We finally got and I was still visibly shaking simoen was still shedding tears but a slinet one as not to receive more beating and my aunt husband still had that fierce look on he's face. When we got in, he settled on he's favourite chair then my aunt voice came through " what happened in the market few minutes back? Why did you hit me?". My uncle just kept quite and looked at her fiercely but said nothing.
Then she spoke up again this time her voice slightly higher "I asked why did you hit and what gave you the right to knowing fully well I'm pregnant".
And that was the last straw, my uncle Rose from he's chair and descending a slap on her and then followed a blow to the face sending my aunt to the ground, I screamed in horror while simoen cried loudly shaking. I saw myself on the floor holding my stomach in pain realising I just got kicked by my uncle.
I saw him unbuckle he's belt in the next moment and struck it down at my aunt I cried begging him stop crawling towards my aunt who just lay there shielding herself and also got whipped in the process, then he shouted "what gives you the right to confront me I can do whatever I wan for I'm a man and the man of this house" he said
I finally got close to my aunt to check if she was OK only to be kicked away from her again and immediately I coughed out blood, he kicked my aunt also before taking he's stuff and drying out of the house.
I watched my aunt lay down down motionless with tears streaming down her face and it was that moment that reality dawned on her and the kind of man she has gotten involved with.
Simoen slowly walked towards her calling her softly and shaking her "mummy are you ok?" he asked with teary eyes. And she finally responded as she smiled slightly and him on her laps assuring him that the she was Ok after simoen clamed down, she walked towards me and picked me up taking and cloth and wiping the blood from my mouth as she kept apologising "I'm sorry my dear, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry" was all she chanted with her eyes red and teary.
I pulled her into a hug still sobbing and feeling the pain from my stomach while sobbing because of the impact of the kick, simoen came over and joined in and we just stayed there and remained like that
