grabbed me by my collar.
"WHERE IS MY DAUGHTER!? WHERE IS IT!? YOU MOTHERFUCKER"
"Hahaha"
I couldn't help but laugh at his face.
"Let's just say… that your dogs might have changed their diet in these couple of days"
The face of chief Martins became pale as he looked at me.
"See ya, judge Martins, it was nice seeing you after all these years" I said.
While the guards escort me to my cell, I could feel the curses behind me.
"DIE! DIE! DIE YOU DEMON!"
'I suppose… I am indeed a demon… Io… sis'
..................
Sitting on my cell, I was informed that my execution would be tomorrow.
"Your last meal?" Asked the guard.
"I would have…"
I tried to recall what was my last meal with… her.
"A hamburger… with cheese… and a coke"
The guard nodded and left the cell.
Laying in my bed, I recalled our last meal.
...............…..
"Happy birthday Noah!"
"Sis…"
"What are you crying for~ silly, today is a day to celebrate!"
"But… the money…"
"Hey, hey, you are a child, I am the adult, let the adult problems to the adults"
"But sis… you are only 5 years older than me… and not even…twen- *Auch*!"
"Stop the silly talk and eat! This is the best hamburger with cheese in the whole world!"
"Rea- really?"
"Of course! I, yours truly, your big sister Io, ensures it!"
.............
Funny, that was an ordinary hamburger that you could find anywhere…
However…
'That was indeed the best hamburger with cheese… sis…'
As I feel some moist in my eyes, I heard steps coming to me… so I quickly wiped my eyes.
"Your meal"
The guard brought simple hamburger with a coke and fries. A retractable table was hastly made as I grabbed a nearby chair.
I grabbed the hamburger and took big bite.
Oh!
Ohhhh!
"This savor… it's exactly like that day!"
It's amazing.
I don't know if it's because I remember that day, but this is the exact same savor… like back them.
"I suppose it is"
?
I didn't realize but the guard hasn't left yet.
Looking at him closely, he was a tall man. His eyes were hidden under his hat, on his right arm, there was a file, with a picture of me there.
It seemed that he was looking at my reaction as he smiled.
It seems that, besides the table, he had also a chair.
"Do you mind?" He said as he sat down.
"I do mind… actually"
"Well, don't be like that, I am actually quite interest in you" Said the guard.
He smiled and opened the file.
"Noah Racksters, 22 years old, no parents, rose in Saint Peter's church"
"…"
"At the age of 10, the church was burn by a pyromaniac, killing all the nuns and children. The only survivors where you and sister Io, who was 15 back then"
"…"
"Living in poverty, sister Io left her ecclesiastic life and rose the only survivor of the tragedy. She worked as a waitress in McTriffle's caffe while you studied in Santander's public school"
The man lifted the page and went to the next one.
"At the age of fifteen, due to excellency, you managed to skip some grades and secure an early admission at Phoenyx's university"
"And then-"
"Stop" I said.
The man stopped for a second before laughing.
"Haha, come on, don't look at me like that, we are getting to the best part"
"At the age of twenty, Io Rackters was found in a nearby alley, with clear signs of abuse"
I gripped my fists as I felt some blood dripping from my palms.
"Further investigations reveled that Io was being harassed by a group of schoolers, 8 in total. With Leonardo Gracker as the presumed rapist and the other as accomplices, the case was a national scandal, not so much for the brutality of the murder, but because of the identity of the perpetrators, after all, Leonardo Gracker was the son of the major" Said the guard.
"Where are you trying to get at?" I asked.
"Wait, I am not finished"
The guard turned to another page of the file.
"It was clear that the party involve was guilty, everyone knew it… however, ha, and this is the part I find the most amusing one!" Said the guard.
He took a small piece of paper from his pocket and put it on the table. It was a piece of newspaper, the date was from four years ago, and the header was:
'MAYOR'S SON SENTENCED TO FIVE YEARS OF HOUSE ARREST, ALLEGING ALCOHOL ADDICTION'
The guard grabbed the paper and read it with amusement.
"In a controversial decision, Judge Martins sentenced the major's son, Leonardo Gracker, to only five years of house arrest, due to the effect that he is underage, and the defendant allege alcohol addiction, Leonardo gave a heartfelt message to the press:
'I want to apologize to everyone who resulted harmed by my actions, I can't redo what I did, however, I want to let everyone know that it wasn't me, it was the alcohol, I would never do something like this, but it's not an excuse, I will go to rehabilitation, hoping that everyone can give me a second chance'
Public opinion is divided"
I couldn't help but smiled in disdain.
I remember reading that notice.
I ripped the newspaper in pieces of course.
It was the alcohol? Not me? What kind of fucking excuse is that!?
ARE YOU FUCKING KIDDING ME!? FIVE YEARS!?
FOR KILLING AND RAPPING MY SISTER?
FIVE YEARS!?
"After that, a year passed, and Leonardo reduced his sentenced due to good behavior and having repaid you a huge amount in compensation"
"Meaningless money" I couldn't help but refute.
"Well… you certainly put in good use"
He took out a photo from the file.
In there, one could see the body of, what it looked to be, a man with a secernated d*ck on his mouth. The man didn't have any limbs and had an expression of horror in his eyes.
I couldn't help smiling once more.
'This picture always put me in good mood'
