Chapter 7 - Chapter 7 - OH MY GOD SHOTA!

Vesemir looked around. It appears that he successfully caught his interlocutors off guard.

"As you found out the truth... may I have my property back?"

Nezu "Young man, I can't give it to you at this moment. Especially the swords.

"Sir. I insist. Return my property to me."

Aizawa looked at the kid, his scarf ready to wrap him "You will not make any demands here, kid."

Vesemir looked at Midnight. "Let me go, Madam."

"Just let's wait a minute... We can talk this through... No need to make hasty decisions," said Midnight, with a gentle voice. She was afraid that something might go wrong in this very moment. She looked at Aizawa with that look, saying, You idiot, to him.

"Madam. I believe that soon I might need to defend myself from an act of aggression. I demand you let my hand loose." He tried to be civil, but the tone of his voice made it sound like a threat.

Nemuri held his arm firm, not wanting him to start anything. "Please just let us talk about it, okay? In this country it's illegal to walk on the streets with your weapons. Heroes do have a right to bear arms, but civilians do not. Can you tell me why you need your weapons?"

"It's not just about the weapons. I have some potions that might be dangerous if somebody uses them. My swords are tools of my craft. My armor has some gold saved inside it, just in case. I guess I dropped my crossbow, so I have to get another one. I hope I still have my knives." Said Vesemir with a hint of hope to get his stuff back.

"I understand, young man, that you want your possessions back. Let's make a deal then. On the UA grounds, you can move freely with your equipment. Even swords if you wish, but when you leave, you must leave your weapons. A member of UA faculty will accompany you all the time when you are outside until we decide otherwise. You will have to answer some more questions if you are okay with that." Nezu said calmly to the boy.

Vesemir looked at Aizawa. His look was taxing the danger... for a couple seconds there was a silence in the room... Midnight relaxed her grasp on his arm and gently stroked it soothingly. He looked back at the animal that was a principal of UA and said, "I understand, sir. I mean you no harm, and I don't understand your laws... now I see that I acted... too harshly. I accept your terms and beg for your forgiveness." He made a sincere bow towards Nezu.

The principal smiled, "Great! Tomorrow your gear will be returned to you. Maybe you have any questions before we continue?"

"I'd rather answer yours... and during them I might get some answers on my own... I promise to speak the truth, but I might choose to not answer a question that may be... too private."

"Let's continue then. Tell us more about yourself. You said something about the Nilfgaard Empire. There is no country knew under this name on this planet."

"How can you be so sure, sir? Maybe Nilfgaard is far, far away?"

Nezu walked towards his desk and took a globe from it. He passed it to the boy. "This is a full map of the 'Earth.' It's the planet we live on. Can you show us where you are from?"

"Certainly, sir. If Nilfgaard is here, I will show it right..." Vesemir studied a globe for a minute... There was no Nilfgaard... no Temeria... Redania... nothing... "...it's...not there..."

Nemuri squeezed his arm gently. "What do you mean not there?"

"Madam. I know geography. There is no land similar to mine... So...my mother did not lie...did not...just told fantasy stories..."

Aizawa asked, truly interested, "What kind of stories, kid?"

"Stories about other worlds... stories about flying metal carriages... or carriages that need no horses to ride... about people with metal in their bodies... about buildings made of glass so clear that you can not tell if the window is open or not just by looking at it... it was all... true?"

Midnight, shocked by his answer, looked at the detective... he only nodded... that Vesemir told the truth. "How could your mom know about it?"

"She was able to... travel to the different... worlds... I thought...that it was just her imagination...something you tell your child as a story..." Vesemir was still studying the globe of the 'Earth.'. Different lands... strange markings... He pointed at some and asked, "What are those markings?"

"You can't read them?" Asked Nezu.

"No... Should I be able to?"

"You speak Japanese like somebody who was born here..."

"Japanese? You all speak common speech..." He looked around them, his heart beating fast.

"Kid. Can you write something?" Aizawa took a pen and a piece of paper and put it in front of Vesemir.

He examined the paper and strange blue stick. "This paper is... better than anything produced in my... world... and... where is the ink?"

"It's inside the pen... It's the blue thing next to the paper... You don't need to worry about the ink." Said Nezu.

And so, Vesemir wrote... his full name and titles... and nobody was able to understand what he wrote...

"It's my name and titles... you seriously can't read that?"

"No young man... nobody can." Said Detective Tsukauchi.

There was an unpleasant silence in the room... After a while, Nemuri hugged the boy and whispered to him. "It's okay... I understand it's hard to believe it, but Detective Tsukauchi would have told us if you were lying... and he didn't... You are safe here. We are pro heroes, and we will help you. Tomorrow I will take you for some shopping outside to show you our world... no weapons though... okay?"

Vesemir's body stiffened under her touch. "Um... Madam... Thank you for your reassurance... but... "

"No buts. You will see on your own how beautiful our world is! Besides, you need a set of clothes to blend in! I won't let you walk in that armor of yours all the time! Nezu! We need to give him a school uniform just for tomorrow! Oh, it's going to be great!"

"Nemuri, calm down. Of course I will allow you to take Vesemir to go shopping... but make sure to not overwhelm him. If I understand correctly, he is not only from a different world but also from a world that is far from the industrial era." Nezu tried to calm down a pro heroine, but it was too late...

"We will buy you jeans! And that great shirt I saw earlier! The dark blue one! Oh! And..."

"And that's enough, Nemuri. Vesemir needs to go back to sleep." Nezu said with a smile on his face. "But before you go, young Vesemir... can you tell me what your mother's name is?"

"Cirilla. Cirilla Fiona Elen Riannon var Emreis. But for the friends and family, just Ciri.

Aizawa opened his eyes wide. "Ciri?"

"Yes, sir. Empress Cirilla for you, Sir." Vesemir looked at the UA teacher with disdain. For now, this man was his least favorite.

Aizawa came closer, putting his hands on the table. "Ciri? White hairs, green eyes, and a scar? Right here?" He put his finger on his left cheek right under the eye.

"How...do you know?" Vesemir asked in shock.

"Nezu! We need to talk. Private," the teacher said.

"I said... How do you know!?" Vesemir stood up fast, shaking off Midnight out of him.

"It's not for you to know, kid. Go to sleep. I need to talk with the principal and..."

"The fuck you need! Tell me, how do you know my mo..." Vesemir loses consciousness under Midnight's quirk. She grabbed him and gently put him on the couch. "Aizawa. What is the meaning of this?" She asked, mad at her fellow teacher.

"Look. I knew Ciri...and the kid is 14 years old...and I met her like 15 years ago...and we..."

"Aizawa... you trying to tell that..." Nezu wasn't able to finish his question.

"Recovery Girl took his blood sample to check in the database, right? Check for email. Nezu, please!"

"He did as Aizawa told him. One email came during their talk with Vesemir. Relatives found... Aizawa Shota... match... 99.9%... Father.

"OH MY GOD SHOTA YOU GOT A GIRL PREGNANT!" Shouted Nemuri
